TV actor Mishal Raheja, who plays a rock star, King Singh, in Kumkum Bhagya, turned his own stylist for the show. The Laagi Tujhse Lagan actor shopped for the outfits and accessories for the part. Raheja says, “When the role was narrated to me, I painted a picture in my head of how the character should look on screen. The makers were happy to let me choose my outfits. I picked up some blingy accessories and quirky boots.”

Kumkum Bhagya has been ruling viewers’ hearts and receiving an overwhelming response to its interesting plot and affable characters. Produced by Ekta Kapoor and featuring actors Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in lead roles, this popular primetime drama explores various facets of emotions, relationships and has been achieving roaring success on the ratings charts since its launch. Promising to change the dynamics between Abhi and Pragya in unimaginable ways, television heartthrob Mishal Raheja will be seen making his entry in the show to essay the role of King Singh.

After Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s name cropped up for allegedly spying on his wife, the actor has dismissed these as “random allegations”.

“Last evening, I was helping my daughter to prepare her school project Hydroelectric Power Generator and went to her school this morning for Project Exhibition. To my surprise, the media had questions about some random allegations on me. #Disgust,” Nawazuddin tweeted on Saturday morning.

The acclaimed award-winning actor has been accused of spying on his wife. His name cropped up after the Thane police’s Crime Branch nabbed 11 persons, mainly private detectives, who were involved in the Call Detail Records (CDR) scam.

According to statements by some of the accused, Siddiqui had allegedly acquired CDRs of his wife’s phone through an advocate by hiring a private sleuth to keep an eye on her contacts and whereabouts.

The police on Friday said Nawazuddin has not responded to police summons in this matter.

The latter, we hear, will play the prominent character of a Lieutenant Colonel in JP Dutta’s war drama. Set to join the unit for the Mumbai schedule today, Gupta says, “The film’s publicist, who also happens to be my publicist, spoke to me about this role a while ago. It’s an honour to be working with Dutta sir. His love for the country, and passion for cinema, is evident in his films.”

Gupta’s agent, she reveals, was of the opinion that she could play a character from the ’60s with ease, an essential given that the film is based during the Indian-Sino war of 1962.

Actor Carey Mulligan has expressed her unhappiness over lack of leading roles for female actors in the film industry, saying she is no longer interested in playing the girlfriend and wife parts. The 32-year-old actor said showbiz has always offered meatier and more important roles to their male counterparts, Contactmusic reported.

“I think for the most of female actors I know it’s just about going where the better writing is. Films have tended to provide a lot for men in terms of great leading roles and not so much for women…”I think essentially following great writing, trying to play real people and not play the girlfriend, the wife. I’ve done that a lot and it’s not fun and this is the opportunity to play a fully rounded, flawed, interesting person,” Mulligan said.

The “Drive” actor cited HBO’s “Big Little Lies” as an example of pro-women good writing. “I think it’s been led by the writing and the opportunities particularly for women. That’s certainly the case for me, I just want to play the most interesting, complicated real person and interesting complicated real people in film are really, really rare,” she said.

Ace filmmaker Shekhar Kapur turned model for his daughter Kaveri, who tried her hand at make-up by experimenting with eye glitter on him.

Kapur took to Twitter on Saturday to share a photograph of himself with eye glitter.

Aditya Pancholi reveals details about his legal notice against Kangana

kangana_aditya Kangana Ranaut recently made a startling revelation in a television interview stating, “Aditya Pancholi got an apartment for me but didn’t allow my friends to come there. It was a kind of house arrest. Then I went to meet his wife. His daughter is a year older than me. I was a minor”.

Narrating the incident, she revealed, “I remember going to his wife (Zarina Wahab) and meeting her, and I was like ‘Please save me! I’m younger than your daughter. I can’t tell my parents. She said to me that they were relieved that he was not at home otherwise he raised his hand on domestic helpsand others. She said it’s actually good for us if he is not around, so I can’t help you”.

Now, Aditya and his wife Zarina had sent a legal notice to Kangana. Aditya spoke about the same to a leading daily, “I am not angry, but I am definitely hurt by Kangana’s act”.

He revealed, “The legal team sent Kangana and her sister Rangoli notices, but their response wasn’t up to the mark. We asked them to apologise unconditionally on the same national platforms where Kangana made those derogatory remarks against me. Eventually, her sister and she dragged even my son, daughter and wife into all this. That’s the reason Zarina and I decided to file a defamation case against her, which is both civil and criminal”.

Asked if his complaint is related to Kangana’s controversy with Hrithik Roshan, he stated, “My case against Kangana has nothing to do with what is happening between Hrithik and her. Hrithik can deal with his own issues, but I’m clear that I will not keep quiet about whatever is bothering me. Cases are fought on merit and evidence. Remarks and statements will not come handy in the court of law,proofwill. The onus to prove her merit lies with her. Once the case is up for hearing, we’ll know”.

“Kangana has no right to talk about my family and me in such a manner. Why should I shut up? If I don’t fight for my family, who will? If someone makes remarks about my family, should I lock myself up in a room and sit tight? Someone has to put an end to her lies, and the only way to do it is through the law. I don’t want to stoop to her level”, concludes Aditya.
