Kangana Ranaut makes a shocking new revelation about her legal battle with Hrithik RoshanKangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan

Her over a decade-long journey in Bollywood has seen many a triumph, including her three National awards, and Kangana Ranaut says if her career ends now, she has nothing to lose as she has a huge success story for the rest of her life.

Kangana, who made her film debut in 2006 with “Gangster”, says during her journey in the film industry, she has been able to discover herself and conquer her fears.

In an interview to PTI, Kangana says, “I have acted upon my fears when I was struggling and trying to discover myself, who I am. But now I feel extremely satisfied with my discovery about myself, my inherent nature, about who I am as a woman and what my tendencies and capabilities are. I left home with none of the knowledge when I was 15 but at the age of 30 I know a lot about me.”

“And there is a sense of accomplishment, I am a three-time National Award winner, I have shattered box office records. Even if my journey ends here right now right, I have nothing to lose. I still have a huge success story in every which ways for the rest of my life.”

Kangana, 31, fails to understand why she should be fearful about anything in life as she is not scared of anyone.

On if she fears not getting work, the actor says she has already achieved more than what she had set out for.

“Why should I be fearful now? When I left home I wanted to be independent, now I am a megastar, I am a household name, I am a woman who knows herself which was the biggest challenge for me. If I am going to be fearful now, I am going to be fearful my entire life.”

Kangana is not worried about her career ending in Bollywood and says she has complete faith in her abilities and knows that she can try her hand in some other profession.

“What is it that this industry can give me? This industry can only take from me, it cannot give me anything. If my journey ends here, then too bad. If it continues, then good for them. I will do something else in some other field. I have a lot of faith in my abilities and I am not scared. I am not enamoured by this world and no one can pull my spirit down.”

Kangana seems to already have a plan in place post her career in Bollywood.

“I have built a beautiful house in Manali and I look forward to spending time there, write books and once in a while direct a film,” she quips.

The actor was embroiled in a controversy with Hrithik Roshan, after she called him her “silly ex” in an interview, followed by the two stars slapping legal notices on each other.

On if she expects a public apology or an admission of their affair from Hrithik, Kangana says, “I have said everything on this matter. This matter was over for me in
2014. It has ended… you can’t do anything about it. It was a fake case. There is nothing to expect from it.”

After her recent appearance on show “Aap Ki Adalat”, where she bared her soul about her relationship with Hrithik, the “Krrish 3” actor’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan came out in his support on social media.

On this, the “Queen” star says, “I don’t want to comment on it as it is none of my business.”

Kangana had also attacked Aditya Pancholi, an unnamed actor’s wife, filmmaker Karan Johar, writer Apurva Asrani, director Ketan Mehta and the Women’s Commission on the show.

Post the candid interview, she was hailed by several women on the social media for taking up on the biggies of the film industry.

“It is for them (women) that I speak. When Karan Johar or Hrithik Roshan say anything about me and when I am shooting, I don’t have time to react. I don’t react for months. And because I am working, I never abandon my character for my personal gains.”

“And whenever I get the time and I meet media, I talk. I am going to speak up for them who care, who write long open letters and write loving stories of faith and women empowerment. I speak for them.”

She insists she does not speak for those people who run her down or accuse her.

“For me they have lost the battle, for me they are losers. But those with undying spirit, who are thriving and surviving, have a collective consciousness, I speak for them.”

Kangana’s next film “Simran”, directed by Hansal Mehta, is set release on September 15.

kangana_malaikaSocial media queen Malaika Arora, who takes the Internet by storm with every picture of hers, recently attended Richfeel’s beauty product launch.

At the launch, after answering a series of beauty regime questions, the epitome of reverse age, Malaika was asked about the Kangana Ranaut feud, wherein she has slammed her alleged ex-Hrithik Roshan, and blatantly speaking about their alleged affair and Karan Johar.

To which, Malaika Arora said, “Why should I comment on something I’m not related. It doesn’t affect my life at all. I have no take at it. What someone else says doesn’t bother my life.”

