Salman Khan Has Already Sorted Out Plans For Eid 2019 With His Upcoming Movie 'Bharat'

If you ever have doubts regarding any festival dates, particularly Eid, don’t look at the calendar hanging on your wall, go and search for Salman Khan’s movies instead. You can trust him because his films and Eid always go hand in hand. Be it ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Sultan’ or his latest release ‘Tubelight’, it seems Salman Khan has found his success mantra in releasing movies on Eid. Carrying forward the legacy, Salman has already sorted out plans for Eid 2019.

Salman, who is currently busy with his upcoming movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will soon join Atul Agnihotri and director Ali Abbas Zafar for ‘Bharat’, which is an official remake of the 2014 Korean movie ‘Ode To My Father’. Set in the backdrop of Korean War in 1950, the movie revolves around a young boy who gets separated from his father and sister during the Hungnam Evacuation, and how he struggles for years to find them and reunite with his family.

Producer Atul Agnihotri was instantly drawn towards it when he saw the film at the Berlin Film Festival, so he went ahead and acquired the official rights for the remake. However, he says that ‘Bharat’ is going to be a special one and the Korean movie is a source of inspiration. “That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with ‘Bharat’,” he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Further giving details about the film, Agnihotri said, “It’s the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.” ‘Ode To My Father’ is considered to be one of the classic Korean movies and it will be interesting to see how Agnihotri and Zafar bring a desi touch to it. The film will be shot at various locations like Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi. Talking about any big names attached to the film other than Salman, Agnihotri said, “Casting will be our main agenda over the next three months and since it’s a character-driven story, we will take actors who fit the part. It won’t be about getting names together but will be honest in its depiction.”

The storyline and the deadly trio of Salman Khan-Atul Agnihotri-Ali Abbas Zafar have already raised our excitement to a pinnacle, although it’s only 2017 (and we still have a year to go). But, there’s nothing to be disappointed about, Salman’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite Katrina Kaif, which is also helmed by Zafar is going to hit the theatres this December.

After “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”, if there’s anything that broke the internet with equal intensity, it’s “Happy Birthday Prabhas” or “#HBDDarlingPrabhas”. Fans have been flooding the social media with wishes and prayers for the actor, who turned 38 today. And as for Prabhas, who is at the center-stage of this discussion, he is surely on cloud nine as the first look of his upcoming film ‘Saaho’ also released today.

Following the footsteps of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and hoping to achieve similar success, the makers of this movie chose his birthday to release the first look and we are not complaining at all. Prabhas looks amazing in this mysterious and intriguing avatar.

The moment you see the big man in black dressed in a long coat with a scarf covering half his face, walking down the misty road against the backdrop of skyscrapers; you know that you wouldn’t want to miss this. Is it just me or is there anyone else who feels that Prabhas looks like a desi ‘James Bond’ or a doppelganger of Sherlock Homes. After giving an exceptional performance in ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas is all set to stun us all with his never seen before avatar in this action thriller that is being shot in both Hindi and Telugu.

The movie also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Neil will play Prabhas’ archenemy in the movie. The teaser that was released earlier this year had already created ripples on social media, and if you by any chance missed that out, you can watch it here.

On one hand where Prabhas’ fans are going gaga over him, Ryan Gosling’s fans don’t seem to be too impressed and are criticizing his avatar which looks heavily copied or ‘inspired’ from that of ‘Blade Runner 2049’.

This movie is special for various reasons and one of them is the fact that this one will be Prabhas’ first films after long years of working for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, during which he did not work on any other project. ‘Saaho’ is an action thriller directed by Telugu filmmaker Sujeeth Reddy and is scheduled for a 2018 release.

We Want Thor To Hammer This TV Host Who Revealed A Major Spoiler From 'Thor: Ragnarok'

Disclaimer: This article contains a major spoiler from the upcoming movie ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.

The release of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is right around the corner, and we are already losing our minds contemplating how the story will unfold in the third installment of ‘Thor’ series. On one hand, Marvel Studios is trying their best to be impenetrable about the movie’s premiere, while others are simply making things tougher by creating loopholes in their plans by dropping massive spoilers.

