Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, getting engaged to Rose Leslie his Wilding girlfriend Ygritte, is one of the best news to have come up after the 7th season of ‘Game Of Thrones’ ended. The two met on the sets of the show and fell in love amidst the beautiful Northern Lights of Ireland. But when it’s ‘Game of Thrones’, there’s always a twist around the corner.

Well, turns out the GOT stars are distant relatives! On their respective Wikipedia pages, it is mentioned that Kit’s 8th great grandfather was none other than Charles II of England, and Rose’s mother is a distant descendant of Charles II England too.

Kit’s lineage description in his Wikipedia page reads:

“Through his paternal grandmother, Lavender Cecilia Denny, Harington’s eighth-great-grandfather was Charles II of England.”

While Rose’s page says:

“Her mother is Candida Mary Sibyl “Candy” Leslie (née Weld) of Clan Fraser, maternal great-granddaughter of Simon Fraser, 13th Lord Lovat, and descendant of Charles II of England.”

After a grand launch of ‘Bigg Boss 11’ by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai on Tuesday, makers of the controversial reality TV show have revealed the names of the four commoners who will be entering the house as contestants. Channel Colors TV’s Twitter account posted a video that revealed the identities of the four commoners who will be taking part in the show. Mumbai’s dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s son-in-law and producer of Shraddha Kapoor-starrer ‘Haseena Parkar’, Zubair Khan, is one of the commoners and has caught fans’ attention for his D-connection.

The 11th season of ‘Bigg Boss’ is all set to begin from October 1 and fans can’t keep calm. The list of commoners is officially out and the first four contestants from the list have been disclosed in a video shared by the channel.

Meet the four commoners in ‘Bigg Boss’ house:

1. Zubair Khan
Zubair Khan has co-produced Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s film ‘Haseena Parkar’. But, he has a real-life D-connection too! Zubair Khan is Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar’s real life son-in-law.

2. Jyoti Kumari
Jyoti Kumari is a peon’s daughter who is a student of Hans Raj College in Delhi. She hails from Patna in Bihar.

3. Shivani Durgah

Bollywood has been witness to several casting brawls when notable productions catch the fancy of multiple actors. But, in an interesting turn of events, Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Sanon found themselves at loggerheads over the indecisiveness of co-producers of a John Abraham production. While Pannu was the first choice for Abraham and co-producer Sunir Khetrapal, buzz that Sanon was being roped in to take her place, emerged after another production house jumped aboard.

A friend of Pannu tells mid-day, “Khetrapal is the sole owner of the film and had signed Taapsee a long time ago. Not only has the signing amount been given, Taapsee’s dates have also been locked.” Pannu has interacted with Abraham on three occasions, says the source, further pointing out that reports of Sanon being cast in the film have shocked Pannu. “She was flabbergasted. But, John and Sunil assured her that the film was hers, and a formal announcement would put rumours to rest.”

Production house KriArj Entertainment, which came aboard the film later and made a quick exit, was apparently not keen on casting Pannu. The source suggests that the co-producers began pitching the film to other female stars, including Sanon. “However, Sunil said he wouldn’t drop Taapsee since she was the first to join the cast. A formal announcement is expected within a week.” When mid-day connected with Khetrapal, he said that he “will not make a statement unless the artistes have signed the contract.”, refusing to divulge details around the lead pair.

Shilpa Shetty appeared on Farah Khan’s Lip Sing Battle as a friendly gesture. Her contract for Super Dancer 2 with Sony TV bars her from featuring on any show, except her own. While Shetty initially didn’t realise she had breached the contract, we hear the actor, who danced to Amitabh Bachchan’s number on Farah’s show, has now amended her contract. As for Farah, she took to Twitter to share a snapshot of Shilpa in her Bachchan avatar.

It was a lovely view on a Wednesday afternoon to see the entire team of the 1983 Indian Cricket Team, who brought the World Cup home, in one frame. The moment of winning the trophy was recreated by the Captain of the team-Kapil Dev along with the reel captain Ranveer Singh, who celebrated the victory and announcement of the film ’83 by splashing champagne.

