Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor, who was suffering from a prolonged illness, breathed his last on Monday at 5:20 pm at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital

Shashi Kapoor, 79, breathed his last at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday. The veteran actor has been ill for the longest time now and was admitted on Sunday afternoon to the hospital. The legendary actor known for his films like ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ and many such super-hit films to his credit, started off in Bollywood as a child artist and did 19 films as a child artist. He made his debut as a lead actor in ‘Dharmputra’ in 1938 and went on to do more than around 116 films. The actor is survived by his three kids Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor.

Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh is trending online courtesy her latest Instagram picture where she is seen showing off her navel in a beautiful blue saree. Fans have noticed how the ‘Dangal’ actress bears a striking resemblance to ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ heroine Katrina Kaif in the photo. Fatima’s snap has been flooded with comments about how she looks like a Katrina Kaif ‘clone’. While several followers have gone gaga over how beautiful the ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ girl looks, some trolls noticed the ‘scar’ below Fatima’s belly button and commented on it, with a user even going to the extent of calling it ‘operation bitemark’.

Last month, too, Fatima Sana Shaikh became the target of trolls for posting a ‘shameless’ selfie in saree. In the photo, Fatima looked elegant in her simple traditional avatar and sported long locks as part of her look for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. While Fatima received many compliments for the snapshot, some netizens trolled her and left nasty comments on her photo.

In June as well,Fatima Sana Shaikh was attacked online for wearing a swimsuit during Ramzan. She had shared a stunning photo where she is seen wearing a halter neck monokini and high waist shorts. She was posing by a pristine beach in Maldives. Fatima’s pictures, however, garnered negative response from some netizens who shamed her for wearing a swimsuit and dressing inappropriately during the holy month of Ramzan.

Fatima Sana Shaikhmade a successful Bollywood debut last year with her role of wrestler Geeta Phogat in the Nitesh Tiwari-directed movie ‘Dangal‘. Aamir Khan played her on-screen father Mahavir Singh Phogat. Fatima Sana Shaikh is all set to work with her ‘Dangal’ co-star Aamir Khan again in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The Yash Raj Films project will be helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who earlier directed Aamir in ‘Dhoom 3’. The movie also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. It is the first time that Bachchan and Aamir are collaborating on a film. The movie is slated to release in Diwali 2018.

Aamir Khan praises Virat Kohli for supporting young sportsmen

Superstar Aamir Khan, who had earlier appeared on a chat show with Virat Kohli, praised the India cricket captain for supporting young sportsmen in the country. “I think what Virat is doing and his entire effort to support to young sportsmen across the country is a wonderful idea,” Aamir said on the sidelines of the first edition of Indian Sports Honour Awards organised by the Virat Kohli Foundation on Saturday here.

Apart from Aamir, choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan along with some of the cricket personalities attended the event. Kohli and his girlfriend and actress-producer Anushka Sharma stole the limelight as they walked together on the red carpet. Actor Sidharth Malhotra said that a lot needs to be done when it comes to sports. “Today, it’s a great thing that we are honouring all sport personalities for their contribution to the country.

“I have just come here to support them. While growing up, I used to play rugby, football and basketball so, I think a lot has to be done when it comes to sports. Today’s event makes it more important because they are supporting other sports apart from cricket. It’s a great initiative,” he added.

Tennis star Sania Mirza admired Kohli’s efforts. “Virat is doing an amazing job. We all know, the amazing batsman he is and the amazing captain we have. But it’s really nice, as an athlete what he is trying to bring in sports and trying to give exposure to every other sport in our country.”

Farah, a close friend of Mirza, was also excited for the awards. “I feel a film should be made on Sania Mirza’s life. She has a great story. I don’t know if I can make it because I am not sporty, but if possible I would love to because she is one of my best friends. As of now, I don’t have such plans,” said the “Happy New Year” director.

Aamir Khan keen on taking Ranveer Singh on board for Priyanka Chopra Starrer Project ?

aamir Rakesh Sharma’s upcoming film which is tentatively titled ‘Salute’ has Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.

Reports suggest that Aamir is keen on taking Ranveer on board for this project. On Tuesday, actor Ranveer Singh was spotted at Aamir’s house for reasons best known to the actors. But, we guess the meet was about a discussion for the film.

Earlier DNA had reported that Aamir wants Ranveer to play a pivotal role in Rakesh Sharma’s biopic. Nothing has been confirmed yet but we would surely want to watch Aamir and Ranveer together on screen.

This Rakesh Sharma’s biopic will also have a fresh pairing of Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra which makes the film much more anticipated. Not only acting but Aamir is also co -producing this film with Sidharth Roy Kapur.

Talking about Ranveer and Aamir’s friendhsip, the duo bond really well. We have seen them hanging together at many events. So much so, Ranveer attends most of Aamir’s film screening and the duo are all smiles for the camera.

Currently, Aamir is riding high on the success of his recently released film Secret Superstar and Ranveer Singh is busy gearing up to kick start the promotions of his upcoming film Padmavati.

