Even this year Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked like a million bucks at French Riveria marking her 17 years of style and magic at the event. The gorgeous actress, who sizzled on the red carpet has won Reader’s choice Best dressed of the Week and Critics choice Best Dressed of the week by RCFA at Cannes 2018.

Sanjay Dutt is said to be returning to production with the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Prasthanam (2010) after almost a decade. The actor seems to have forgotten that five years ago, he had produced a comic caper, Hasmukh Pighal Gaya, which never saw the light of day. The film, starring Dutt and Jackie Shroff, had Amitabh Bachchan crooning a number. Sejal Shah’s directorial venture was about an alcoholic on the road to sobriety. The project, though complete, lies stuck in the cans. Some things are better forgotten.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is all set to play the ruthless, merciless villain in Yash Raj Film’s period action-adventure Shamshera. He will be pitted against Ranbir Kapoor in the mega action spectacle. Interestingly, Shamshera will be Sanjay’s first ever film with YRF.

Bollywood’s trendsetter Kareena Kapoor Khan is likely to romance the young heartthrob Kartik Aaryan in a Karan Johar film. The duo had earlier walked the ramp for celebrated designer Manish Malhotra in Singapore. Their pair was loved by one and all, and the pictures and videos from the fashion event went viral on social media.

According to a press statement issued, it read that Kareena Kapoor and Kartik will share screen space in a 2-hero 2-heroine film. The film will be directed by newbie Raj Mehta. Mehta has earlier worked with Karan Johar and director Shashank Khaitan on a couple of Dharma ventures. The press release further read that the movie, which will be produced by Dharma Productions, will go on floors soon after the balance cast is decided. However, Kareena Kapoor is yet to sign on the dotted line but has consent in principle.

The film might either have Janhvi Kapoor or Kriti Sanon to play one of the other leads in the film. Sources say that the heroine could be either Janhvi Kapoor (who is also doing KJo’s Dhadak currently as her debut) or Kriti Sanon. A final decision in this regard is yet to be taken. Well, if this works out, Kartik Aaryan‘s dream of working with his crush Kareena Kapoor, will come true. He has time and again professed his desire to work with the Begum.

Vivaan Shah makes his television debut in the upcoming show, Mariam Khan — Reporting Live. We hear he gave his nod recently, and begins shooting this weekend. Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak’s son was seen in films like 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Happy New Year (2014) and Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana (2017). But his B-Town career never took off, though he is active on the theatre scene.

Vivaan, who recently features in the short film titled Maa, says he shares the most sacred relationship with his mother, veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah who is not only his best friend, but also his teacher for life. “I share the most sacred relationship with my mother. She is my best friend and teacher at the same time. I can have a conversation on anything with Maa and I have learnt some of the important lessons of my life from her,” Vivaan told an online news portal.

Talking about how excited he was to play a character that is far from his comfort zone, Vivaan Shah said: “The story is questioning on morality and it leaves the judgment on the audience. That is the beautiful part of the story. I think the beauty of a short story is its ambiguity.

“I play a guy named Rohan who is troubled and is a drug addict. I have never played any of such character even remotely, so it was emotionally very cathartic to play.”

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja tied the knot in a traditional Sikh ceremony. A week after the wedding, the couple find themselves mired in controversy for hurting religious sentiments. Reportedly, some former office-bearers of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) have accused SGPC staffers of not removing Anand’s kalgi (brooch) from his turban during the ceremony in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib, which is a violation of Sikh tenets. They have brought it to the notice of the Akal Takht and are demanding action against the SGPC members who officiated during the Anand Karaj ceremony.

While Sonam Kapoor is already back to work, the actress is at Cannes with husband Anand Ahuja, ready to unleash her fashion game at the style mecca. Sonam Kapoor and husband were spotted at the airport en route to Cannes. Sonam walked the 71st Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Monday and Tuesday to fulfil her commitment as a L’oreal Paris brand ambassador. Sonam Kapoor will be next seen in Veere Di Wedding and Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic, Sanju.

Salman at Race 3 trailer launch: Neither am I sensible, nor an actor, says star

Amidst much hullabaloo and celebration, the trailer of Race 3 finally got unveiled on Tuesday. A special screening for fans was organised by Salman Khan

After the much hyped wait and delay for one of the most anticipated films of 2018’s film- Race 3 trailer, it was funny unveiled on May 15, Tuesday, at a suburban multiplex.

With Salman Khan leading the ‘Race’ family, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah and Freddy Daruwala just followed in at the trailer launch.

Well, knowing it’s a Salman Khan film, the trailer ought to be larger than life, which matches the scale of the mega star’s aura.

While the interaction process with the media was on, a journalist tried asking a question to Salman Khan, and praised the star’s acting skills, he immediately cut her in and quipped, “Neither am I sensible, nor am I an actor.” After which, the crowd bursted into laughter.

Also, speaking about doing Race 3, and carrying the franchise forward, the 52-year-old was asked if he had absorbed any traits from the previous two installments or watched those films. To which, in his witty style, the stalwart said, “I haven’t seen Race 1and 2. However, I knew the format and wanted to change it.”

Adding more spunk to it and taking a jibe on the ‘family’ concept of the film, he continued, “Therefore, I have added the flavour of Hum Aapke Hain Koun!”