At the official announcement of Ranveer Singh signed on-board to play the dynamic Captain Kapil Dev, he was all smitten by the infectious energy in the air created by the cricket legends. Ecstatic about the association, the ‘Befikre’ boy said, “How am I going to do this!?” He added, “It’s my honour and privilege to do this film.” The cricket buff himself, Ranveer was fascinated by watching the legends who got India its first Cricket World Cup.

Host Gaurav Kapur revealed that the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor was so excited meeting the cricketers that he clicked selfies with everyone and said, ‘In excitement I might throw up.’ “My generation always thought that cricket was always big. It was so shocking and surprising to learn that these gentlemen had to rise against the odds,” stated Ranveer Singh. He voted, “If you’re born in this country, then cricket has to be in your blood.”

Former Captain Kapil Dev also shared some amazing memories from the 1983 World Cup Tour. He said, “No one can say that I haven’t made any mistake. I have made many. I had a ‘fitoor’ (passion) of winning, half way through the tour we realised that we are a team. I wasn’t the captain, everyone was the captain. Everybody played really well. I really thank Kabir Khan for making a film on it. Lot of stories will come out, we’ll be embarrassed and happy also. We realised ourselves during the tour of ’83. Handling these characters( cricket team) was very difficult. it’s impossible to find such characters. We are missing Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar and Syed Kirmani over here. I apologise on their behalf but I believe they are doing better jobs right now.”

’83’ is being helmed by Kabir Khan and talking about the importance of this film in his life, Kabir shared, “I feel blessed that I’ve got the opportunity to narrate this story. It should never be forgotten. I was a school kid when I watched that match. There’s one story which is very close to a filmmaker, where he puts his everything. ’83 is that movie for me. When I went back to school after watching the match, I felt very proud because we had Kirti Azad in our school. Through this film I want to make my son feel as proud as I was as a young kid.”

Making biopics on sports legend has become a norm in the industry. Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput pulled off former Indian Cricket Team’s captain- Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which shattered the Box-Office with its collection. It would be interesting to see Ranveer Singh pull off a Kapil Dev.

If you are wondering who grabbed the first spot – it’s ‘Modern Family’ star Sofia Vergara and this is reportedly the 6th time in a row that she has been the highest pain actress on the list with $41.5 million. The second position was occupied by ‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco ($26 million) and the third position was shared by ‘Grey’s Anantomy’ star Ellen Pompeo and Mindy Kaling of ‘The Mindy Project’ fame with earnings at $13 million. Priyanka is only ahead of Robin Wright ($9 million) and Pauley Perrette ($8.5 million) in the list.

Apart from acting, Priyanka Chopra, who is also UNICEF’s Goodwill Embassador is known for her various social campaigns. Priyanka Chopra is among the world’s 10 highest paid television actresses, all thanks to her ABC TV show Quantico. This will be Priyanka’s second year on the list and this time too she is the eighth highest paid TV actress. And if you are wondering how much she has earned between June 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017, the Forbes list says PeeCee earned $10 million. The magazine’s in-depth analysis also revealed that more than 50 per cent of Priyanka’s income comes from endorsements.

Colombian actress Sofia Vergara who stars in the hit sitcom Modern Family tops the list again. Also, this is the 6th year in a row that Sofia is the highest paid actress in the list. “Sofia Vergara banked $41.5 million before taxes and fees in the 12 months to June 1, some $15 million more than second-ranked Cuoco of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, who earned $26 million during the same period,” reads the Forbes report.

While Sofia had made $41.5 million last year, Priyanka Chopra’s earning was at $11 million. The report also revealed that the world’s 10 highest-paid TV actresses made a combined $156.5 million between June 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017. Ellen Pompeo of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Mindy Kaling of Hulu’s The Mindy Project tie for the third place on the list with earnings of $13 million each.

Others in this list are Mariska Hargitay at No. 5 with earnings of $12.5 million, Julie Bowen at No. 6 with earnings $12 million, Kerry Washington on No 7 with earnings of $11 million, and House of Cards star Robin Wright on No. 9 with earnings of $9 million.
