kanganaranaut-hrithikroshan7591Rangoli Chandel has slammed Hrithik Roshan after his statement that he was not involved with Kangana Ranaut in any way.

Kangana Ranaut may or not respond to every single news report about her, but her sister Rangoli sure does. After calling Hrithik Roshan a “stalker uncle”, Rangoli has slammed the actor after he finally broke his silence.

Hrithik had written in his statement, “I have surrendered all my devices including laptop/phones etc which are still lying with the cyber cell, but the other party has refused to do so.” Rangoli shared an e-mail allegedly written by him to Kangana, which has “sent from my iPad” at the bottom. She wrote, “Hrithik gave his laptop for private forensic investigation which he paid for not his I pad… any guesses why ?? (sic)”

Hrithik also wondered how a relationship between two high-profile celebrities could be kept so hush-hush. “No evidence, no paparazzi pictures, no witnesses, not even a memento in possession like a selfie taken at the alleged engagement,” he wrote, adding, “The only so-called proof presented of this alleged ‘relationship’ was a photographed picture in the media. This was immediately exposed, the very next day by friends including my ex-wife.”

Sharing the picture in question, Rangoli asked him to prove that the picture was photoshopped. She further asked, “Is dat not u, who has grabbed Kangana’s waist like a creep and smelling her neck, who seems disinterested?”

Hrithik’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan had come to his defence when the picture was first leaked and shared another picture, which showed that she was also present at the same party. To this, Rangoli said, “So what if ur ex wife ws dere, I don’t knw bt we all read rumours about hr affair with your friend. (sic)”

Rangoli went on to add, “Could your wife stop you from having multiple affairs under her nose? Why you always hide behind her?”

Meanwhile, Kangana’s lawyer also responded to Hrithik’s clarification and said that the reason Kangana had no pictures of their relationship was because he did not let her take any. Being a married man, Hrithik supposedly wanted to maintain his spotless image.

hrithik-kanganaKangana Ranaut opened a can of worms when she supposedly referred to Hrithik Roshan as a silly ex in an interview. That was January 2016. Almost two years and a legal battle later, their spat continues to make headlines. While Kangana has been very vocal about her side of the story, Hrithik chose to kept mum. However, he has finally broken his silence because the situation has turned “malignant” for him.

Calling the media reports about their spat a “circus”, he wrote in a statement on Twitter, “I don’t see any grace in adding to this circus by testifying in defence of my character in a situation that I have no involvement in whatsoever.”

— Hrithik Roshan (@iHrithik) October 5, 2017

Clearing the air about the “dirty perverse mess”, he wrote, “The truth is, I have never met the lady in question one on one in my entire life. Yes, we have worked together, but there has been no meeting in private. That’s the truth.”

Referring to Kangana’s “friend” who told the media that Hrithik had proposed to her in Paris, he said, “An alleged 7-year-long, passionate affair between two high profile celebrities with no trail left behind. No evidence, no paparazzi pictures, no witnesses, not even a memento in possession like a selfie taken at the alleged engagement which is claimed to have happened in Paris in Jan 2014. Nothing that constitutes an exchange or any sort of proof of a romantic relationship. Yet we want to believe the other party because the rhetoric is – Why would a girl lie.”

He further explained, “My passport details show no travel outside the country in Jan 2014 which is the date that this alleged engagement supposedly took place in Paris. The only so-called proof presented of this alleged “relationship” was a photographed picture in the media. This was immediately exposed, the very next day by friends including my ex-wife.”

Talking about the leaked e-mails that are doing the rounds that Kangana has claimed were sent by him from her account to his, Hrithik wrote, “There are 3000 one-sided mails which either I have sent to myself or the woman in question has sent to me. The Cyber Crime department can prove or disprove either story, in just a few days. I have surrendered all my devices including laptop/phones etc which are still lying with the cyber cell, but the other party has refused to do so.”

Their legal battle is believed to have stemmed from an affair turned sour. However, Hrithik would have us believe otherwise – “This is not, and I repeat not, a lovers’ spat. I humbly request people to stop labelling it as one… I have been harassed by this for four years… I am not here to accuse or judge anyone but it’s time I defend the truth.”

kangana-ranaut-140917Kangana Ranaut is a lady who doesn’t mince her words. Though actors and actresses are told not to talk about certain topics, she speaks her heart out. And once again she has done just that! While taking a dig at the top stars, she suggests that the practice of avoiding to comment on pinching issues is wrong. In fact, she says that this practice of going into your shell and not expressing your views is irritating. So much so that she is even ready to leave Bollywood, as she has no respect left for it. Shocked?

