Amitabh Bachchan’s wry sense of humour is often on display on social media. Big B also chides the younger lot of actors on the platform. Yesterday, he seems to have taken a dig at Varun Dhawan.

Big B wrote on Instastory, “Double glasses and ready for the gym. No, you will not follow me there… it is too embarrassing, follow Varun (sic).” Of late, the October actor has been flooding his social networking handles with workout videos and pictures. The actor has been chronicling his every move in the gym. Is this Big B’s way of telling him to calm down?

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s upcoming directorial Thugs Of Hindostan, in which he shares the screen with Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug and is set to be released during Diwali on 7 November 2018.

Varun Dhawan, who received plaudits from fans and critics for his performance in Shoojit Sircar’s October, is filming for Kalank. Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Varun shares the screen with Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Kemmu in the film.

Varun’s other upcoming release is Sui Dhaaga, in which he is collaborating with Anushka Sharma for the first time.

Karan Johar’s multi-starer production, ‘Kalank’, has kickstarted its shooting and actor Kunal Kemmu has also joined the ensemble cast. According to sources, “Abhishek feels Kunal is extremely promising and he has already shot a few scenes that the filmmaker has loved.”

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. Earlier, Karan Johar revealed the poster of the film. With several ruins and offset colours, the poster gave off major old-world vibes.

Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the epic period drama is going to be set in the 1940s, around the hard times faced by India and Pakistan. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie is slated to release on April 19, 2019.

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu were blessed with their first child, daughter Inaaya, on September 29. The ‘Golmaal Again’ actor had issued a statement to share the news with his fans. “We are over the moon thrilled and delighted to share that we have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on this very auspicious day. Soha and our gorgeous baby are doing well. We thank you for your kind wishes, love and blessings,” Kunal Kemmu had said in a statement.

Recently, Soha Ali Khan launched her first book ‘The Perils of Being Moderately Famous’. The book is a collection of humorous and bizarre stories on her life as a royal princess and a moderately famous celebrity, as she likes to call herself.

Kunal Kemmu, who will play Ram Jethmalani on the big screen, says bringing alive the journey of the veteran lawyer-politician is a huge responsibility on the team. The film will be produced by Kemmu, his wife Soha Ali Khan and Ronnie Screwvala. The actor admits they were initially unsure about bringing Jethmalani’s story to life, but they firmly believed that it deserved a cinematic adaptation.

“We felt his story needed to be told — whether as a series or a feature film. There is a lot of trustworthiness as it is not a work of fiction.” Kemmu adds that getting Jethmalani’s official go-ahead was most important for the team. “We needed his life rights with us, and it all happened, now it is a huge responsibility on us.”

He says, “The biopic has to be real. You get the rights as you want to say everything that is not in public domain. It will be all of it [positive and negative].” Kemmu informs the team is currently putting the script together and they will soon announce the name of the director. Jethmalani, 94, announced his retirement in September this year.

Bollywood couple Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu have shared the first photo of their newborn daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu on the occasion of Children’s Day 2017. While posting the photo on Instagram, Soha Ali Khan wrote, “Wishing all the children everywhere a very happy children’s day. May your innocence continue to inspire us to be better people #happychildrensday (sic).” Soha’s husband Kunal, too, shared the picture on his Twitter page and captioned it, “Wishing all the children everywhere and my little munchkin a very happy children’s day. May your innocence continue to inspire us to be better people #happychildrensday (sic).”

Soha Ali Khan had been advocating yoga during her pregnancy. She shared photos on her Instagram and showed how to stay fit during the nine months of pregnancy. Like her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan was up and about during her pregnancy. She endorsed stuff related to pregnant women like oils to keep stretch marks away and mineral water which is beneficial during the nine months. Unlike several Bollywood women who go missing as soon as they realise they are in the family way, Soha, like Bebo, did not shy away from shutterbugs.

In an interview earlier, Soha Ali Khan told Kareena Kapoor Khan had been giving her diet tips and more for expecting mothers. “Kareena has been very helpful. She recently went through this. What should I eat, what is allowed, what isn’t,” Soha had said. “I really don’t know what to expect or how the journey ahead is going to be like,” she added.

Kunal Kemmu was in a live-in relationship with Soha Ali Khan, daughter of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, since May 2013. They got engaged in July 2014 and tied the knot in January 2015. They worked together in films like ’99’, ‘Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge’ and ‘Mr Joe B. Carvalho’.

Sneak Peak: Golmaal Again (2017)

golmaal-again The much-in-news trailer of ‘Golmaal Again’ is here and it looks bigger and better than all the other installments of the franchise. This time however with Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tabu, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Parineeti Chopra, the story has an added twist of horror.

The three-minute-long trailer that was unveiled post a trailer launch in Mumbai sees the story unfold for the fourth installment. Ajay Devgn and Shreyas Talpade set the base for the audience as the trailer opens to a howling background score. What follows is a series of supernatural events that set the tone of a paranormal existence in the house where all these characters reside in the film. Parineeti is the fresh female face in the film and looks breathtakingly beautiful in each frame, Tabu as Rukmini, on the other hand, does an impeccable job with her acting chops.

The fourth film boasts of a huge star cast including Parineeti, Tabu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever while retaining the usual suspects – Ajay, Tusshar, Arshad, Kunal and Shreyas. The film is scheduled to release on October 20, 2017.
