‘Bigg Boss’ is all set to return to our television screens with a bang and fans just can’t keep calm for their favourite reality show to air soon. The 11th season of the show will see Bollywood Sultan Salman Khan taking the reign and hosting the show like never before.

1. Gharwale and Padosi is Bigg Boss 11’s theme and there will not only be housemates but also neighbours in the BB house this year.

2. Salman Khan is said to play the role of a peacemaker among the neighbours, which totally means we will get to see more of him this time. Bhaijaan living much closer to the contestants is something we haven’t seen before.

3. In order to give us more masala and entertainment factor, we will see the common man and celebrities contesting against each other to survive in the house for over 100 days.

4. 90 cameras to keep a tab on every contestant’s move, because BB se bachna muskil hi nahi namumkin hai! Also to give viewers the complete experience.

5. Just like the previous houses, the contestants will have a full-fledged gym, a jacuzzi, a pool and a round shape dinner table. The BB house interiors are often colour co-ordinated and this time bedrooms are designed in colour contrast of black and red. Unlike most times, this time the restrooms are made inside the house.

6. From akhara to kalkothri, BB has everything in this newly planned house. And what’s terrifying is the fact that the jail (kalkothri) has literally nothing except three string cots.

7. We know you can’t wait to know about the confession chair. Giving it a quirky look, the chair is shaped like a car seat, where people will be confessing their dark secrets to BB.

8. The smokehouse area is situated next to the gym near the pool area because in BB’s house, a lot can happen over a smoke or inside the pool.

When Playboy founder Hugh Hefner passed away this week, the entire world mourned his demise. However, questions about the future of his multi-million Playboy Empire started floating on the internet. Cooper Hefner, who is Hugh’s son, will now take over the company’s day to day operations but one big question that has not been answered is the fate of the legendary Playboy Mansion.

In 1971, when Hugh’s career graph started going upwards, he purchased the iconic Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles where he relocated to permanently and lived until the time of his passing. (He even breathed his last inside that mansion, surrounded by family and friends.)

However, it is not known by many that in 2016, Hugh gave up his ownership rights when he sold the mansion to his neighbor, Daren Metropoulos.

Daren is a wealthy 33-year-old entrepreneur who had been living next to the mansion since 2009. During the summer of 2016, he purchased the Playboy Mansion for $100 million but with a condition; the contract signed between the two said that the transaction would not be completed till Hefner passes away and until then Hefner could still live there.

Now, you’ve got to be someone special to be able to purchase a mansion like this one and Daren is just that. He is the son of a private-equity investor and multi-millionaire C. Dean Metropoulos who has served as the owner of a number of firms like Chef Boyardee, Pabst, and Bumble Bee Tuna.

Daren has worked with his dad for years at Metropoulos & Co. as the co-CEO of the Pabst Brewing Company from 2010 to 2014. He is currently 33-years-old but at the age of 25, he had enough money to purchase the house next to the Playboy Mansion from Hugh Hefner for $18 million.

A lesser known fact is that both the houses were originally designed together and were once known as ‘Wolfskill Ranch’ (a single unit) by the architect Arthur R. Kelly. It was built in 1927 for the department store mogul Arthur Letts, Jr.

Metropoulos is now the owner of both properties and has already started with his plans for expansions. At the time of purchase in 2016, Metropoulos said in an interview that he felt, “’fortunate and privileged to own a one-of-a-kind piece of history and art.” He also revealed his plans for the two properties, “I look forward to eventually rejoining the two estates and enjoying this beautiful property as my private residence for years to come.”

If we look at Daren’s life so far, there’s no doubt that he would make an ‘ideal’ owner of the Playboy Mansion. He and his brother Evan have been portrayed as hard-partying rich kids or brilliantly instinctual budding tycoons.

It has 22 rooms including a wine cellar that includes a Prohibition-era secret door, a screening room, a game room, a zoo, pet cemetery, a tennis/basketball court, a waterfall and a swimming pool area that includes a grotto and sauna. The lavish grounds include a large pond, a citrus orchard, tree ferns and redwoods.

Vidya Balan meets with a car accident in Mumbai

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has reportedly met with a car accident in Bandra, Mumbai. According to reports, the ‘Tumhari Sulu’ actress was on her way to Bandra for a meeting when another car rammed into hers and damaged it severely. Vidya Balan reportedly escaped the mishap and did not sustain any injuries.

A source told DNA, “She is fine and has not sustained any injuries. It was a minor accident that led to car damage and thankfully no one is injured.”

On the work front, Vidya Balan is gearing up for her next film ‘Tumhari Sulu’ where she plays a night radio jockey.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced Padmavati’s release date as November 17, 2017 as soon as the shoot began last year. The historical will now release on December 1. The Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Tumhari Sulu‘ was to release on December 1, but was recently brought forward to November 24.

National Award winning actress Vidya Balan was recently named a member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). She said that she is looking forward to the new responsibility where cinema will reflect the society we are living in today.

“I am very happy to join the CBFC and I hope to fulfil my responsibilities as a member to the best of my abilities,” she told earlier. “I look forward to this new and exciting phase where our cinema will be allowed to reflect the sensibilities, realities and complexities of the society we are living in today,” she said.

Talking to Hindustan Times about her childhood memories associated with Durga Puja, the ‘Mardaani’ actress said, “For Bengalis, the five days of Durga Puja is probably Diwali, Holi and Eid combined. My earliest memories are from the time when I was three. At that point, Durga Puja was a very close-knit family affair. All the kids from my family had to perform on stage because it’s sort of a must for Bengalis. So, I also remember performing on stage and have seen it since three. I became a butterfly once, and also Lord Krishna besides participating in so many of dances based on Rabindranath Tagore’s plays and other works.”

Revealing further about how special the festival is for the entire Mukerji clan, the gorgeous beauty affirmed, “My parents met for the first time and fell in love during Durga Puja celebrations when a singer didn’t turn up and my mother filled in, so he flipped hearing her sing. So, I think the festival has a lot of memories – from my parents meeting for the first time to me remembering how actively my dad and mum were involved [in arrangements]. Even now, my mother is involved but my dad hasn’t been keeping well.”

Rani Mukerjibecame a mother to a beautiful daughter Adira with filmmaker Aditya Chopra on December 9, 2015. Ask the 39-year-old actress if daughter Adira will also get the same experiences as she had as a child, and she asserts, “I don’t know because it all was very unadulterated at that time. Now even the fact that we have attended Durga Puja is covered by the media. So, if I am doing a ritual at the puja, a camera constantly follows me. I don’t think Adira would experience things like that because if she goes to the pandal, she would get a lot of attention that we didn’t get as kids. When you are one of the many, your experiences are different.”

On the professional front, post embracing motherhood, Rani Mukerji is making a comeback on the silver screen with ‘Hichki’, which will be helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of her husband’s Yash Raj Films.

Over the last few years, news about Hugh Hefner’s ailing health was doing the rounds but yesterday, the iconic founder of Playboy succumbed to certain ‘natural causes’ as per the statement released by Playboy Enterprises:

“Hugh M. Hefner, the American icon who in 1953 introduced the world to Playboy magazine and built the company into one of the most recognisable American global brands in history, peacefully passed away today from natural causes at his home, The Playboy Mansion, surrounded by loved ones. He was 91 years old.”

Hefner was a self-made man who started his career as a regular copywriter and went on to become one of the most iconic figures in the modern world. He made huge contributions towards boosting the careers of some of the most famous names in popular culture.

So naturally, his demise triggered an outpouring of tributes all over the internet. Fans, celebrities and Playboy bunnies took to their social media accounts to pay their respects.