Well, during an interview with Bombay Times, Kangana revealed how she is not someone who can just stick to the business. She feels is an individual personality and she would like to express her views. This might not go down well with the other people in the industry, but then again, the Queen actress does not care. As she revealed to the daily, “It’s not even relevant to them either. I am an actor, I’ll get a job regardless. So anyone who thinks that a profession is above one’s character and dignity is just an idiot who doesn’t know how to live life. Life is not about tricks and techniques. Life is about finding yourself, and finding peace with that. The thing is, see, what is the definition of success? I want to ask a successful person. If you are crawled in your little hell hole, and you do not have a voice, you’re shit scared of losing whatever little you have earned in life, you are the most unsuccessful person in life. I want to tell these people that I’ve made this conscious decision that I set out to just discover myself and be like. You know, I don’t subscribe to this, first papa’s ghar and then husband’s ghar and then that’s just the cycle of my life. I just wanted to be an independent girl. But now at this point, at 30, I have earned a lot more than that. And it’s a conscious decision you make ki yaar, I had just come ki mujhe thoda kaam mil jaye, bahut hai mere liye. And today I am one of the most successful actors, I am among the highest paid, I have won so many awards, I’ve even set records. Toh ab mujhe kis cheez ka darr hai?”

aking a dig at how stars avoid commenting on certain issues going on in the country, Kangana added, “Being actors, if it is about our gender, about religion, about the debate of India’s struggles, the army fighting at the border why, for all this, do you show your back and why do you crawl into your little holes, why? If you can’t speak, beyond being an actor, beyond being a professional, you are a citizen of the nation, first and foremost. How dare this industry forget that? Their lives are very limited. And that’s why , like I said, I am more than happy to let go of this industry . And why? Because I don’t have an iota of respect for it. And they can tell. And that’s why they don’t like me. And my genuine reason for not liking this industry is very personal. And I always say , if I stay , good for them, if I don’t, good for me (laughs)! This kind of freedom also comes from the fact that I’m ready to move into another phase of my life, which can comprise anything. I can turn an author or I can direct the kind of film I want once in a while or I can do organic farming -I ‘ve built a beautiful house in Manali. But the thing is, if a certain industry doesn’t have, you know, you don’t have any respect, or pride or even gratitude, why do you want to live like that?”

Singer Madonna says she is exploring the idea of doing a show that doesn’t travel the world, but stays in one place and is more intimate.

Back in 1990, Madonna set the template for modern pop concerts with her Blond Ambition world tour. From its hydraulic stage to Jean-Paul Gaultier’s iconic costumes, it raised the bar for stadium-sized spectacle.

Now, after seven world tours, the star says she is “exploring” a smaller-scale show in the future. “I’ve done so many shows and tours in stadiums and sports arenas that I feel like I have to reinvent that now too. I like doing intimate shows and being able to talk directly to the audience,” said the singer.

“This is something I’m exploring the idea of doing a show that doesn’t travel the world, but stays in one place and utilises not only humour and the music in a more intimate setting, but other people’s music, as well, and other entertainment,” she adds.

“A revolving door of amazing, gifted, unique talent — dancers, musicians, singers, comedians and me. I don’t know. I’m trying to come up with all those ideas now,” Madonna adds.

“ I am not a Man Hater” , speaking on her image of a feminist, Kangana Ranaut expressed that she feels sorry for the state of the society due to the inequality that persists and this is the reason why feminism finds its  way. She spoke that a person’s opinion has nothing to do with their

profession, and so as an individual she before an actress is a woman and citizen of the country with a freedom of expression.

In an another interesting panel discussion headed by Mini Mathur were joined by Madhu Mantena (Founder, Phantom Films), Ajay Chacko (Founder, Arré), Sameer Nair (Former CEO, Balaji Telefilms), Shrishti Behl (Vice President of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India & Producer, Rose Movies) and Actor Vivek Oberoi where Does size matter? (of the screen) was the focal point of getting the panel’s perspectives owning to their profiles. Each of the panelists regarded that the size of the screen is irrelevant as long as content is enabling enough room for personal themes to resonate be it through mobiles, television or big screen theaters.

