Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were slated to shoot with the cast of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai at 2 pm on Thursday.

It was part of the promotions for their film, Jab Harry Met Sejal. As the two were tied up with promo shoots elsewhere, the shoot was pushed to 8 pm and later, midnight.

By the time SRK and Anushka arrived on the show’s set, it was almost 1 am. Despite a long, gruelling day, the stars shot with the TV folk till almost 4 am.

After five long years, to be precise. Even though the two parted their ways, Salman has always been there for Katrina whenever she needed him. 'Mubarakan' Review: Anil Kapoor Steals The Spotlight, While Arjun, Athiya & Ileana Fail To Entertain

When you know it's an Anees Bazmee movie, you automatically expect a few things. Of all things, there has to be a case of mistaken identity, one person helping the hero to get his girl, lots of confusion, loud music, and lastly, at least one wedding. Except for this time, you also have a twin brother situation.

The story is simple; Kartar Singh (Anil Kapoor) has got the responsibility of raising his two orphaned nephews. He gives one of his nephew Charan (Arjun Kapoor) to his brother (Pavan Malhotra) in Punjab, while gives Karan to his sister (Ratna Pathak Shah) in London. The problem starts when they meet, which ultimately leads to all the confusion.

This film looks like a fun sponsored trip for the whole cast by director Anees Bazmee. But the real question is: did the cast do justice to that fun element? Except Anil Kapoor, there is no one in the film who looks enthusiastic and entertaining. His energy is infectious and you love him in every frame. Putting it simply, one Anil Kapoor is enough to entertain you fully than the whole cast put together.

Other than Anil, it is Pavan Malhotra who keeps yelling throughout the film but you still end up liking him. He is actually good at this gimmick. Ratna Pathak Shah is amazing to watch and you enjoy her performance as well.

But other than that, the entire cast seems disinterested, just making screen presence for sake of the script. The whole cast tries their best to keep up with the twists and turns but fail miserably, leaving you frustrated at many points. After watching the film I just wonder who thought that making a film about twins whose identity got mixed was a good idea? And even if you did, why would you make it a 156 minutes film? Do you realise how stressful it might be to a viewer?

Arjun Kapoor plays a double role in the film and is so terrible that you got to say that he is the living example of nepotism. Neither Charan nor Karan make you laugh even once. But watching him on screen definitely increases your tolerance level. So half a star for that, Arjun!

Ileana fits her role and does a good job, while not the same can be said about Athiya Shetty. The girl totally needs to work on her acting!

Unlike 'Welcome' and 'No Entry', 'Mubarakan' fails to tickle your funnybone. This film is nowhere close to those films that the audience loved and enjoyed.

Well, watch this film wholly and solely for Anil Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar Bears His Soul And Talks About Being Molested When He Was 6

Akshay Kumar is one of those actors in the industry who often talks about social issues that we hesitate to even discuss. He encourages people to come out and speak out about their problems, instead of just living with them. 

He actively takes parts in seminars where you will find him talking about self-defence, women's safety, and children's problems as well as encouraging people that they talk for help. 

But, this time he went a step further and spoke about an incident that happened to him when he was just six.

It takes a lot of courage to talk about something as sensitive as this. Akshay Kumar revealed that he was molested by a liftman at the age of 6. At an international conference on Human Trafficking, he took a page out of his life and shared it with everyone in order to raise awareness about sexual harassment and abuse.

He said, “When I was a child, my parents always encouraged me to speak to them frankly about everything. Whether it was discussing a sexual issue or inappropriate behaviour, I was asked to come home and talk frankly.”

This incident affected him so much that he has to share it on this platform. “The cops took action and the man was arrested. I was a shy kid and was relieved that I could speak about this to my parents. But even today, I find it difficult to say the word ‘bum'. We must encourage women and children to speak up and tell their families if they encounter anything strange so that they can be protected and empowered.”

In a country where molestation and rapes happen every few minutes, it is important someone talks about it and gives it the required importance, instead of brushing it aside.

In the past, other celebrities like Kalki Koechlin, Swara Bhaskar, Sonam Kapoor and other have also opened about their traumatic past. This actually starts a much needed debate regarding these sensitive topics and gives people the push they need to talk about such issues as well. 

Much power to Akshay Kumar who decided to stand up and speak up about something as crucial as this. We salute him!

Return Sanjay Dutt To Jail If Rules Were Broken: Maharashtra Government

sanjay_jail28_1cActor Sanjay Dutt should return to jail if he was allowed parole because of his VIP status, the Maharashtra government said today in court.

Last month, the Bombay High Court asked the state government to justify its decision to allow the 57-year-old actor to leave jail before he completed his five-year sentence.

He was freed eight months ahead of schedule for “good behaviour.” Today, judges asked the government to furnish a new statement explaining what criteria of “good behaviour” were applied to the actor.

But even while doing time, Mr Dutt was allowed to leave jail on multiple occasions, adding upto more than 100 free days, which raised concerns and criticism of whether he was being given VIP treatment.

“How did the authorities assess that Dutt’s conduct was good? When did they get the time to make such assessment when he was out on parole half the time?” asked a judge at the Bombay High Court last month.

The case is based on a Public Interest Litigation or PIL. “If the rules were flouted in giving him parole or furlough, then the government has no objection in sending him back to jail,” the state’s lawyer said in court today.

Mr Dutt, 57, was convicted in 2013 by the Supreme Court of acquiring illegal guns from the men convicted of the serial bombings in Mumbai in 1993 in which more than 250 people were killed.

In 2007, Mr Dutt, whose most recent success came from the Munnnabhai films, was cleared of conspiracy charges in the Mumbai serial blasts but was found guilty of illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle and a pistol, which he claimed he required to protect his family during a period of rioting in the city.

The actor spent 18 months in prison, but was released on bail till the Supreme Court ordered him back to the Yerwada prison in Pune for the remaining 42 months of his sentence.

Rajkumar Hirani, who directed him in the Munnabhai films, is making a biopic on him with actor Ranbir Kapoor playing Mr Dutt.
