Amitabh Bachchan says he tries to keep himself free during Diwali to spend time with family. The actor was addressing guests on his game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, when he said: “I try to keep myself free during festivals so that I can celebrate them with my family, but sometimes, if I am out of India for shoots, I can’t be with them.” However, it is suggested that the Bachchan family will refrain from celebrations this year following the death of daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s father Krishnaraj Rai.

We all know that ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) is based on the United Kingdom game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ and is one of the oldest and most popular Indian Television game shows ever. But we’re just gonna go ahead and say the truth: the show doesn’t really owe its success in India to its concept. Sure, everyone likes to improve their general knowledge and if that can happen by watching an interesting TV show, then it’s a win-win situation. But the fact that the makers of KBC roped in the iconic Amitabh Bachchan as the host, right from its first season, is what made this show get the highest of TRPs.

Mallu who couldn’t stop crying on the show was comforted by Amitabh Bachchan as the legend wiped away his tears .When he revealed that he had been fasting since morning, Amitabh went ahead and helped him drink water. 2. When he recited a poem from his father’s collection

Have you ever seen Amitabh Bachchan feeling awkward and blushing? Probably not.

For a man, talking about a ladies blouse is not easy. And that too on national television. But BIG B can do it all…well, almost. He indulged in a humorous conversation with a female participant as they talked about the issues with her weight. Amitabh Bachchan had a unique birthday celebration on the sets of game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in 2013. The actor met a 100-year-old fan of his, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and the only thing she remembered is Amitabh. On meeting her favorite star, she was overjoyed and screamed his name aloud, and also later danced with the actor.

6. When he “met” Lallan Bhai

Big B had expressed his desire for the Season 7 finale to be a little hatke, ergo he decided to become a contestant himself!

Big B decided to play the character of an aam aadmi called Lallan Bhai as one of the lucky contestants. As Lallan, he also danced to his own hit numbers.

In short, the episode was one of the funniest ones we have ever watched and it was all Big B’s idea.

7. When he became a rapper along with Bachchan Junior

Amitabh Bachchan is perhaps the coolest father and grandfather. The 75-year-old can do anything and everything including rapping. One of the latest season’s episodes saw Abhishek Bachchan as the host, where the father-son duo entertained us all by rapping perfectly.

8. When he couldn’t control his tears on receiving a special birthday gift

On the occasion of his 75th birthday, the KBC team decided to make Big B’s big day special by compiling a video for him. The video showed some rare known facts of his life including some memorable childhood memories. Big B was so overwhelmed that he couldn’t control his emotions and burst into tears.

A small music session was also organized on the sets of KBC to give a heartfelt tribute to the superstar.

Alia Bhatt was recently left teary-eyed when she saw specially abled children performing on the National anthem. When the national anthem was playing, Alia Bhatt was also present on the stage besides Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan. Everyone present in the hall stood up when the National anthem started playing.

When Alia saw the specially abled child perform the National Anthem with the use of sign language, it filled her eyes with tears. The ‘Udta Punjab’ actress could not control her emotion and tears after seeing them perform and tears started flowing down her cheeks.

This event took place in Mumbai during a cleanliness drive carried out by a private channel and several Bollywood celebrities had taken part in it. Currently, Alia Bhatt is working for a number of films. She is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s superhero film ‘Dragon’ and Meghna Gulzar’s thriller, ‘Raazi’.

Shilpa Shetty lands in trouble, breaches contract of 'Super Dancer 2'

Shilpa Shetty appeared on Farah Khan’s Lip Sing Battle as a friendly gesture. Her contract for Super Dancer 2 with Sony TV bars her from featuring on any show, except her own. While Shetty initially didn’t realise she had breached the contract, we hear the actor, who danced to Amitabh Bachchan’s number on Farah’s show, has now amended her contract. As for Farah, she took to Twitter to share a snapshot of Shilpa in her Bachchan avatar.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is set to come out next year, but the anticipation for it has been constantly building up, especially considering the fact that this will mark the first time when Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan will be sharing screen space.

Since the two are known to be perfectionists, the scene is expected to be quite a highlight in this lavish film.”

The 2016 Indian courtroom drama social thriller film- Pink completed one glorious year on September 16th. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra, and Dhritiman Chatterjee.

Today the movie completed one year and to commemorate this day, Angad Bedi posted a few throwback pictures on his social media along with Mr Bachchan, the PINK girls- Taapsee, Kirti and Andrea and also with the director of the movie Shoojit Sircar. He revived memories from the sets of the film for their support and wished the director for his Birthday. Here is what he wrote:” memories..been a year to our most cherished film. A film which changed something in society. A film which gave us careers.”

Even after a year of having its ripple effects on not just the box office but also critically, ‘Pink’ continues to make waves. in the minds of the people.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan now has a Twitter family of 28 million.

Shah Rukh, 51, is an avid user of social media where he updates about his personal and professional life.

Among Bollywood’s leading Khans, Shah Rukh has the maximum followers on Twitter, but trails behind megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has 29.3 million followers.

Salman Khan has 25.6 million followers, Aamir Khan has 21.9 million followers and Akshay Kumar has 20.2 million followers on the social media platform.

Shah Rukh has not had a very successful year at the box office with “Raees” and “Jab Harry Met Sejal”. He is currently busy with filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s yet untitled movie, which features the actor as a dwarf.

One of the best known actors of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh is often referred to as ‘Baadshah’, ‘King of Bollywood’ or ‘King Khan’ by his fans and well-wishers.

But I would like to mention that Manji (Manmohan Desai) is always my guru… I followed his footstep all my career as a filmmaker.

“I have always made films for entertainment and I have worked with various actors. Yes, Govinda and I have created history in cinema… Govinda has been different, that’s it. Now I am making a film with my son.”

However, it is his affair with Katrina Kaif that is most talked about till date. Salman Khan saw Katrina in her debut dud film, Boom and decided to back her. She went under his care and Salman too, made sure that she was well-settled in Bollywood. Fans loved them together and Katrina used to hang out at Salman’s house a lot. Theirs was said to be a happy relationship. But problems started appearing after Katrina and Ranbir signed the film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani (2009). 7. Shahid Kapoor – Kareena Kapoor – Saif Ali Khan

Shahid Kapoor’s chocolate boy looks had won him a huge female fan following after his debut film Ishq Vishk released. He won himself many admirers and that is when Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor started dating. Kareena was already an established actor and their fans loved their chemistry in their film Fida. The two came together and started giving out many interviews together, appeared in Koffee With Karan and did not shy away from the media. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were together since their debut films, Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. While Om Shanti Om was a huge success, Saawariya tanked at the box office miserably. They both met through mutual friends and decided to go on a date. They hit it off instantly and were regularly seen at each other’s places and were very open about their relationship. They worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno and that is when the two officially started dating. Deepika even got the initials of his name, RK, tattooed on her neck. But, Ranbir was a womaniser and it is said that when he met Katrina Kaif on the sets of their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, he fell for her and it is when Ranbir cheated on Deepika. A Yash Raj birdie chirps to say that producer Aditya Chopra was apparently not impressed with the rushes of Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan, which was recently shot in Malta.

He is keen that certain portions of the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh-starrer be reshot. It is said that a set is being recreated at YRF for the reshoot. But then it’s just a rumour.