It’s been a long ago, since Malaika was seen on the big screens shaking her leg and making the audience go berserk over her moves. She expressed her views about it too. “Even I’m feeling bad, that I got loads of opportunities, and I’m sad that I couldn’t do so many beautiful songs. But I have many opportunities. I’m happy with whatever I have done. I’m okay with whoever does whatever they want. I have no qualms about anything. These girls (Bollywood actresses) are doing really well.

Kangana Ranaut in the videoKangana Ranaut in the video

Kangana Ranaut and Tanmay Bhat are possibly two of the most politically incorrect people around. When the duo gets together to battle sexism, one can be assured that it will be an unfiltered and unadulterated account. The two recently teamed up for a promotional video for Ranaut’s upcoming film, Simran.

Sources from the set reveal that it’s an uproarious original song, based on a hit ditty, which sees the actor take on sexism in Bollywood. Directed by Bhat, the video stars comedian Varun Thakur.

One to champion gender equality, Kangana Ranaut was glad to collaborate with AIB on the subject.

Bhat said, “Kangana is a natural at comedy. The best comic actors are always those who are able to take a script and elevate it.”

When asked whether their act will ruffle feathers, he asserted, “Offense is taken, never given. So who gets offended how and when shouldn’t concern the artistes.”

Ranaut remained unavailable for comment.

Sona Mohapatra and Kangana RanautSona Mohapatra and Kangana Ranaut

Playback singer Sona Mohapatra, who rose to fame with the song ‘Ambarsariya’ is renowned for her outspoken nature on social media platforms for raising their opinion on the heated debates of Bollywood.

Recently, Kangana Ranaut appeared on the popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ and without mincing any words, she, once again, spoke unabashedly about her alleged affair with Hrithik Roshan.

Post which, there were discussions happening on the social media about this stint of Kangana as a publicity stunt for her upcoming film ‘Simran,’ which is due to release. On the other hand there were people who sympathised with her and spoke harsh words against Hrithik Roshan, which was a never-ending debate.

Talking about which, Sona Mohapatra took the Facebook route to express her opinion and requested Kangana not to wash the dirty linen of her affair with Hrithik in public and make it a circus, rather let her deeds speak louder.

The singer wrote: “Dear Kangana, I have always cheered loudly, in private & in public for you. Long, long before you turned queen et all but your current run across the airwaves regurgitating personal details of your love life over & over again, washing dirty linen in public & more so as part of a professional PR campaign before your film release is in bad taste. No two ways about it. Also, it does a big dis-service to the cause of feminism & fair play. Wish you well & wish you would rise above this muck & make your point through actions & your work. Your success doesn’t need this tabloid trail. Your well thought out & superbly worded open letters of the past, fearless interviews addressing larger issues, taking a stand, taking legal recourse are welcome. The current ‘circus’, not.”

The post further read: This is just another opinion in the public domain from one working woman to another, from the heart & on an impulse. There is no PR machinery or team guiding me here. I do believe that there are plenty of feminists in the opposite gender. Men who cheer the cause of outspoken, feisty, fierce & hard working women like you & me. We don’t ‘need’ them as such but let’s not forget them & also the thousands of amazing women who fight the good fight on a daily basis with dignity.”

“Life might not have been easy but you are in a great place now. More so to influence positive change. That is worthy of a daily celebration. Also, today is Onam, a thanksgiving festival in the South. The mythology surrounding the festival is significant – it emphasizes the Hindu belief in the cyclical nature of events, that no individual, no ruler and nothing lasts forever, except the virtues and self-understanding that overcomes all sorrow. So, Happy Onam. Big love & healing to you. (P.S To the so called ‘journos’ hankering after this masala & asking those thaka hua questions. (sic),” concluded Sona.

However, this is not for the maiden time that Sona has been vocal about an issue.

Earlier, Sona had grabbed headlines for taking a jibe at Salman Khan and in the recent past, she put forward her disagreement on actors turning towards the mic.

After a long hiatus, Saif Ali Khan will finally be seen shining on the silver screen.  His ‘chef’ avatar was loved by everyone back in ‘Salaam Namaste’, remember? The Pataudi royal is ready to impress the audience with the official remake of ‘Chef’. He’s of course, playing the titular role. The movie tells the story of a fancy chef who is desperately trying to strike a balance between his professional and personal life.