A presentation “*Looking back as we look ahead” *by *Shivendra Singh Dungarpur (Founder, Film Heritage Foundation)* gave a wonderful insight on the heritage of Cinema and restoration of old Indian films. Shivendra shared intriguing images from his experiences of films being stripped for extraction of silver in Pathanwadi. Tragic fire at FTII that lost over 150 film negatives to how the Indian railways carried 1000s of unclaimed film prints were shared in an full excerpt.

The second panel discussion at the summit took a light on “changes in the economics of film making” setting Bahubali as the benchmark of achieving gross hits. Mukesh Bhatt expressed the drama of Bahubali as an ‘event experience’ similar to how he had witnessed the charisma of Mughal-E-Azam which was a success product of good cinematic vision. Sajid Khan believes that the actual big numbers only come in when the people who usually would not come to cinemas, make it to the cinemas like in case of Bahubali that was wide-spread like fire.

Towards the end of the summit, Varun Dhawan joined in a conversation with Mayank Shekhar on the ‘Future of Stardom’ where he shared the dilemmas he had while auditioning and the failures with no intentions of his father launching him before he made it. Fans bring stardom and Content has become the star of the films is what Varun iterated to embracing Stardom.

Concluding the event, Mayank Shekhar said, “Future of cinema as the theme of the summit has been very well tackled with top filmmakers, producers, actors and distributors in each of its segment, we definitely look forward to the next year’s installment.”

Jagran Film Festival will be held in Mumbai between 18-24th September’17.

Box Office: TBA

Simran_PosterShe makes robbing banks look like child’s play and is reckless at a casino, but Kangana Ranaut manages to inject a degree of adorability in Praful Patel, the flawed protagonist in her latest film, Simran. But our adoration would have exponentially increased if there was more consistency in Patel’s checkered personality.

Simran is the tale of a 30-year-old Gujarati woman, a divorcee who lives with her conservative parents in the state of Georgia, going rogue.

Patel, who leads a pretty uneventful life as housekeeper in a fancy hotel, turns into an amateur criminal. The transformation is swift and uneven and therefore, unbelievable. One day she’s looking at buying herself an apartment and is hoping that her home loan would come through and the next she’s swatting off bestial loan sharks who snort cocaine and pummel debtors to the ground.

But Ranaut tries to inject a Bridget Jones appeal (Hollywood romcom’s always-relatable Londoner) into her misadventures. The problem is that dating a wrong guy or not able to shed off those extra kilos aren’t as grave a problem as looting a bank to settle debts gathered after a stupid night of gambling.

Kangna RanautKangna Ranaut

On Sunday, the unstoppable Kangana Ranaut attended the press conference of her upcoming film ‘Simran’ and as usual spoke her mind and heart fearlessly.

The National award-winning actress tasted horrible failure with her last release ‘Rangoon,’ which also featured Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor.

Finally, sinking into it, she shared the experience saying, “Rangoon’s failure was a tragic one, there’s no hiding to it that I was drastically affected by it. I started to expect a lot with that film, but, later I got a much-needed reality check. I thought that when I escaped from my house, I thought of achieving a goal, and I have achieved more than that. Then, I started to realise that my expectations from my own self is rising higher, which is wrong. In that case, I’ll start turning greedy. So, somewhere, the failure gave me a sense of freedom. Now, I have a beautiful house of my own in Manali, which I’d never thought about.”

Further talking about her films not doing well, she stated, “If tomorrow, my films don’t work well, I’ll go to Manali. I’ve received three National Awards. I’m considered the leading face of the Hindi film industry. All this is a lot for me. When failure hit me, I thought it’s the end, nothing worse than this can ever happen to me, because people look down on you. However, it teaches you to be strong and gives you the much-needed push, and also makes you realise that nobody can pull you down than this because you’ve already tested the worst. So, it’s a kind of a relief to me.”

“For a girl like me, who was nothing and now, has achieved everything, I think nothing is impossible for me, I can achieve everything in this world. I’m not insecure in any way. I’m content with what I have,” signs off Ms Ranaut.

Her film ‘Simran’ will hit the screens on September 15.
