After the much hyped wait and delay for one of the most anticipated films of 2018’s film- Race 3 trailer, it was funny unveiled on May 15, Tuesday, at a suburban multiplex.

With Salman Khan leading the ‘Race’ family, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Daisy Shah and Freddy Daruwala just followed in at the trailer launch.

Well, knowing it’s a Salman Khan film, the trailer ought to be larger than life, which matches the scale of the mega star’s aura.

While the interaction process with the media was on, a journalist tried asking a question to Salman Khan, and praised the star’s acting skills, he immediately cut her in and quipped, “Neither am I sensible, nor am I an actor.” After which, the crowd bursted into laughter.

Also, speaking about doing Race 3, and carrying the franchise forward, the 52-year-old was asked if he had absorbed any traits from the previous two installments or watched those films. To which, in his witty style, the stalwart said, “I haven’t seen Race 1and 2. However, I knew the format and wanted to change it.”

Adding more spunk to it and taking a jibe on the ‘family’ concept of the film, he continued, “Therefore, I have added the flavour of Hum Aapke Hain Koun!”

While Anil Kapoor is the only actor retained by the previous installments, producer Ramesh Taurani has roped in Bobby Deol on Salman Khan’s recommendation.

Talking about it, Bobby Deol said, “Salman was my angel, he caught me at the right time when I was focussing on myself. I’m happy to be here to see myself in 3d. Working with Ramesh ji just again. I’m happy to be a part of Race. I’ve never seen so many people before in front of me.”

Bobby Deol and Ramesh Taurani have earlier worked in the 2007 thriller film, Naqaab.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem will be seen packing some punches in this action bonanza.

Produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh Taurani, helmed by Removing D’souza, the Eid treat will be out on June 15, 2018.

Actor Saqib Saleem says the shooting of “Dil Juunglee” has helped him develop a close bond with the cast and crew.

He says his friendship with actress Taapsee Pannu is such that they used to hit each other after shooting a romantic scene.

“If you watch the making of our film, you will know how we were shooting. Taapsee and I would be shooting an intense romantic scene and as soon as the director used to say cut, we would start hitting each other.

“I think not just me, but we all have developed a good friendship with Taapsee… We were a young team and everyone was looking out for each other,” Saqib said here.

“Honestly, I didn’t even realise when we finished the film. Usually, while shooting, there comes a time when you think when will the shoot end and you will start your next movie. But here, we never wanted it to end, which is why we also moved the movie from February 16 to March 9,” he added, laughing.

The team also celebrated Holi on Thursday.

“Holi is a festival I really enjoy and it’s an occasion which brings people together. This celebration with ‘Dil Junnglee’ team is my most memorable Holi. Before this none of my films were released on (or around) Holi, which is why this Holi will always have special importance in my life,” Saqib said.

“Dil Juunglee” director Aleya Sen said the title talks about how you feel when in you are in love.

“Your heart will behave out of character and make you do crazy things. When you are in love, you are really wild.”

The director also said the characters in the movie are inspired by people who exist.

“All the characters we wrote for the movie are real people that we knew. I wrote the story with my sister, and these are actual people who we know and we knew.”

Produced by Pooja Entertainment, the film also features Nidhi Singh, Abhilash Thapliyal and Srishti Srivastava.

Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu starrer Dil Juunglee’s trailer has been released by its makers. While Taapsee sports a nerdy look in the first half of the trailer, there is a stark image makeover of her character in the second half of the trailer. Saqib plays a regular Delhi guy, whose English twang is rather interesting. The dialogues look quirky, while even the music seems catchy. All in all, Dil Juunglee looks like a fun roller coaster ride of the couple’s love story. The film also stars actors Nidhi Singh, Abhilash Thapliyal and Sristi Srivastava.

A Bandra birdie chirps about the curious case of casting Saqib Saleem for Race 3. Though there were several names tossed around, the actor was apparently selected thanks to sister Huma Qureshi’s proximity to the Khandaan.

Father’s Day may have just gone by; but, one look at this video of Saqib Saleem and your hearts will melt enough to want to give your Dad a hug, or a call. Saleem’s latest short film, titled ‘Aamad’ sees the actor portray the role of a male Kathak dancer—in itself, a rarity in the industry. Forget his last film that hit theatres, ‘Dobaara’. This will be the most impressionable image he creates in the moment.

We have always seen female actresses doing classical dances on screen, but in current times one of the male lead actor who dared to portray a role as Kathak dancer is a rare thing to see. Well we are talking about the talented young actor Saqib Saleem who’s new short film titled ‘Aamad’ has just released on digital platform.   The film is produced released by Terribly Tiny Talkies and is directed by Neeraj Udhwani who has previously worked with Saqib as the writer of ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’. The short is about an emotional yet strained relationship between a father and his son. The film explores a story about a father who is a Kathak dancer and how his son is embarrassed of his father’s art because he is bullied by his friends as a young boy practising a classical art form tagged as being feminine. He moves on and distances himself from his father, growing upto becoming a corporate man himself. But due to unforeseen situation of his father being in a critical condition, he comes back and does that one final performance for the love of the art for his father.

The short film is a lesson in time and relationships. It’s better to be late than to never be at all. Go spend time with your father. Life is too short to keep things to yourself and to not say sorry.
