The trailer also shows that Pedro Pascal will be returning as DEA agent Javier Peña, and will be enlisting American and Colombian law enforcement to help with the war on drugs.

Hope he recovers soon: Saira Banu on Dilip Kumar’s health

dipil-kumr-now Legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu is mum on reports of him suffering from a kidney ailment and says she is hopeful that he will recover soon with the prayers of his well-wishers and fans.

“We have to pray he recovers soon. He should be well Inshallah! God willing. The doctors are treating him,” Banu told PTI this morning, when asked about reports that Kumar is suffering from a renal ailment.

The 94-year-old acting legend is currently in the ICU at Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning after he suffered from dehydration and urinary tract infection.

According to some reports, Kumar’s kidney functions have not improved.

Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating the actor at the hospital, was unavailable for a confirmation on this.

The thespian has given memorable performances in films like ‘Andaz’, ‘Aan’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Kranti’, ‘Karma’ and others.

His last film was ‘Qila’ that released in 1998.
Known as the tragedy king of Bollywood, Kumar was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest award in cinema, in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second-highest civilian award, in 2015.

The superstar replied to one of the tweets of Aamir Khan, where he had shared the trailer of his new film, Secret Superstar, and wrote, “This so much yaar. & as I mentioned ur trailer Secret Superstar is sooo endearing. Let me know when u can watch JHMS”

If you are confused by the tweet then let me decipher it for you. The first part of the tweet is for Aamir Khan’s other tweet where he said this, “Shahrukh, Anushka, Imitiaz, all the very best for your release tomorrow! I’m sure it will rock!! Looking forward !!! Love. a.” And then Shah Rukh went on to praise the trailer of Aamir’s upcoming film and called it endearing. He later asked Aamir when he would be free to watch Jab Harry Met Sejal.

We often see the bromance of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, it is very rare that we see Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan sharing their affection for each other. This is one such moment. Let’s just hope the duo, who has never shared screen space apart from a cameo in Pehla Nasha, sign a film soon with full-fledged roles for each. The tipsy ‘Kaavaan Kaavan’ has made a comeback and colour us shocked if it isn’t one of the grooviest tunes of the year. If you loved the original song in ‘Monsoon Wedding’ by Sukhwinder Singh, it goes without saying that you are bound to love this one as well.

The slick tune is sung by Divya Kumar and starts with Farhan Akhtar day dreaming about everyone chanting his name. The song plays as the background as Akhtar and Deepak Dobriyal discuss their plan to breakout of jail.

When we heard this song in Mira Nair’s film 16 years ago, little did we know that it would become an iconic generational tune. There was not a party or a wedding that was complete without playing this song. And now, Farhan Akhtar has given this beautiful number a new meaning altogether, making us all super nostalgic.

This song acts more like an inspiring tune for people who want to break the mould and breathe in free. Well, Frahan looks fab (as always) but it is Gippy Grewal who grabs your attention.

The famous singer is finally making his acting debut with this film and his desi swag adds real flavour to this wonderful song.

Every year, Bollywood is flooded with tons of movies. Some are exceptionally good and some are so bad that we just wonder why the film was even made in the first place. But then you release that it was just made for the celebrities featuring in the film. The makers made it keeping the actors in mind while it should be the other way around.

Well, to put it simply, these films are made so we can see star kids more and more. Bollywood is a place where these new-comers are given endless chances. Some have proved themselves and we definitely admire them. But there are some who are just as terrible as their films are.

Of course, Bollywood is an industry where both kinds of films are made, but some films are made just for the sake of these star kids. Here are some films that ideally shouldn’t have been made but they were, anyway.

Neal N Nikki

We bet many of you might have already guessed that this would be the first film to make it to this list. Every time I watch this film, I just wonder why was this film even made?

TBH, if an option was ever given, these actors would prefer to delete this film from the history.

P.S: In fact, all Uday Chopra movies were a sheer waste of money, time and energy. But then Yash Raj Films can afford that. Paisa bolta hai!

Mirzya

This Rakesh Omprakash Mehra film was so bad that people had to take disprin by the time they reached home (telling this from a personal experience). And guess who starred in the film? It was none other than Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor. Let’s hope he doesn’t repeat this mistake again.

Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe

Starring Esha Deol and Aftab Shivdasani, this film would have won the worst movie of the year if that category existed. But instead, Esha was given best female debutant of the year. Well, these things do happen only in B-town.

Saawariya

Famous as a blue film (not because of the content), this is the worst film by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was so, so bad that you just couldn’t believe a director like Bhansali could create something like this. But then it was the film that introduced Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in the industry. And now you know why this film was created in the first place.

Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon

Omg! The lesser we say the better. This is the perfect example of nepotism, three actors from famous B-town families coming together for a movie whose plot so too complex to be true. Despite them giving back to back flops, the director felt that they would make the perfect cast for the film. And what was the result? Yet, another flop of the year!

P.S. If you hate someone just make them watch this movie.

Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai

Well, ‘Mujhe Bhi Kuch Kehna Hai’: please stop making such films. From Tushar Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor to over acting, this film had all the ingredients to be a disaster and it was!

Prem Aggan

This film was such a brilliant piece of art that we still can’t stop talking about this film till date. Watch Fardeen Khan in an avatar that you will never get over.

Kal Kissne Dekha

Starring Jackky Bhagnani, son of famous producer Vashu Bhagnani, this film is beyond everyone’s comprehension. In fact, no one knew when this movie came and went. However, this was just the start of some brilliant movies starring Jackky.

