“Robert’s rebellion was built on a lie”, Bran to Samwell Tarly – connecting the dots that finally confirms Jon is not just any bastard, but a Dornish bastard, who are apparently called ‘Sand’ and, not ‘Snow’.

This revelation is so big that we are not sure how to feel about it. Although, all the Game of Thrones’ Fans saw this coming but we hadn’t expected the makers to disclose it so soon.

Anyhow, if you haven’t seen the final instalment of the Season 7, then you better save this story, for, it will ultimately put the crucial missing piece back in the puzzle.

Remember Gilly making a huge discovery about Jon Snow’s parents? Yes, now let’s break down what caused Robert’s rebellion, piece by piece:

It began when Gilly reads some information recorded by Maynard to Sam which goes on like, “Maynard says here, that he issued an annulment for a Prince Raggar and remarried him to someone else at the same time in a secret ceremony in Dorne”, in a confused manner, Gilly asks Sam the meaning of ‘annulment’, referring to someone called ‘Prince Raggar’, without realising the importance of it.

This conversation led Sam to travel back in the North to have Jon’s back. While he was there, he had a little moment with Bran, who was aware of Jon being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, yet, not the fact that High Septon Maynard had annulled Rhaegar’s marriage to Elia Martell, before marrying him off to Lyanna in Dorne, which was again, a secret affair that he oversaw.

Earlier, it was believed that Prince Rhaegar, heir to the Iron Throne, kidnapped Lyanna, Ned’s sister, who was engaged to Robert Baratheon. This theory has been nullified, even though it was a lot more controversial as Rhaegar was thought to be still married to Elia Martell. Amidst all this confusion and lies, the truth has finally come up.

At the time of coming to know about Bran’s power of being a Third Eyed Raven, to which Sam’s reaction was rather shocking and funny, leaving Bran no choice but to go back in time and have a reality check. It’s confirmed that Jon’s real name is Aegon Targaryen. Now, I’m pretty sure you have the same questions revolving around your head that were on my mind while watching the episode: What kick-started the war? What triggered Robert to get rebellious? What happened to Lyanna Stark? Chill out, we have all the answers for you.

Here’s what happened – The great abduction:

via GIPHY

Yes, abduction of precious Lyanna caused everyone around her to throw a fit. Her older brother Brandon who had been on his way to Riverrun to wed Catelyn Tully, rode to King’s Landing instead, demanding that King Aerys II Targaryen (who is often called as the Mad King, father of Rhaegar’s), have Lyanna returned and his son punished. While things didn’t work out in the older brother’s favour, who was later imprisoned and, was charged with treason along with his father Rickard Stark. The Mad Kind had both of them killed in front of the entire Royal court, in his insanity; making Jon Arryn, the lord of the Eyrie, raise his banners in revolt against the crown and, sent Robert Baratheon and Ned back to their lands.

Lyanna’s alleged kidnapping was the cause of the uproar of Robert’s breakdown which ultimately led to his rebellion. But now that we are apprised of what actually happened back in the day, it’s obvious that Rhaegar hadn’t abducted Lyanna but had annulled his first marriage to finally get hitched to his lady love.

In case you haven’t notice this, if Jon sits on the Iron throne in the final season for which, we might have to wait for two years according to the reports, he will rule as King Aegon IV Targaryen. Doesn’t that excite you already?

Now, we’re only left with one doubt: Will Daenerys accept a different heir to the iron throne?

“You need to find a way to make her listen.”

Varys is urging Tyrion who seems anxious over Daenerys’ actions, which has seemed to cause a stir with angst in Peter Dinklage’s character. Here is the trailer of the forthcoming episode of Game of Thrones, which has been released after a dramatic screening of the fourth episode, not only because it was seen by thousands of people much before its actual time; but also because of the battle which blew our minds away. The trailer in which Daenerys appears to be stuck on the same phrase “Bend the Knee” and can be seen layering it down upon the defeated soldiers and lords giving them final option whether to, “join me, or refuse and, die” in her own words. No qualms about the fact that she’s getting power hungry and brutal as the season is approaching to an end. Meanwhile, Cersei is promising Master Qyburn over-confidently that she will defeat “whosoever stands in our way”.