While Anil Kapoor is the only actor retained by the previous installments, producer Ramesh Taurani has roped in Bobby Deol on Salman Khan’s recommendation.

Talking about it, Bobby Deol said, “Salman was my angel, he caught me at the right time when I was focussing on myself. I’m happy to be here to see myself in 3d. Working with Ramesh ji just again. I’m happy to be a part of Race. I’ve never seen so many people before in front of me.”

Bobby Deol and Ramesh Taurani have earlier worked in the 2007 thriller film, Naqaab.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem will be seen packing some punches in this action bonanza.

Produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh Taurani, helmed by Removing D’souza, the Eid treat will be out on June 15, 2018.

Rajkummar Rao’s latest release, Hansal Mehta’s Omerta has certainly won him huge critical acclaim for his stupendous performance as terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh.

The versatile actor, who has been living out of his suitcase for the last two years shooting for several projects simultaneously, sometimes stretching his work hours to 20 hours a day, has worked a way to unwind. Doing so, Rajkummar has flown to the USA for a well-deserved break.

The actor is holidaying with rumoured girlfriend Patralekha in Los Angeles. He posted a picture of the two doing a romantic dance and captioned it as, “Roll sound.. Roll Camera.. Action .. Muskurane Ki Vajah tum Hoooo.. #LAdiaries @patralekhaa (sic).”

The last two years have proved quite successful for the actor, what with most of his films including Trapped, Behen Hogi Teri, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, and Newton have performed well at the box office.

Rajkummar Rao informs, “The last few months have been pretty hectic and I have been running from pillar to post fulfilling my commitments. This break has come at a perfect time for me. I’m quite excited.”

After making beautiful appearances at the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival, Bollywood divas- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor have returned to the Bay, after spelling their magic at the French Riviera. Along with these stunning beauties, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan also made a mark at the prestigious festival.

Mahira Khan made her Cannes debut this year and chose vibrant colours to represent her brand. The actress walked the red carpet for cosmetics giant L’Oreal Paris. To end her Cannes trip, the Raees actress wore a pastel saree with a ruffled border, black sleeveless blouse with diamonds cut on it. Hair tied in a fish-tail braid, she looked ethereal.

She captioned the picture as, “I don’t know how kids these days post so many pictures so quickly.. this is killin’ me! (in a good way, in a good way..) Thank you @menahelandmehreen @alieljewellers P.S this was from last evening.”

Earlier, she had worn a black off-shoulder dress after the ensemble she was due to wear got stuck at the customs and didn’t turn up in time. “I’m nervous,” she wrote before making her red carpet debut, but her confident demeanour was a head-turner at the gala, where she and Sonam walked one after another. Mahira dedicated her representation at Cannes as an “ode to the people I have loved so much…. and have inspired me since I was a little girl. Starting from my Ama to Minaal and Rooha… down to all my girls back home in Pakistan”.

The actress excitingly had taken to her Instagram account to make her Cannes announcement. Adding some humour to her post, she had written, “My name is Cannes and I’m not a (sic).”

Confirmed! Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn to do a film together

Director Luv Ranjan, who made the film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and is known for catching the pulse of younger audiences with films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama series and so on, is collaborating with actors Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor. The duo has earlier worked together in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti.

The makers of the film have given an official confirmation to Times of India about working in Luv Ranjan‘s next untitled. Talking about it to the publication, Ranbir Kapoor told, “I have immense respect for Ajay sir and I’m excited about sharing the screen with him again. His body of work is inspiring. Luv and I have wanted to work with each other for some time now. I am sure this film will be a perfect start to our association.”

Currently, based on the teaser of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, Ranbir is being hailed for his acting chops in the film. Apart from Sanju, the actor, who is trying to break the stereotype and walking out of his comfort zone, has been also signed for Yash Raj Film’s Shamshera. In a glimpse released by Shamshera, the Rockstar actor looks phenomenal.

Confirming the same, Ajay Devgn also told the publication, “Ranbir is an impeccable actor with a great ability to deliver nuanced performances. He is undeniably the most talented actor of his generation. I am looking forward to collaborating with him.”

Luv Ranjan is riding high on the success of his film Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety, which entered the 100-crore club.

Mid-day had earlier reported about the two coming together.

Madhuri Dixit turns a year older today. She’s currently busy promoting her first Marathi film, Bucket List, and simultaneously shooting for her two Bollywood films, Total Dhamaal and Kalank. She is also tied up with her maiden Marathi production, 15th August. It will be a working birthday for Mads even though her team is planning a surprise for the actor on her big day. We are sure hubby Sriram Nene and sons, Arin and Rayaan also have something lined up.

Spending over three decades in the industry hasn’t taken away from Madhuri Dixit-Nene‘s enthusiasm in trying her hand at something new. After 34 years of facing the arc lights, the actor is making her debut in Marathi cinema with Bucket List. “I received a few offers in my mother tongue earlier, but nothing excited me as much as Bucket List. I found my character extremely relatable,” says Dixit, who plays a housewife who gets a new lease of life after a heart transplant.

Last seen on the big screen in Gulaab Gang (2014), Dixit is now raring to go — she has launched her production house RNM Moving Pictures. Enjoying her role as producer, she says, “There are such good subjects in Marathi cinema. Also, there are stars in Marathi films but they aren’t as big as the ones in Hindi film industry. Content is always the star here.”