Earlier, we saw our beloved ‘Hulk’, Mark Ruffalo accidently stream the first few minutes of the film, after he went live from Instagram at the premiere of the film and forgot to turn the video off. Well, this time around too a massive plot-twist was revealed, but thankfully the cast wasn’t responsible for the spoiler.

Blame it on a universal conspiracy or the over-excited junta, there are certain things that probably even Marvel Studios can’t control and spoilers lead that list. Recently, ‘Thor’ and ‘Hulk’ i.e. Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo appeared on an interview with ‘The Project’. In a bid to ask interesting questions, the TV host went ahead and blurted out one major story plot, leaving Chris Hemsworth visibly embarrassed and shocked after this gaffe. The host spoke about Cate Blanchett’s character ‘Hela’, the Goddess of death and referred to her as Thor’s SISTER. (ARE YOU KIDDING US?)

Now this is definitely a massive blow because even in the comics, she has been addressed as Loki’s daughter, which will make her Thor’s niece since Loki is his adoptive brother. Anyway, without digging too deep into their relationship, the point is that Hela might actually be Thor’s sister, if the host’s words are taken into consideration. Hemsworth was also taken aback by this sudden revelation and shot back at the host saying, “You can’t say it’s his sister, you can’t give that away.”

And not just once, the spoiler was dropped three times. So the reporter started the conversation with this bomb and we really have to applaud Hemsworth for not losing his cool completely.

“Obviously it’s a star-studded cast, our very own – the gorgeous – Cate Blanchett plays your sister, Chris.”

Second Spoiler…

“Your Sister, Chris.”

Third Spoiler and the most major one…

“And for a lot of this movie, your sister – she’s trying to kill you, your brother…”

This is when Hemsworth interrupted him, but the damage was already done, so he tried to play it cool and said jokingly that “This is not live, is it? We can rewind the tapes…”

We guess after this gaffe, Mark Ruffalo is breathing a sigh of relief as he is no longer the king of spoilers. This host now takes the award home with this epic stint that we’ll most definitely remember for the longest time. ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is slated for an October 25 release…and only then will we know if this major spoiler is actually true.

Parents always want to protect their kids from anything and everything under the sun and it’s quite understandable, because they want to keep them secure. Reasonable. But what happens when this love triggers their overprotective instincts and they set out to control their kids’ lives? We guess John Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz might be in a better position to answer this, since that’s exactly what they will be doing in the upcoming comedy movie ‘Blockers’.

Since time immemorial, Hollywood has been making big bucks by stressing on the importance of prom night in teenagers’ lives and how their parents freak out, imagining their kids losing their virginity one fine day (or should we say night). So what makes this one special that the rest? The mighty John Cena as an overprotective dad, who even dares to chug beer through his (I can’t even) butt for his daughter? Of course! But this isn’t the only ‘special’ element. The movie smartly plays around the concept of using emojis for conveying sexual messages – you know just millennial things – and how poor parents are trying hard to decode those sex emojis.

The premise of the movie is slightly cliché; a trio of parents who have seen their daughters grow up together, stumble upon a group chat where the daughters are busy chatting through emojis. Turns out, the three have signed a ‘sex pact’ where they will lose their virginity on their prom night. Well, definitely the shock was bigger than walking in on kids masturbating. So the parents decided to ruin the prom night for their kids and go to extreme lengths to stop them from having sex. We wonder if the thought of teaching their kids to have safe sex ever crossed their minds, it could have been a less painful option, especially for John Cena.

While Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz share a great comic timing, professional wrestler John Cena managed to tickle our funny bones as well with his hilarious antics. ‘Pitch Perfect’ writer Kay Cannon wears the Director’s hat for this film which stars Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Gideon Adlan as the beautiful daughters. The coming-of-age comedy movie is expected to release on April 6, 2018.

Ever since the trailer of ‘The Punisher’ came out last month, people have primarily been discussing two things – Marvel Comics and actor Jon Bernthal, whose character Frank Castle will be seen going to extreme lengths to avenge his family’s murder.

While we were still recuperating from the action-packed dark trailer of ‘The Punisher’, Jon is already out with the next bone-chilling trailer of his upcoming release ‘Sweet Virginia’. After flooring us with his performances in ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Baby Driver’, ‘Wind River’ and ‘Snitch’; Jon is all set to take us on another nightmarish ride where you will witness him unleashing his innermost demons.