Bran’s visions, on the other hand, are becoming stronger and clearer than ever before. Jon is seemingly apprising the court of Dragonstone, “Bran saw the army of Night King marching towards Eastwatch”. Next week’s installment should be as ferocious as ‘The spoils of war’ which startled us to the core of our existence.

And, for all those who are wondering if Jaime dies in this week’s episode or not, we have the answer for you. He doesn’t. As reported through the leaked script, it confirms not only Jaime’s survival, but also that it was Bronn who saved him and not Dickon as many wondered. Excerpt from the leaked part of the scripts reads –

‘Just before Drogon strikes, Bronn dives in from the side, and tackles Jaime off his horse and over the side of the bridge. They tumble into the Blackwater Rush as Drogon fries both their horses. The rapids rush Jaime and Bronn away from the bridge and battle, Bronn holding them underwater. Above them the water’s surface boils and steams under dragonflame. Drogon does not like missing meals. Drowned men float alongside them. Jaime looks down and sees an even sadder sight: living soldiers trapped on the riverbottom, their armor too heavy to swim. Their eyes look up at Jaime, beseeching him for a help he can’t give, as they drown.’

We are as much in anticipation as to what will happen, if the excerpt is anywhere to be true. However, the 4th episode was stellar and so badass that it made a lot of us watch the entire battle more than just one time. We can only hope for the upcoming episode to be as brutal! Till that time, treat yourself with the trailer & comment below the theories you can come up with!

After talking openly in the media about wanting to be a father, Karan Johar stunned everyone when he recently announced the news of him turning a parent, with the help of surrogacy. Roohi and Yash, as they are adorably named after his parents, Karan has finally revealed his precious little babies’ pictures and what better day than Raksha Bandhan to reveal their faces! The kids are super adorable and the wishes on his Instagram handle are growing by the minute.

6 months old today….#roohiandyash #happyrakshabandhan #lovesofmylifeâ?¤ï¸?

A post shared by Karan Johar (@karanjohar) on Aug 7, 2017 at 2:56am PDT

From keeping it low-profile and being a doting father that he has become, it hasn’t stopped him from being vocal about his journey as he’s experiencing fatherhood single handedly – fears and insecurities that come with doing this job, especially when he’s not around constantly. He pens down a heartwarming letter to Vogue that shows how grateful he is for having them, his concerns, him wanting to be healthier so he could live to watch them grow into wonderful beings.  Read the open letter –

Dear Roohi and Yash,

I was 44-years-old when you were born to me, and almost immediately you made me as sentimental as a Hallmark greeting card. I spout clichés on how magical the two of you are, how you have filled the vacuum in my life and how you made my house a home, but it’s true.

You’ve changed my life completely, and I’m not complaining. I worry a lot more than I ever did—I have these strange thoughts about my insurance premium, my will, even the division of my assets. I stay awake some nights wondering who I can appoint your guardian if something happened to me.

For now, for me, thoughts of what or who I’d want you to be are a long way off—instead, my survival and longevity have taken on a new importance. It might sound selfish but it’s my immediate instinct, to be there for you as long as I can, no matter what. Do you want to know the first thing I did when you were born? I started going to the gym and got myself a nutritionist. All to get healthier, so I’m around. I’m aware that the one thing I can give you, that I owe you, is my life. So when I think of what dreams and aspirations I have for you, my first dream is that I’m there long enough.

Most people underrate the gravity of the decision to bring a child into this world. It’s considered a part of regular life—you get married and procreate. It’s simply the done thing. But in today’s day and age, filled with urban angst and crazy schedules where one is barely able to handle their own life, bringing a new life is a big decision. It felt instinctual, I just knew I was ready—to nurture you in the way that I knew best.

