Is It OVER between Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan?

ranbir For a long time now, stories about Mahira Khan and Ranbir Kapoor dating each other have been making rounds. Their closeness grew when they were shooting together last year. Their regular public outings added fuel to the fire.

Later, when Mahira was being slammed in her home country Pakistan for smoking and wearing revealing clothes, RK stood in her defense and gave his piece of mind to the media and the people. He lending his support for Mahira then made the speculations even more stronger.

Even though none of the actors chose to speak about their relationship, their actions proved that there’s smoething brewing between the two. Their fans too were happy to see them together!

However, what Mahira recently said about love and she being in love or not, has shattered her fans’ dreams!

Recently, during a media interaction, the Pakistani actress was asked “if she is in love”, to this she replied, “No, actually.” She added, “No, I have been, I was. Now, I realise that love is peace. Love is when you are with somebody and it’s okay and you don’t have to talk. Their presence is important.”

Diljit Dosanjh, whose Hindi film “Soorma” will lock horns at the box office with Dutt biopic, says he is looking forward to see the movie as he is a huge fan of both Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.

“Soorma” and Dutt biopic are scheduled to be released on June 29. “The film is based on my favourite superstar Sanjay Dutt sir and my favourite actor Ranbir is playing his role and it is directed by my favourite director (Rajkumar Hirani). “All my favourite people are in a one film so I am very excited to see it. I will definitely go and watch the film,” Diljit told PTI.

When asked about the clash, the 34-year-old star said, “I don’t know if it is clashing or not. The producers are ideally the best people to talk about it. They are the owners they will talk about it.” Diljit, who will be seen as former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh in “Soorma”, said it was a difficult film to make.

“I have not played any games so far. I feel hockey is a tough game. I am very happy that in the second year of my acting career in Bollywood I got to do a biopic. We all have worked really hard.” “Soorma” tells the story of Singh, an Indian professional field hockey player and an ex-captain of the national team. He was grievously injured after he was hit in an accidental gunshot in a train in 2006 but he did not give up and continued playing.

The “Udta Punjab” actor says despite the doctors giving up and losing all hope, the hockey player bounced back. According to Diljit, the makers of “Soorma” have tried their best to present an authentic story of Singh on screen. The actor-singer was trained for almost two months by Singh, who used to be present on the sets most of the time. Talking about the film’s title, Diljit says, “‘Soorma’ means someone who does something that is impossible. It’s the perfect title.”

Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. On Friday, the makers of the film announced its release date. The film will now hit the 70 mm on June 29, 2018. Ranbir Kapoor and the other characters in the film are seen to do equal justice with each of their respective characters. However, apart from the cast and Ranbir’s look, not an iota of the film has been revealed, not even its title. Though there are various speculations like ‘Sanju’, ‘Dutt’ and many other names floating around.

Actress Manisha Koirala, who essays the character of Sanjay Dutt’s late mother Nargis Dutt, has released her look from the film. The 90s actress is a spitting image of Nargis Dutt’s younger version. The photos of the 47-year-old actress posing with the director, Ranbir and other crew from Cape Town are going viral on social media.

Talking about her looks in the movie, Manisha had earlier said, “We did a couple of tests, from when she had short hair to when she had long hair. I think we have got the look somewhere closer to how Nargis Ji looked and I am quite kicked about it. Yes, I am excited about it.” Late actor Nargis Dutt’s daughter Priya Dutt even gifted Manisha ‘Mr and Mrs Dutt, Memories of Our Parents’, a book by Namrata Dutt Kumar and Priya to help her ace the role of her mother on screen.

Apart from Manisha, the film also features Dia Mirza essaying Sanjay’s wife, Maanayata Dutt’s character, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, Sanjay’s father, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal have some interesting roles to play in the Dutt biopic. This film proves to be very vital for Ranbir’s career.

Busy with Brahmastra and Gully Boy, Alia Bhatt defers Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2

Alia Bhatt, who is busy filming for Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra and Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy, might delay Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2

Alia Bhatt has been roped in for the sequel of father Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 directorial venture, Sadak. While the film was expected to hit screens in August, it looks unlikely, thanks to Alia’s packed schedule. The actor, who recently wrapped up Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, reportedly left for Israel with Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji, her Brahmastra co-star and director respectively.

The superhero film will be shot in three parts. After wrapping up the project’s first schedule, Alia will start shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh. A source tells mid-day that Sadak 2, which pairs Alia with rumoured beau Sidharth Malhotra, has suffered because of her other projects. “Alia is juggling Brahmastra and Gully Boy. While the former releases in 2019, the latter is scheduled to hit screens later this year. Alia will also be busy promoting Raazi for a couple of months, as it releases in May. So, Sadak 2 has been postponed. It will roll by the end of 2018.”