Jimmy

‘Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy…….jaaa jaaa jaaa jaaa jaaa jaaa’, that’s the feeling you get after watching this film starring Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh Chakraborty. Feel blessed that he didn’t make it big in the industry.

Machine

Starring Mustafa Burmawala, ‘Machine’ was directed by the famous duo Abbas-Mustan. Even though the film recreated the song ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ and called Akshay Kumar for its promotion, it tanked big time. We wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t even know this film even existed.

And then film industry says that nepotism doesn’t exist. How ironic, isn’t it?

SRK & Diplo's Song Phurrr From 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' Is Like An Expensive Champagne With No Fizz

Blame it on the maker or the music director, after creating so much buzz, the song Phurrr from ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is finally out. And believe it or not, this song is all that you never asked for.

Well, it begins and not a single moment in the video impresses you. The least you can say is that it’s a lot like a nursery rhyme but not one that we loved or remember.

SRK & Diplo's Much-Awaited Song 'Phurrr' Is The Biggest Disappointment © Red Chillies Entertainment

For days we couldn’t keep calm; after all, Shah Rukh Khan was collaborating with popular music producer Diplo and here’s the song we waited for so long. Phurrr, just like its name should Phurrr, so we don’t have to hear it again. The song is said to be based on Anushka Sharma’s character Sejal and we really hope it is nothing like this song or it will leave tons of us disappointed.

Remember the time Akon and SRK collaborated? Boy, even now when Chamak Challo and Criminal is played we can’t help ourselves but groove to the music. The same was expected this time…but it turned out to be a champagne with no fizz.

Composed by Pritam, Diplo, and Rocky Wellseteck and sung by Tushar Joshi and Omit Chauhan, this is the biggest disappointment of the year. The only highlight of the song is Diplo striking King Khan’s signature pose.

A look at the video and you will release that it looks like a work where no one cared enough about this huge collaboration. Neither SRK nor Diplo look interested in whatsoever is being done. You have senseless lyrics, bad background score, terrible visuals and weird choreography…this pretty much sums up what we feel after looking at SRK and Diplo together.

Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi want peace for war

Among the 40 films affected by Tuesday’s strike by the Film Employee’s Federation of South India (FEFSI) in Chennai is PA Ranjith’s Rajinikanth-starrer, Kaala Karikalan. An extensive 45-day schedule in Mumbai’s Dharavi was to be followed by a 30-day plan to can action sequences in Chennai’s EVP Studios, where a replica of the Mumbai locality had been recreated.

A source tells mid-day, “Nearly 1,000 employees of the FEFSI participated in the strike. Most of the action sequences were to be shot at the Chennai set. Rajini sir and Huma [Qureshi, co-actor] had filmed for a few portions in Mumbai, but given that a lot of property was going to be damaged while filming the scenes, the unit decided to move to a studio.”

Among those affected by the hit in the schedule is Qureshi, who had specific dates assigned for the Chennai leg, before she jumped into promotional work for her Indo-Brit film, Viceroy’s House. She says, “The strike is affecting the entire industry. I hope all parties concerned solve the issue at the earliest. We look forward to returning to the set and resume shooting.”

While the unit awaits an end to the protest, alternative locations in Mumbai are being scouted. It is speculated that if filming doesn’t resume in a week, the team may return to the city to avoid wasting money and crucial time. Producer Dhanush will decide the further course of action with Rajinikanth over the weekend, the source says.

Yesterday, the South superstar also pleaded with members of both associations to solve the dispute “through peaceful dialogue”. He said, “Strike is one among the words I don’t like. A solution can be found for any issue without giving space to personal egos and keeping in mind the general good. Please hold unconditional talks. About 10,000 persons are affected and even you [producers] are facing losses. As a senior actor, I request members of FEFSI and Tamil Film Producers’ Council to discuss and find a solution to the dispute very soon.”

What irked the FEFSI

The FEFSI, a conglomeration of workers’ union, had called for the strike after the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) suggested it would work with craftsmen from outside the union over a dispute on wages. The FEFSI alleged the council had backtracked on a previous agreement based on stipend.

Shah Rukh also retweeted Aamir’s upcoming production ‘Secret Superstar’ trailer, writing, “This so much yaar. And as I mentioned your trailer Secret Superstar is so endearing. Let me know when you can watch ‘JHMS’. (sic)”

Aamir Khan returned the favour by wishing that Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ does well at cinemas tomorrow. Taking to Twitter, Aamir gave best wishes to the trio and said he was looking forward to watch the film. “Shah Rukh, Anushka, Imtiaz, all the very best for your release tomorrow! I’m sure it will rock!! Looking forward!!! Love. a,” he wrote. To which Anushka Sharma replied, “Thank you so much Aamir.”

‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ follows a tour guide Harry and a Gujarati woman Sejal’s journey across Europe. This is the third collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and
Anushka Sharma, while Imtiaz Ali is directing both the actors for the first time.

Ranbir Kapoor’s beefed up look

Ranbir Kapoor, who has always surprised his audience with his acting skills, is all set to hit the big screen again with Sanjay Dutt’s biopic. In one of the leaked pictures, the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ actor seems to have sweat it hard in the gym for his next as a massive body transformation can be seen.

Earlier in an interview he had said that he is keeping his ‘fingers crossed’ for Sanjay Dutt biopic and that filming for it was an altogether different experience. The film is being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani and is slated to release next year in March. The film also stars Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in a special role.