Saif is essaying the role of Roshan Kalra , a celebrity chef whose professional commitments have taken a toll on his personal life. Padmapriya is playing the role of his wife, Radha, who is constantly asking him to spend time with his son. The trailer shows the fun food trail that the father-son duo take in order to spend more time with each other.

Eventually he quits his job and opens his own food truck to be closer to home, and above all, to be there for his son.

The movie was initially scheduled to be released in July but has been shifted to be released on October 6th. Saif was last seen in ‘Rangoon’ opposite Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. The original ‘Chef’ has John Favreau play the lead role and the movie is in fact also written by him. The movie was a hit and struck a chord with the audience. Saif definitely looks promising as a confused father.

The trailer of Hansal Mehta’s ‘Simran’, starring Kangana Ranaut, is out. And it looks like she is back and how! One glimpse at the clip and you can’t help but fall for Kangana’s amazing acting once again.

It goes without saying that Kangana is one of the finest actors in B-town and there is no one who can portray a character as well as she does. She is indeed the queen of Bollywood and this trailer is just a sneak peak of the incredible things that are in store for us.

In ‘Simran’, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ actress is back with a bang to take over the throne once again. She dons the character of a gambler and a kleptomaniac, who believes in living her life to the fullest. She is a divorcee but is out on a flirting spree. Yeah, we know her character already sounds mind-blowing but this is just the beginning.

Believe it or not, she says that flirting with a man ain’t a flaw but it’s an art. We totally agree on that bit, after all, not everyone can do it.

In ‘Simran’, Praful aka Kangana’s life is very relatable to many of us. In the first part of the trailer you see her expressing what freedom means to her, while the latter part introduces us to another part of her life where she is seen robbing and gambling.

Despite everything, you see her smiling that makes you a lot interested in Praful’s life. After all, you want to know what she is hiding behind that beautiful smile of hers.

Well, we definitely want to know all about Praful’s life but we’ve got to wait till the release. But we are sure just by watching the trailer that it will be worth a watch.

Kangna RanautKangna Ranaut

Months after she got into a war of words with Apurva Asrani for his unwillingness to share the writing credit for Simran with her, Kangana Ranaut, it seems, has now irked the marketing department of the Hansal Mehta-directed project. After the team was unhappy with the film’s first trailer, the actor, we hear, has decided to take matters into her hands.

A source tells mid-day that Ranaut is in discussion with Mehta to zero in on how the trailer should eventually turn out, and the marketing team is apprehensive about her methods, since it may delay the promotional strategy. Given that the last commercial success she enjoyed was the 2015 comedy-drama, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Ranaut has her hopes pinned on this outing, which, she believes, will put her back on the map. Hence, she is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a promising one, and may even sit at the editing table, calling the shots on how it will play out.

Mehta, is happy to give the actor a free hand since he finds her inputs crucial. It is believed that he is of the opinion that had Vishal Bhardwaj paid heed to Ranaut’s recommendations, crisper editing could have made Rangoon a better film.

Shahid KapoorShahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor has not signed any movie after ‘Padmavati’, which is currently being filmed, and the actor says he isn’t worried about not being seen onscreen.

“I have not signed anything after ‘Padmavati’ and it isn’t a thing to worry about. You should only worry when you are not doing a good film,” Shahid told PTI. “It’s ok to wait and do good movies. I want to be associated with films that have good content and are
entertaining at the same time,” he says.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmavati’ also features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. “I am not supposed to talk much about the film. All I can say is it’s an amazing cast and it is going to be a spectacular visual experience. I am having an amazing time on it. Wait for it, it’s coming in November.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali seems to be impressed with Shahid and apparently he has cast him in his next ‘Tuesdays and Fridays’, a light-
hearted romantic comedy. “I read about it. But I haven’t signed anything after ‘Padmavati’. So wait for an (official) announcement.”

Shahid’s last film was Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ that did not do well at the box office. The actor says he is disheartened with the response to the film but at the same time is hopeful to bounce back with his frequent collaborator Bhardwaj. “When a film doesn’t do the kind of business or get the appreciation it should get, it’s heartbreaking. I was fortunate that people liked me in ‘Rangoon’… Regardless of anything people have liked my work in his films”. “I was happy I got recognised. But I am sure when we work
together again we will do something great,” he says.