Although the trailer is slightly towards the milder side when it comes to showcasing brutality, it still has massive potential to mess you up both psychologically and emotionally. Based on Ben and Paul China’s

‘Black List’ script, ‘Sweet Virginia’ revolves around Sam (Jon Bernthal), a former rodeo star who now runs a motel in Alaska. He soon befriends a mysterious guy, Elwood (played by Christopher Abbott), who is responsible for wrecking havoc and raising hell in the town. However, Sam is blissfully unaware about his friend being the one responsible for the bloodbath. As the truth starts surfacing and secrets are revealed, Sam finds his inner dark impulses overpowering him, something he had kept hidden under the garb of peace all this while.

Jon is at his usual best in the trailer and this movie is definitely special for him as he acknowledged in a tweet that “this film is close to my heart.”

Besides Jon, who has earlier showed his acting prowess and potential to be a badass guy, Abbott too has done a fabulous job in this nail-biting trailer. Although, we don’t think his notorious avatar should come as a surprise, since he has earlier proved how terrifying he can be in ‘A Most Violent Year’ and ‘It Comes at Night’.

Directed by Jamie M. Dagg, the movie also features Imogen Poots, Odessa Younng, Jared Abrahamson, Darcy Laurie and Rosemarie DeWitt. The movie is slated for a November 17 release and our excitement now knows no bounds.

With some of the most incredible releases of 2017 like ‘It’, ‘Annabelle: Creation’ and ‘The Evil Within’, Hollywood seems to have finally found its success mantra in the horror genre. Such is the effect that now almost every director wants to take a detour to the imaginary land of the demented, messed up, gruesome and vile murderers and spirits.

The latest edition to join this journey is director Mickey Keating, who is all set to creep our senses out with his upcoming horror movie ‘Psychopaths’. And the recently released trailer gives us a low-key glimpse of how messed up the movie is going to be.

What happens when multiple serial killers cross paths over one single night? Mere blood and gore doesn’t cut it as what actually ensues is way worse and bloodcurdling than one can imagine. The movie revolves around a serial killer, whose soul descends back to Earth and possesses his followers under the full moon. Ashley Bell who was earlier seen in ‘Carnage Park’ plays Alice, an escaped mental patient who believes that she is living in the glamorous times of the 1950s.

The other serial killers are Blondie, a seductress who lures men down into her suburban basement; the Midnight Strangler and a masked contract killer. Who survives this bloodbath and how long the night is going to be, weaves the rest of the plot.

Other stars include James Landry Hébert, Mark Kassen, Angela Trimbur, Larry Fessenden, Jeremy Gardner, Ivana Shein, Helen Rogers, and Sam Zimmerman. This movie brings some of the most amazing brains under one roof and it will be interesting to see whether they manage to live up to the hype that ‘It’ and ‘Annabelle: Creation’ have created for the horror genre. Along with Keating, Jenn Wexler, William Day Frank, Cam McLellan, and Al Lewison; will also produce this film. ‘Psychopaths’ is slated to release in the US on December 1.

Mark Ruffalo 'Accidentally' Livestreamed 'Thor: Ragnarok' & No We Are Not Mad At Him

If the wait for the premiere of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ wasn’t hard enough, actor Mark Ruffalo made it worse by teasing us with an

accidental glimpse of a portion of the film. Yes, all his fans were in for a great surprise when Ruffalo went live from the Los Angeles world premiere from which he went live on Instagram, but forgot to turn it off.

People were listening and commenting on his Instagram live (although it was only audio) and wondering about how long it will take for Ruffalo to realize this mistake. At least now we know that we aren’t the only victims of social media gaffes, as celebs too fall prey to it.

Apparently, during the screening, our beloved Bruce Banner aka Hulk, who until then was pointing his phone at the audience, forgot to switch off the app and kept the phone in his pocket as it is. Although, the fans couldn’t see what was going on, they did get to hear some dialogues.

Now we don’t know if someone informed him about this goof up or he figured it out on his own, but he eventually stopped his live feed. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios was secretive about the premiere and asked the people attending it to turn off their mobile phones and get them locked in sealed pouches before walking inside the theatre. Just like Bruce Banner rips his clothes into shreds when turning into the Hulk, irony was ripped apart by Ruffalo during the film’s premiere. Clearly, superheroes are beyond these rules made for us humans.

