A Mumbai court on Saturday cancelled the bailable warrant against Bollywood actor Salman Khan in connection with 2002 hit and run case. The bailable warrant was cancelled after Salman’s bodyguard Shera stood as his surety.

Last week, the court issued a bailable warrant against Salman as he did not complete the procedure of providing surety on the past two dates. However, the bailable warrant stayed later after the lawyer had assured that the actor would complete the procedure.

On October last year, the Supreme Court heard the plea filed by the Maharashtra government, challenging the acquittal of Salman in regard to the case. In December 2015, the Bombay High Court acquitted Khan of all criminal charges on account of lack of substantial evidence in the case.

The Bollywood actor is accused of running his Toyota Land Cruiser over people sleeping on a sidewalk outside a bakery in Mumbai’s Bandra on September 28, 2002. One labourer died, while four others were injured in the accident.

Actor-comedian Sunil Grover is set to star alongside Salman Khan in his upcoming film “Bharat”. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, features Priyanka Chopra as the female lead. Grover, who was last seen on the big screen in 2016 film “Baaghi”, will play a pivotal role in “Bharat”.

“I am very excited to welcome Sunil Grover to the ‘Bharat’ family. Sunil Grover is one of the most loved names in the Television industry, he has an immense fan following owing to his commendable work. ‘Bharat’ has him playing a very pivotal part in the film and he along with Salman Khan is sure to create magic on screen,” Ali said in a statement.

“Bharat” is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, “Ode to My Father” which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man and events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War, the government’s decision to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the ’60s and the Vietnam War. Produced by Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series the film is scheduled to release on Eid 2019.

Sunil Grover is on a roll in the television world and has earned a considerable fan following for himself. Now, if reports are to be believed, the ace comedian has been roped in for a major Bollywood film.

Reportedly, Sunil, who has joined the cast recently, will be playing Salman’s friend in the film and his role will veer away from the conventional comedic role seen in most B-town films.

Of course, working in films is not very new for Sunil as he has been a part of movies like ‘Ghajini’, ‘Gabbar is Back’, ‘Baaghi’ among many others.

‘Bharat’ is slated for an Eid release next year.

Kapil Sharma’s ex-colleagues Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra have joined hands with rival Sunil Grover

One of the prominent characters of ‘dadi’ from Kapil Sharma’s The Kapil Sharma Show, Ali Asgar has now joined friend-turned-foe, Sunil Grover’s comedy web show. Sunil Grover has joined hands with Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde to come up with this comedy show based on IPL (Indian Premier League). According to indianexpress.com, Ali Asgar, Suyyash Rai, and Sugandha Mishra have also teamed up with them. The show titled Dan Dana Dan will air on the Jio TV app every Friday to Sunday during the IPL matches.

Revealing more about Sunil Grover‘s show, a source informed the portal saying, “It will be an out and out comedy series where the cricket angle has been smartly incorporated. For the first time, a comedy show will hit the digital waves and with such a talented star cast, the makers are quite confident of making it a hit project. Every episode will also see some cricketers joining in for a fun conversation and some gags. Recently, Sunil flew down with the team to Chennai to shoot for the pilot episode with the Chennai Super Kings team.”

The show is based on the lines of Extra Innings and will see the characters discussing the match and the fever in the country around that time. Apart from Ali, Sugandha, and Suyyash, Paresh Ganatra and Suresh Menon will also make appearances in the episodes. The team recently shot with MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh for a special segment. Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa might have been a comedy star in her fiction dramas but this would be the first time that she will be taking charge of a non-fiction show.

The show is helmed by sister duo Preeti and Neeti Simoes, who closely worked with Kapil Sharma in his previous two shows. On the contrary, Kapil Sharma’s new show, Family Time with Kapil Sharma has been receiving mixed responses. With Kapil’s previous colleagues joining hands with Sunil, it seems the rivalry between them will aggravate further.

Sunil Grover seems to have let bygones be bygones as far as Kapil Sharma is concerned

After extending an olive branch to Kapil Sharma by wishing him good luck for his new show, his former The Kapil Sharma Show co-star Sunil Grover on Monday wished him — his “brother” — a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday Kapil Sharma. May God keep you healthy and happy brother. Love and wishes,” Sunil tweeted.