When Aamir Khan Rejects Rajinikanth’s 2.0

In this, Aamir Khan reveals in the interview that director Shankar had offered him the film. No, it is not Akshay Kumar’s role, but Rajini’s. Aamir explains how 2.0 is going to be a blockbuster. He said, “I am a big fan of Shankar and I am a big fan of Rajini ji and Shankar offered me that film. Super duper hit film hai wo (It is a super hit film). It is a blockbuster. It is going to break all records.”

Aamir also explained to host Komal Nahta that Rajinikanth himself thought that he was not well and suggested to Shankar that Aamir should do the film. Aamir said, “Rajini sir called me and said please do the film.” So why did he not do the film? The Thugs of Hindostan actor explains, “It is a super script. It is going to do very well. But whenever I used to shut my eyes, I used to see Rajini sir in that role. I couldn’t see myself. Emotionally, I couldn’t do that role. When I used to think of the film, or scene I saw Rajini sir. So then I told Shankar that I will not be able to do the film. Only Rajini sir can do this. He is irreplaceable.”

Aamir also spoke about how the prequel Robot starring Rajinikanth was imprinted in his mind and he loved it. This also happens to be the reason why Aamir cannot imagine anyone in the role.

Rajinikanth’s 2.0, in the meantime, is set to release during the Republic Day weekend in 2018. Before that, a grand music launch is being organised on October 27 at Burj Park in Dubai. The film also stars Amy Jackson in a pivotal role. The music for this film is composed by AR Rahman.

Rajinikanth Wanted This Bollywood Actor To Play His Role In 2.0

Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is said to be one of the most expensive movies in India till date. It goes without saying that Thalaiva’s fan can’t wait for the release of this film. And what makes us even more excited is the fact that we get to see Akshay Kumar in a new avatar alongside Rajinikanth firing the screen together with their sheer talent. It’s like having best of both the worlds!

While we just can’t think of anyone other than legendary Rajinikanth playing Chitti’s character, not many know that he had some other plans in mind before he decided to don this role once again.

In a recent interview with a leading channel, Aamir Khan shared that Rajinikanth wanted him to play the lead in the film as the actor thought he wasn’t in best of his health to do so himself. He further added that however, he turned down the request as in his views no one other than Rajinikanth could have done this role better.

“I told Shankar that I will not be able to do it, and only Rajini sir could do this film. I have already seen the first part and I have loved it. I am a huge fan of Rajini sir, and because of the impression that I got from that film, I couldn’t imagine myself or anyone else in the lead role apart from Rajini sir for 2.0. So I didn’t do it. It wasn’t a tough decision for me because I know that it is going to be a super hit in all languages,” he revealed.

Well, we are still trying to wrap our heads around this piece of information, Aamir as Chitti? 2.0 is all set to hit the screens in January 2018 and is a sequel to 2010 superhit film ‘Enthiran’.

SECRET SUPERSTAR narrates the story of an aspiring singer who faces roadblocks in fulfilling her dream. Insia [Zaira Wasim] is a school-going girl based in Vadodara. She has a lovely voice and dreams of being a top singer. Her mother Najma [Meher Vij] supports Insia’s dream, but her father Farookh [Raj Arjun] is thoroughly against the idea due to his conservative mindset. He tries everything – from force to destroying Insia’s guitar – to stop her from fulfilling her dreams. She, however, remains adamant.

Insia takes to the internet and posts videos of her singing. Wearing a burkha, she makes sure only her eyes are visible in order to keep her identity concealed. She’s taken by surprise when her videos go viral. Enter Shakti Kumar [Aamir Khan], a brash, lecherous but successful music composer. Insia gets a chance to meet Shakti. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Katrina Kaif not in a hurry to choose her upcoming projects

katrina Katrina Kaif’s upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai also starring Salman Khan is making noise for all the right reasons. Salman has started the verbal promotions for the film’s December release.

Post this film we will be seeing Katrina in Thugs of Hindostan with superstars like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh for which she has already started shooting. She also has Anand L Rai’s untitled film under her name which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.

So, Katrina’s all the upcoming projects are with the three khans of Bollywood. Now, these projects with the khans appear to be great for Katrina’s career. However, the buzz is that the actress is not in a hurry to choose her upcoming projects.

A source revealed to a leading website, “Katrina is currently busy shooting for her films and she has decided to do certain number of films with only establish actors. So she is taking her own time to decide on her next films”.

News was that Katrina was offered some films with the newcomer actors in the past but she chose to turn them down for reasons best known to her. It is also been reported that the actress is cautious while signing new projects as her latest films Jagga Jasoos, Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho failed miserably at the box office.

Rumours of Katrina featuring in Vikas Bahl’s next Super 30 with Hrithik Roshan were also doing rounds after her pictures with Vikas went viral on the internet. However, Katrina has denied signing any projects at present.

Word is he is obsessed with the project as he loves the genre of real-life action drama. ‘Parmanu’ is based on the nuclear bomb test explosions conducted at the Indian Army’s Pokhran range