After this livestream goof-up, internet has already found its new king of spoilers in Mark Ruffalo. Poor man has our sympathies. You just CAN’T hate Ruffalo! But the internet is a mean, mean world.

While we are eagerly awaiting the release of some kickass Bollywood biopics to end 2017 on a high note, let’s not forget that our Western counterpart has lined up some amazing gifts for us. From getting an insight into the life of crime lord, John Gotti to learning about the creator of Wonder Woman; Hollywood has covered our ‘infotainment’ quota for the upcoming months. If you are falling short of movies to fill your bucket list, here are a couple of biopics you must watch out for.

The Greatest Showman

This Christmas, get ready to cherish the fond memories of going to a good old circus with P.T. Barnum, founder of the legendary Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. When you have names like Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, making the stellar star-cast of the film, you can already imagine how exciting the journey is going to be. Our beloved Wolverine, Hugh Jackman will play the American showman Barnum. The movie is slated for a December 25 release.

Marshall

Directed by Reginald Hudlin, Marshall is an American biographical thriller movie that gives us an insight into the life of Thurgood Marshall, who was the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, and this movie will touch base with one of the pivotal cases that defined his career. Chadwick Boseman plays the titular role, while other cast members include Kate Hudson, Dan Stevens, James Cromwell, and Josh Gad. The movie is releasing on October 13 and we are really excited to watch this one.

Goodbye Christopher Robin

‘Winnie the Pooh’ was one of the most iconic Disney characters, which is till date etched in our hearts and loved equally across all age groups. So this movie HAS to be on your binge-watch list as it takes you through the life of author A.A. Milne and his relationship with his son Christopher Robin. Christopher’s toys inspired the magical world of ‘Winnie the Pooh’. Domhnall Gleeson plays A.A. Milne, and Margot Robbie plays Daphne Milne, his wife. The movie is releasing this week, on October 13.

‘The life and death of John Gotti’ is another interesting biographical crime drama that narrates the story of New York’s crime boss, John Gotti and his son. John Travolta is at his notorious best as the “Dapper Don” aka the head of Gambino crime family. While, he lived and died in the crime world, his son chose to leave that life and redeem himself and the Gotti name. This movie is expected to release on December 15, 2017.

If someone tells you that there could have been a better choice for ‘Wonder Woman’ than Gal Gadot, look at them closely because that’s how a liar looks like. Ever wondered who created the iconic character of Wonder Woman? It’s time to find that out with this movie, which revolves around Dr. William Moulton Marston. Set in the 1940s, this movie will also explore his relationship with his wife, Elizabeth and Olive Byrne and how their feminist ideals helped Marston come up with a powerful and inspirational superhero like Wonder Woman.

The Mercy

Starring Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz, ‘The Mercy’ is based on the true story of amateur sailor, Donald Crowhurst, who made a disastrous attempt in 1968, to win the Golden Globe Race. What follows thereafter is a shocking tale of travelling the world alone by sea and the various attempts he made to cover up the failures he experienced in the journey. Weisz will be playing his wife, Clare Crowhurst in the movie. This movie is expected for a 2018 release in the UK.

The Disaster Artist

If you loved the 2003 cult movie, ‘The Room’, then we are sure this biographical comedy drama will psych you up as well. Starring the sibling pair of James Franco and Dave Franco, this movie narrates the friendship between Greg Sestero and Tommy Wiseau and also talks about the making of the 2003 film. Seth Rogen, Josh Hutcherson and Zac Efron too will be a part of this movie that will release on December 8.

Billionaire Boys Club

Set in the early 1980s, this movie revolves around a bunch of wealthy boys who set up a club called BBC aka ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ that was nothing but a get-rich-quick scam. Things soon turned nasty and eventually led to deadly consequences for the people who started it and those around them. Ansel Elgort will play the group leader Joe Hunt and Emma Roberts will play his love interest. Kevin Spacey and Taron Egerton too are a part of this film, promising a stellar show.

Only The Brave

“It’s not what stands in front of you. It’s who stands beside you.” This is the tagline of this amazing biopic that revolves around a group of elite firefighters who put everything at stake to protect a town from a wildfire. It is based on the historic Yarnell Hill Fire of 2013. Josh Bralin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges and Alex Russell are a few names associated with the film.