Parenting advice is available in every nook and cranny—from what formula milk to how you should be burped. There were aunts and uncles who would extol the virtues of an ergonomically designed cradle and others who would wax eloquent on the degree of softness that your baby pillow should possess. I listen to everyone’s advice, but as a single father I’ve had to find my own path, my own way of being your dad. I am learning to rely more on my instincts and I’m learning to accept the fears, apprehensions and insecurities that come with being a dad.

I’ve already started imagining things like your first day at school, your first words and even your first acknowledgement of me. To tell you the truth, every single day I whisper ‘papa, papa, papa’ into your ears because I’m petrified that your first words will be in Malayalam (all our four nurses are from Kerala)!

My second dream of what I wish for the two of you is, strangely, a reaction to all those who will ask us: “Will your kids take your legacy forward?” My father never forced me to do what I’m doing. In fact, he did not want me to do what I’m doing. He wanted me to branch out of the industry, so, likewise, I don’t want you to do what is expected just because I have a company and have built a legacy. You don’t have to take my company forward if you are not inclined towards the film business. Instead, I wish that I bring you up to become people who are fiercely independent in your choices, opinions and your individual lives. The legacy, if any, I want to pass on is the independence that I was given.

Earlier this year, I attended a session with Sadhguru, and he said something beautiful that stayed with me. He said he brought up his daughter by imparting to her no knowledge. He didn’t teach her anything—whatever she learned was from the environment around. That’s what I want my children to do. I don’t want you to conform to the knowledge that is available. So, my third hope for you is that you never feel the need to conform to convention. I wouldn’t want you to be religious because you are told to be so, or turn to spirituality because it’s the cool thing to do. I don’t want you to do what people think is right. I want you to grow and acquire your own beliefs. I don’t think there’s a rulebook I can follow to take care of you, but I do believe that if I have my own strong value system, it will be imbibed into our home (and our lives), organically.

Lastly, I don’t know how much of your journey I will be around to witness, but it’s important for you to do just one thing—remember. I always remember what my father did and who he was. I live with my mother and I love seeing what she says and what she doesn’t. I want you two to eventually remember it all.

Love,

Papa

Man, ever since the season 7 of ‘Game Of Thrones' has begun, the world seemed to have stopped doing everything else and just focus on the show. Post every episode, we are accompanied with a bunch of analysis, or ‘fan' theories, which barely come true because the show is so twisted that we are never able to pretend accurately. Earlier on Monday, the 2nd episode was out and everyone lost their cool, especially the twitterati – buzzing with enthusiasm over the episode “Stormborn”. Well, if episode 1 sailed smoothly without any hustle -bustle, the second one was a thunderstorm for the fans. Here are some of the reactions, observations for the second episode of Season 7 by the Twitterati:

But, what caught everyone's attention was when Euron Greyjoy invaded his niece and nephew's ship. Apparently, the fans on twitter were exasperated when Theon abandoned his sister Yara who was in a faceoff with Euron and was ultimately dominated and was held hostage by the man himself. Reek panicked and instead of stepping up as his sister's “protector” as Yara had expected, she was more or less disappointed, like all the other people on twitter. Oh, I'm not blaming the poor lad, he lost his fucking tool and was hurt way too much to hold his cool in such a situation. Can we spare him just this one time?

Even though some of these reactions are absolutely hilarious and on point, we all are really thrilled to watch the next episode “The Queen's Justice”.

“The war's already begun; I've drawn first blood,” Cersei says in the trailer, as Tyrion warns Dany that Cersei is ready and knows that they're coming. Qyburn, the mad scientist has come up with an invention which will kill the magical creatures and maybe that's what will get Cersei back in the game.

If you are someone like me who didn’t think of watching the second episode on your way to the office and is dreading the decision of putting it off for another couple of hours – you’re at the right place. Since, I haven’t watched it with the world; I am not the best person to give you spoilers anyway, so you can breathe a sigh of relief!

