RishiLike all other usual events, this event too had an interaction set for the media and Photographers with the actor. But, due to unknown reasons the actor was said to have behaved rude with the media even before the interaction started off.

According to a source, “The photographers were only clicking the pictures of the actor but, he suddenly lashed out on them saying, “Peeche Jao light bohot strong hai (Go back Lights are too strong), Back Please!” adds the source.

Seeing his blunt replies the Shutter bugs are said to have upset with the actor as they were only doing their job. Apparently, the actor even asked the reporters to only ask questions that is connected to the event and he won’t be entertaining any questions on his son Ranbir Kapoor.

Talking further about the situation one of the photographers also shared that, “It’s likely, known to everyone now that he (Rishi Kapoor) is tough with his words and most of the times he speaks straight on our face. That’s fine! He is a veteran actor and we respect him. But, it wasn’t even like the reporters had asked him any questions about Ranbir and Mahira or about anyone and he suddenly started bashing us. We do respect him a lot and as per our job we do our work of clicking pictures of them. Just a request to him to turn right or left a bit makes him angry. Everybody needs and wants atleast one nice picture of the stars to publish in their respective news portals. We do get they are big stars and have a busy schedule but, all we want is some respect from the stars towards our work as we too struggle a lot.”

On the work front, Rishi Kapoor will next be seen in 102 Not Out which also stars Amitabh Bachchan along-with him. Directed by Umesh Shukla and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar the film is set to release on December 1, 2017 with a clash of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited film Pamavati.

On October 2, an elated Ranveer Singh took to his Twitter handle to announce the much-awaited poster of his character Sultan Alauddin Khilji from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. He had written, “Sultan Alauddin Khilji arrives tomorrow morning.”

However, much before its release, the poster got leaked, which forced the ‘Padmavati’ team to unveil Ranveer’s look way before scheduled and Ranveer posted his look on October 3 at 1:45 am. Despite the poster’s leak, his intense and evil look in the poster got him rave reviews.

The leak caused everyone in a fury but the man who was the most agitated is Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He is a filmmaker who maintains secrecy around his film’s characters and advises the stars to maintain low-profile while filming, to avoid any uncalled circumstances. As a repercussion of the poster’s leak, Bhansali has issued an ultimatum to the team of ‘Padmavati’, which could cost them their job if not abided by.

A source from ‘Padmavati’s team told india.com, “Bhansali sir is very upset with what happened. He is convinced that while the ones who leaked the look aren’t from the team, they got their hands on the Khilji posters thanks to someone in-house. He has issued a strict warning to the entire team which has everybody shocked, shaken and scared.” Sanjay Leela Bhansali continues and likes working with his same set of people and doesn’t leave them. Be it the PR’s, make-up artists, art directors, stylists, etc. But, the consistent leaks from his films are irking Bhansali and has given a strict warning to all of them. “Padmavati is a dear project and it has already seen many lows and blows since it started rolling.

Information leak from the sets or the looks of the important characters getting out before schedule is the last thing he wants. He has sent out a loud and clear message to his team that if anything pertaining to Padmavati is leaked anymore, he will do away with the entire team and get new people on board to work with him on future projects,” revealed the source to the portal. The dynamic posters of Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh have been adored by the audiences, and the Bhansali extravaganza is slated to release on December 1, 2017.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali put down the director’s hat to play peacemaker on the set of Padmavati, when a brawl between Ranveer Singh’s driver and bodygard brought shooting to a standstill. According to an entertainment portal, the driver got into a scuffle with the security person after he demanded to meet Singh’s manager to settle his payment, amounting to Rs 85,000.

The manager, who was in no mood to pay heed to the request, demanded that the bodyguard escort him from the set, which led to an altercation. The scuffle ended in the driver losing his job, we hear.

There are certain movies which gain attention after their release, while there are some that enjoy an unparalleled attention even during the nascent stages of its making, thanks to the innumerable controversies attached to it. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming project ‘Padmavati’ fall in the latter category, after we saw the film’s sets being vandalized and posters and banners being burnt in retaliation against the movie. However, all these controversies couldn’t deter Bhansali from moving ahead with his magnum-opus period drama and despite several delays and protests, we finally got to see the first look of goddess queen Rani Padmini.

