Earlier this year it was announced that Salman Khan and Karan Johar would collaborated together and produce a film which would star Akshay Kumar. Obviously, Bollywood buffs couldn’t contain their excitement.
However, it looks like that excitement was just short-lived. If rumors are to be believed, Salman Khan, who was supposed to co-produce the film has opted out of the project which was supposedly based on the ‘Battle Of Saragarhi.’
Apparently, the reason behind it is Salman’s alleged fallout with his manager Reshma Shetty, who is now Akshay Kumar’s manager and also the failure of his recent film ‘Tubelight’. And now Salman doesn’t want to do another war based film. Furthermore, some reports even claim that the film is shelved.
This is not the first-time reports of Salman backing out of this project have come up. Earlier, when Ajay Devgn announced a film based on the same subject, it was heard that given Salman’s equation with Ajay, the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ actor had opted out of the film.
However, at that time Salman took to his twitter and wrote, “Don’t follow rumors. follow me. ek baar jo maine commitment kar di toh phir……vry much doing film with @akshaykumar.”
Well, we are waiting for one more such tweet from the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ star to rubbish off this news.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan threatened to send a legal notice to AAP leader and poet Kumar Vishwas, accusing him of “copyright infringement” for unauthorised use of a poem penned by his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, in a video paying tribute to renowned Hindi poets. In the video, which was uploaded on Youtube and shared on social networking sites, Kumar can be heard reciting a poem written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan. When Bachchan was tagged by a fan in a tweet urging him to watch the video, he replied, “This is a copyright infringement. Legal will take care of this”.
The debate on nepotism doesn’t seem to end in the Indian film industry. From actors to singers to even crew members, many people claim to have been affected by this age old norm of putting family and friends first. While this phenomenon is not restricted to showbiz, stars are often being questioned to have a stand on the very same. So when Ranbir Kapoor was recently asked to share his views, instead of shying away, the actor embraced the fact that he is a “product of nepotism”. He further went on to share that films have been his family business from the last 85 years and if he has kids, he would like to provide them with a platform like his family did for him.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he always wanted to see dancer-actor Raghav Juyal perform live and adapt his moves.