The official synopsis from HBO for episode 3 revealed: “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) holds court. Cersei (Lena Headey) returns a gift. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learns from his mistakes.” What the synopsis didn’t reveal was the much-awaited meeting we see in the ‘The Queen’s Justice’, the episode 3 trailer:

In the second episode, Arya was seen confronted by a direwolf which left the fans flustered and many were hoping it to be Nymeria, the one she raised. Next week, Jon and Dan will be seen coming face-to-face, along with Sir Davos, Missandei, and Tyrion, all in one scene. The rest of the trailer is focused on Euron getting a hero’s welcome in King’s Landing with what we may assume is his ‘priceless gift’ for Cersei.

And, the unsullied going on for a battle looking ready as always to take over Casterly Rock which is a speculation, but it would be the most perfect hit at Cersei and Daenerys’ plan to conquer the Casterly Rock will come true, even before Cersei will realize it. Dragonstone and Casterly Rock are getting some visitors, that is for sure. The upcoming episode should be an action-packed episode and before you and I get all excited and in frenzy about the third episode, we should watch the second one before someone spoils it for us.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one actor who has been appreciated and loved not just by his fans, but by the entire Bollywood fraternity also. His versatility has been remarkable – from acting like a total ‘dabang’ in action packed movies like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, to donning a comical and a goofy role in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Not to forget his kickass performance in the movie ‘Kick’, where he definitely proved that he’s not less than any of the Khans, any day.

‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ is his upcoming action-thriller movie and is directed by Kushan Nandy. The trailer is out now and you can obviously predict that it’s going to be his one of the best we have seen so far. The movie is set out in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the accent and style surely reflects that. The trailer is filled with humorous dialogues and has some wild action romance. Also, before the release of the trailer, Nawaz apparently posted an image of him posing in Salman Khan style with a caption: “Jane kyun sab humko ‘Bae’ bulate hain… matlab #BesharamBabu , kal trailer lekar aayenge”. No wonder he’s a ‘bae’ of the entire nation.

The movie also stars Bengali actress Bidita Bag (the leading lady) who replaced Chitrangada Singh along with Divya Dutta  who is impressive as always. It’s set to hit the theaters on the 25th of August.

All the GOT fans out there, we know, you have watched the trailer many times, read enough theories and rumors, discussed what’s going to happen in the 7th season and probably have watched reruns to refresh your memory. We know you’re guilty of doing all that as much as I am. The anticipation is probably killing you by now but wait, wait till you read the titles and synopsis of the first three episodes revealed by HBO.

The Titles Of The First 3 Episodes Of ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Are Out

Here it is:

1. Dragonstone – Jon organizes the defense of the North. Cersei tries to even the odds. Daenerys, our beloved Khaleesi returns home.

2. Stormborn – Dany (Khaleesi) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon faces a revolt. Tyrion plans the conquest of westeros.

3. The Queen’s Justice – Dan holds court. Cersei returns a gift. Jaime learns from his mistakes (does that mean their incestuous relationship will come to an end?).

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has reportedly told his fans to prepare themselves as this season’s pace is a lot faster than the previous ones. “This season is really different than any other season because it’s accelerating towards the end, a lot of stuff collides and happen much much quicker than you’re used to seeing on thrones”, says Jon. “It’s so different than what everybody is used to. It’s quite exciting”, he finishes off by assuring that it’s going to be one thrilling season.

Not just him but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) with whom we have a love-hate relationship, also agreed with Kit: “I feel like I’d been lulled into a different pace. Everything happens quicker than I’m used to. A lot of things that normally take a season now take one episode.

Show-runner Dan Weiss, the producer-writer has given a much logical explanation of why the show has picked up speed: “Things are moving faster because in the world of these characters the war they’ve been waiting for is upon them. The conflicts that have been building the past six years are upon them & those facts give them a sense of urgency that makes ‘the characters’ move faster.”

The Titles Of The First 3 Episodes Of ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Are Out

This might be also because as claimed by the directors themselves, they’re running out of good content to showcase in the following seasons, hence 8th is the last that will hit our TV screens and that too, only with 6 episodes. However sad that makes us, it’s also good news because the show is not going to be one of those series like “How I Met Your Mother” that are stretched for no reason at all!

Leaving that aside, we have numerous questions that can’t wait to be answered and that’s only going to happen on 16th of July, the premiere date.