The sequel will take off from Sadak lead actor, Sanjay Dutt’s character taking a leap of 26 years. When mid-day reached out to Alia, she refused to comment on the project. “Whenever I’ll work in my father’s production, the news will be out there for everyone to know. As of now, I can’t reveal anything.”

As per reports, the first installment of ‘Brahmastra’ will be shot in Israel. The filming of the movie will commence in February 2018. The movie is Mukerji’s third with Dharma Productions – after ‘Wake Up Sid,’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, both of which starred Ranbir Kapoor. The movie, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, all set to hit the theatres on August 15, 2019.

The case with ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif is no different. The two bumped into each other at Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma’s Mumbai reception, which was attended by the who’s who from the world of Bollywood and sports. While Katrina walked in with her gorgeous sister Isabelle and Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar; Ranbir came along with his good friend and Brahmastra director Ayan Mukhejee. He was also joined by Anant Ambani and Neeta Ambani.

While there was no encounter while posing for the shutterbugs parked right at the entrance to the hotel, it was inside at the main reception area where the two came face-to-face, well almost. India.com source privy to what happened next exclusively revealed how the two exes avoided each other like pros. “The two came into the reception one after the other. However, they were surrounded by their own coterie. Karan Johar, who had come in earlier with Sidharth Malhotra caught Katrina’s attention and she didn’t spare a minute before heading their way and meeting them. Just while they were exchanging pleasantries, with Isabelle and Ali in tow, talking about how phenomenally well Tiger Zinda Hai is doing, RK walked into them,” said the source piquing our interest.

The source further revealed that once Karan and Ranbir noticed each other, they couldn’t go without the customary meet and greet. But Katrina was present right there. You’d think it must have been awkward. But, the source shared that, “As if on cue, Ayan came to the rescue and whisked Ranbir away to avoid the situation from getting awkward.” That was some quick thinking, must say! This Ranbir – Katrina encounter is best avoided. After all, they aren’t an ex-couple ala Ranbir – Deepika Padukone or Salman Khan – Katrina.

The year 2017 for Bollywood has been all about star kids. The celebrities offsprings attracted more limelight and attention on social media and by their fans. Be it Shah Rukh Khan‘s son AbRam Khan, Shahid Kapoor’s Misha, Rani Mukerji’s Adira, Kunal Kemmu’s Inaaya- these celebrities in their own way have dominated the social media. However, one munchkin that has adapted easily to the paparazzi culture and responds the shutterbugs in his own unique style is Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s child- Taimur Ali Khan.

Like an every year norm, the Kapoors celebrated Christmas with a brunch at the Late Shashi Kapoor’s Juhu residence. A ritual started by Shashi Kapoor’s wife Jennifer Kendal more than three decades back. When she passed away in 1984, Shashi continued hosting it at his residence to unite the entire Kapoor family under one roof for one day in the year. Talking to mid-day, Randhir Kapoor shared that they are going to continue with this tradition and remember fond memories of his uncle, Shashi Kapoor.

Carrying the legacy forward, the late veteran actor’s son Kunal and Karan hosted the brunch. This noon gave us some of the beautiful clicks of the entire Kapoor family. We saw Taimur taking small baby steps with mother Kareena and father Saif beside him. The inside pictures from the brunch clearly state that Taimur was the man of the party and stole the show from everyone. The little lad was at his jovial best as he played with his uncles Ranbir Kapoor, Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain.

The Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, who usually shies away from social media, did something very unusually delightful for his fans. The actor, through one of his Twitter fan clubs, interacted with his fans with the hashtag- Chat With Ranbir. The question-answer session with the Tweeple scooped out some of the unknown interesting facts about the ‘Barfi’ actor.

When asked the talented star about the last Bollywood film that made him cry, he gave a very humorous reply. “Post Jagga Jasoos release,” this is what Ranbir said. Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos‘ with Katrina Kaif, turned out to be a debacle at the Box Office.

He was also interrogated about his ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-actress Anushka Sharma’s secret wedding with Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli. “Hey Ranbir, Anushka’s wedding is incomplete without you singing Channa mereya. Just saying (sic).’ To which, Ranbir said, “I felt sad because I had no idea about it but I felt happy because I’ve never seen her so happy and beautiful”. Ranbir even spoke about the first film that was offered to him and you’ll be amazed to know, it was with her cousin Karima Kapoor- ‘Fiza’ (2000). The interesting thing he revealed was that he trolls his friend Aditya Roy Kapur the most.

Concluding the chat session with his fans, Ranbir, posted an image of his with a Christmas tree and wished everyone a blissful New Year and season’s greetings. “This was beautiful. Thank you. Everybody. I’m going to do this more often. I promise. Have a Merry Christmas. And a happy happy new year. I love you. See U at the movies (sic).”