Last year, Sunil walked out of the hugely popular comedy entertainer The Kapil Sharma Show after Kapil allegedly verbally abused him and hit him with a shoe during a flight. Their professional split was widely talked about, and they were both quite vocal about their animosity.

Kapil’s show ran for a while after Sunil, who played Guthhi, walked out, but then he brought the curtains down on it.

He has recently made a comeback on the small screen with “Family Time With Kapil Sharma”, but Sunil is not a part of the show.

Before the show began, Sunil was asked on social media about why he is not a part of it.

He had replied: “There are more people who asked me the same question. But I did not get a call for this show. My phone number is the same.”

Kapil then responded by saying that has “nothing personal” against Sunil.

“Please do not spread rumours that I did not call you… He is lying. I called him 100 times and sent my people to his home. Even I went to his home to meet him for the show but now I will not let anybody take advantage on my name. Enough is enough,” Kapil said.

Comedian Sunil Grover took to his Instagram account to share a picture of him selling vegetables. He captioned the photo as, “Entrepreneurial.” Well, what is causing jitters is Grover sharing the photo exactly a day after friend-turned-foe Kapil Sharma’s show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma went on-air.

Sunil Grover‘s photo spread like wildfire on social media and gained several likes from the viewers. His fans had different views on the picture. While some were concerned about this action taken by the comedian-actor, some requested him to join Kapil Sharma’s show.

Well, whether this photo is from Sunil’s new show, advertisement or any other project is yet to be known.

A few days ago, Sunil revealed on Twitter the reason behind him not joining Kapil’s new show, Family Time with Kapil Sharma. On March 16, Sunil Grover spoke about the fight on Twitter, when one of the users asked him the reason behind not being a part of Kapil’s new show. Grover said that he never received a call from Kapil, despite his contact number being the same.

Sunil Grover had also tweeted that he waited for a call from the team but now has signed a new project. This led to a Twitter-war between Kapil and Sunil. Kapil accused Sunil of lying and said that his team and he approached him multiple times. “Yes .. he is lying .. I called him 100 times n sent my people to his home .. even I went to his home to meet him for the show .. but now I will not let anybody take any advantage on my name .. enough is enough….Paji I called u more then 100 times n came to ur house to meet u twice .. every time u were out for some show n all .. pls don”t spread rumors that I didn”t call u (sic),” tweeted Kapil Sharma.

Will Kapil and Sunil ever mend fences? Only time will tell.

After seeing a downfall, India’s favourite funny man Kapil Sharma is now on the road to reformation. He agrees that it will be a tough ride to regain his lost glory, but one that he is determined to make. Sharma has already taken the first step – the comedian reveals that he has buried the hatchet with his long-time friend and The Kapil Sharma Show co-star, Sunil Grover. The two had a bitter fallout in March this year amidst rumours that the comedian had hurled a shoe at Grover on a flight.

But it’s all in the past now. Sharma hints at a reunion as he says, “Sunil and I haven’t met in a long time, but we chat over messages. He is currently in Canada. As soon as he returns, we will meet up and discuss the possibility of a new show. Hopefully, we should be back together. The rest of the cast members are also ready to come on board.”

Sharma agrees that the past incidents took a toll on their friendship. “When he had left the show earlier [to pursue his own show, Mad In India], I had dissuaded him from leaving us. This time too, I was sad that our issue had become so big that it had started affecting our friendship. I tried explaining to him that everyone makes mistakes and I too had committed one. But he wouldn’t have any of it.”

Probe him on the abrupt decision to pull The Kapil Sharma Show off air and he reasons, “The channel [officials] didn’t ask me to go off air. It was a mutual decision between us as I thought we needed to take a break. Also, I felt a lot was written on the controversy that happened.” While a new show is on the cards, Sharma, at the moment, is looking forward to his Bollywood project, Firangi. He hopes the audience showers as much love on him in his big screen endeavour too. “We have usually seen emotional dramas on Partition. But Firangi is a satire on it. It is a situational humour which I hope people will appreciate.”

Speculations are rife that The Kapil Sharma show is going off air, as Sony has apparently not renewed his contract. Also it has been speculated that Kapil Sharma is not in his best of health. Sony, has another show ‘Super Dancer’ in pipeline, which means The Kapil Sharma Show can get axed any time.

The rumours intensified when shoots of upcoming films ‘Mubarakan’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ had to be cancelled due to Kapil’s ill-health.