Set against the backdrop of World War II, the film also starred Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan in the lead.

Bollywood, an industry that has taken India to an entirely new level and has given us moments to be proud of, seems to have come to a standstill with lack of novelty, almost 100 years later since its origin. Gone are the days when actors were known to be artists, their aura served as a light to many and their art was not only a source of entertainment but an inspiration to many. It was many decades ago when no ‘Kapoors’, ‘Khans’ or ‘Bhatts’ used to rule Bollywood, the fact that performance and stardom used to walk hand-in-hand is no more completely valid these days. While ‘Kapoors’ are known to be the flag bearers of nepotism, almost every second actor in the Indian film industry is the flag bearer of families which have produced some of the greatest actors, ironical is the fact that these flag bearers are not born actors.

The Impact Of Nepotism On Bollywood Is Larger Than What We See© Twitter

We saw the seeds of nepotism easily sprouting in Bollywood. Actors with pure talent are sidelined due to first priorities given to recommendations. And the worst part is, if an outsider tries to raise his voice, he is slammed, cursed and denoted a wannabe seeking attention.

Let us talk about a recent example which sparked the nepotism debate on a bigger level. When actress Kangana Ranaut with her ‘Rangoon’ co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor appeared in an episode of ‘Koffee with Karan’, she didn’t shy away in tagging Karan Johar as the flag bearer of Nepotism. In no time this divided Bollywood in two groups, the feminists and the ones supporting Johar. Much has been said and done till date and this issue has become a wider phenomenon.

However, Kangana is one of the few people to have given an opinion. The idea of nepotism is wider than we believe it. So why did, in the first place, Karan Johar choose to launch Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan through ‘Student of the Year’ despite of the fact that their (Alia and Varun) fathers have remained well known directors-producers in their times? Was there a dearth of good struggling actors, who could have deserved the stardom? And now there are speculations about who would bag the lead role in ‘Student of the Year’ sequel, let us tell you that Jahnavi Kapoor (Sridevi’s daughter) and Sara Ali Khan (Saif Ali Khan’s daughter) are already in discussions for the role.

The Impact Of Nepotism On Bollywood Is Larger Than What We See© Facebook

No doubt Ranbir Kapoor is a good actor and has proved himself after giving a few flops, no doubt Alia Bhatt has nurtured herself to become a better actress, but what about those who after years of struggle bag just the side roles and are never considered amongst the royals? We are proud of the fact that we have people like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ayushmann Khurrana, Priyanka Chopra, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadda to name a few, whom we can refer to as actors with real acting capabilities.

Even after working under good banners and having spent years in Bollywood, some of them have just taken their privileges for granted. They have neither been able to speak up for themselves to the least, nor have they worked hard enough to keep up the names of their filmy ancestors. Becoming an artist who not only brings the glamour to you but also brings a change in society, is no more existential, ‘competition’ seems to be a dull word, particularly for those who have not even tasted the essential crisis which the word ‘struggle’ itself holds.

The Impact Of Nepotism On Bollywood Is Larger Than What We See© Facebook

If Bollywood is not about nepotism and favouritism, then why a major number of actors do not reach one level up, where the world starts noticing them. Why till date, we do not even have a good number of Bollywood stars with international recognition? Reason is as clear and bitter as ice – For years and years we get to see the same sparkling yet hollow faces who do not even know the number of opportunities they have snatched, just because they belong to a good old Bollywood clan. If we see the ratio, the percentage of outsiders in Bollywood, it would not even be fifty percent.

Boredom has already set in with no good scripts, less good actors and almost no experimentation. Look at Hollywood, Bollywood! And notice the gap if you can. Sooner or later, the Indian audience would wake up to let you know that they are no more interested to see the two and half hours of nonsense being presented to them in the name of big directors or actors. They would stop loving you for not being able to present your art which you were supposed to do, because now they have something called Netflix which would anytime replace a boring Karan Johar drama with an interesting original series.
