SRK-Suhana-Dilip-Kumar-l Shah Rukh Khan recently visited Dilip Kumar to wish the legend good health. Wife Saira Banu took to Twitter to share photos from the evening. She wrote, “Sahab’s mooh-bola beta visited him. Sahab’s doing much better since return from the hospital.” King Khan was accompanied by daughter Suhana. He spent considerable time with the thespian and kissed him on his forehead while leaving. However, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saira Banu has said how SRK’s contemporaries, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are more accessible than him.

She says that Aamir Khan is always just a call away in case of an emergency or even a request from some member of the family to a meeting. “He goes out of his way to comply with such requests and is constantly in touch. So is family friend Salim Khan and his son Salman. They often drop by, on festivals and occasions like saab’s birthday. Shah Rukh was the one who was difficult to reach over the last two-three years. Aditya Chopra not impressed with 'Thugs Of Hindostan'?

A Yash Raj birdie chirps to say that producer Aditya Chopra was apparently not impressed with the rushes of Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan, which was recently shot in Malta.

He is keen that certain portions of the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh-starrer be reshot. It is said that a set is being recreated at YRF for the reshoot. But then it’s just a rumour.

The superstar replied to one of the tweets of Aamir Khan, where he had shared the trailer of his new film, Secret Superstar, and wrote, “This so much yaar. & as I mentioned ur trailer Secret Superstar is sooo endearing. Let me know when u can watch JHMS”

He voiced his corned over the issues and requested his fans and followers to donate whatever they can to help their own brothers and sisters.

While everyone is just busy talking about the people who are suffering, Aamir Khan has taken a step forward and donated 25 lakh to the Assam government, proving that he is indeed a responsible citizen.

We got to know about Aamir’s good dead when Chief Minister tweeted out thanking the actor and wrote, “Thank you @aamir_khan for contributing Rs 25 Lakh towards Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund through Aamir Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd.”

As per the statistics by the State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), approximately 5,000 people have been affected by this disaster in Jorhat and Lakhimpur district. And around 366 people are living in the relief camps.

Even in past many actors like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Shatrughan Sinha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others have volunteered towards the rehabilitation of the flood-affected victims.

For people who are still just thinking about how to help, let us tell you the floods have not just killed over 90 people but there are many who don’t even have a roof over their heads. Maybe this is reason to reach out to our people in whatever small way possible!

The socially-responsible Aamir Khan has posted a video on Twitter, urging people to support those affected in the Gujarat and Assam floods. The actor said, “Lots of lives have been lost and there has been a huge financial loss too. We are helpless in front of nature, but we can help those staying there. Please contribute to the CM’s relief fund. I am also going to contribute. Please support me.”

The video has the actor in the Thugs of Hindostan look with earrings and a nose stud. He also appears to have lost oodles of weight for his character.

Superstar Aamir Khan is one of those actors who often takes to social media and asks his fans and followers to help people in need whenever possible. This time, the actor has asked everyone to help the victims of Gujarat and Assam floods.

On Saturday Aamir took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt video urging people to do their bit and donate to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for both the states.

The ‘Dangal’ actor said to his followers, “A few areas of Assam and Gujarat have faced terrible floods. People staying there are suffering. There has been loss of lives and a lot of damage. We are helpless before nature… But we are not helpless in helping our brothers and sisters there. So, I appeal to all of you to help the people in Assam and Gujarat. Also donate in Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of both the states. I will also do this you also support me. Thank you. Jai Hind.”

As per the reports, 79 people in Assam and 79 in Gujarat have lost their lives during this natural calamity. Well, as Aamir said, let each of us try to do our bit and help our people in every little way we can.

Director Rajkumar Santoshi confirmed sequel to Andaz Apna Apna

Rajkumar-santoshi One sequel that has been waited patiently is that of Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1994 cult classic – ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. And recently the director confirmed that the sequel to this classic comedy is in offing, however it wouldn’t star Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, who played the central characters – Amar and Prem – in the film.

Talking about his plans for about taking this comedy franchise forward, Santoshi revealed to a daily, “I want to make a worthy successor. What other filmmakers do is en-cash on a successful film’s title, whether there is a story or not. I can’t cheat people with the title. The day I’m satisfied with the subject being the worthy successor, I will get on the floor with the movie.”

Regarding the casting, the director said, “It’s very difficult (to cast Salman and Aamir). For humour, you need innocence. That time, these actors had the innocence. Now, it will look forced. It looks cute if a 20-year-old is chasing a girl. A 45-50-year-old man chasing young girls looks vulgar.”

He further added that he might look at casting younger actors, “There is Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan… They are all promising actors and they have the knack for comedy. I will pick up good talent for the film.”

We can’t imagine ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel without these two Khans, can you?

Honoured to be a new Academy member, Class of 2017: Deepika Padukone

deepikapadukone Actress Deepika Padukone says she is honoured to be a part of the Academy of Motion Picture of Arts & Sciences for its “Class of 2017”.
“Honoured to be a new Academy member. Class of 2017,” Deepika tweeted on Wednesday.

Deepika made her debut in Hollywood with “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” earlier this year.

Last month, the Academy invited a record 744 members from 57 countries to its governing body, surpassing the 683 invitations issued in 2016.

Indian actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra were also mentioned in the list.

The Academy was under pressure to diversify its membership for several years, the criticism reaching a crescendo in 2015, when all 20 acting nominees were white, starting the #OscarsSoWhite controversy. The Academy is doing damage control since then.