With a heavy beard, bloodstained torn clothes and the scar on face from a battle, Shahid is raising the hotness bar with this fierce aura. In another tweet, Shahid Kapoor wrote “Maharawal Ratan Singh, saahas, saamarthya aur sammaan ka prateek.” In fact, talking about his look Shahid reportedly said, “When you are playing a King, you need to have a certain personality. At that time, the people used to not be very skinny and lean, so you need to have a manly personality. Basically for that, and to carry those outfits also, Sanjay sir wants me to be a little muscular and a little full. But I will be gaining weight in terms of muscle and not in terms of fat. This is because I am playing the character of a warrior. The Rajput kings had very strong personalities.” Well, now that the look is out, we don’t think there could have been a better choice than Shahid.

‘Padmavati’ is slated to release on December 1 and now that we have seen the first look of Deepika and Shahid, we can’t wait to see Alauddin Khilji aka Ranveer Singh’s look. This movie is said to be the first collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, as Deepika and Ranveer have already worked with him in ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

The Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an organisation of the Rajput community, on Saturday burnt posters here of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited ‘Padmavati’ which is slated for a December 1 release.

A group of protesters gathered in front of Rajmandir Cinema Hall and shouted slogans against Bhansali and burnt posters of the film.

“While shooting in Jaipur Bhansali had promised to show the film to us and historians before releasing it. But since then no one has contacted us, nor has the film been shown to us,” Narain Singh Divrala, district president Jaipur of the Shri Rajpur Karni Sena, told IANS.

“We want him to show the film to the core committee of Shri Rajput Karni Sena and various organizations, including historians, before releasing it,” Divrala said.

“Till then we will not allow the film to be released,” he added.

“If the Karni Sena core committee and historians don’t have any problems only then will we allow screening of the movie,” he added.

“We have come to know through media reports that facts and history have been distorted in the film, and it is unacceptable,” Divrala said.

In January, activists of the Shree Rajput Karni Sena had protested, manhandled and misbehaved with the crew of Bhansali’s “Padmavati” claiming that he was distorting historical facts in the movie.

They had also damaged some cameras and other equipments. Bhansali had to stop shooting.

The Karni Sena claimed that they have got a big library and that in no book is it written that Alauddin Khilji, a powerful ruler of the Khilji dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate in 13th-14th century, fell in love with Padmavati or that he was her lover.

“They are trying to defame Padmavati by distorting historical facts. It is not acceptable,” an activist of Karni Sena said.

In March some miscreants broke the mirrors in Padmini Mahal (palace) in Chittorgarh Fort where Ala-ud-din Khilji is believed to have seen Rani Padmavati or Padmini.

Shri Rajput Karni Sena claims that the mirror was invented years after Padmavati lived and therefore it is a completely untrue story.

The first look of Bhansali’s much-awaited film, featuring Deepika Padukone, was released earlier this week. The actor plays Rani Padmini or Padmavati of Chittor, alongside Ranveer Singh who plays Alauddin Khilji.

Deepika Padukone goes in for minimal makeup look in Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali kickstarts the promotional spree of his labour of love today, by launching the first look of Deepika Padukone from the film. The filmmaker thought it apt to bring forth his vision of the legendary Rani Padmini as the country prepares for devi sthapana (first day of Navratri).

A unit hand says, “Since ‘Padmavati’ celebrates Indian culture, today served as an apt occasion to launch the first look.” Bhansali has a knack for doing justice to Padukone’s ethereal beauty in his films. Considering Rani Padmini was famed for her beauty, the curiosity around Deepika Padukone’s look in the film has peaked. A source close to the production reveals that she will be seen sporting a minimal makeup look in the film that also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

The source says, “We did thorough research on Rani Padmini — from the kind of outfits she wore to her makeup. Women back then used natural ingredients to enhance their beauty. Bhansali was certain that he wanted to retain the authenticity. So, Deepika used very little makeup for her role. It would take her 30 minutes to get ready.”

Despite being the queen of Mewar, Padmini’s outfits have been influenced by Sinhalese style. “Since Padmini originally belonged to Sri Lanka, her outfits have a strong Sinhalese touch, although they are regal Rajputani attire.”

Given their success rate at the box-office and their shared affection, it is not surprising that Padukone was the first choice for Bhansali. “He believes that she is his lucky charm. It was an unsaid thing that Deepika and Ranveer will come on board for this film.”
Bhansali says, “I’m happy to bring the story of ‘Padmavati’ to the screen. It was a fitting date for us to launch the first look of the film and celebrate this auspicious occasion.”
