Why is Aamir Khan missing from the highest paid actors list?

The Forbes’ list of the world’s top 20 highest paid actors 2017 was released yesterday. Bollywood makes its presence felt with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in the top 10. Surprisingly, Aamir Khan, whose film Dangal (2016) shattered box office records (it was a big draw in China too), is conspicious by his absence. The list of the highest-paid actors is based on earnings between June 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017.

Earnings estimates are based on data from media measurement and analytics company, box office collections besides interviews with industry insiders. Aamir detests talking about his earnings. Nor does he share details about his accumalated wealth. We assume this is the reason he does not figure in the coveted list.

Salman Khan will not be having Ganpati celebrations at Galaxy this year?

Salman Khan has 3 big banner films coming up and he has been shooting back-to-back for them. From shooting to promoting, as well as hosting Bigg Boss Season 11, Salman has a choc-a-bloc schedule this year. So it was speculated that this year, Salman Khan will not be hosting Ganpati celebrations at his residence in Galaxy apartments. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle Salman has asked his sister Arpita Khan Sharma to keep the Ganapati at her house. This is because she will be present throughout, and Salman has to be out shooting for the rest of the time for Tiger Zinda Hai in UAE. It’s therefore still unclear if one idol will be present at Galaxy Apartments too as well.

“Normally Salman Bhai has Ganapati in his house for three days. We’re not sure how long Arpita will have it at her home. But it will be for three days, and Salman will plan when to come and when to fly back for his shoot. It’s an important juncture of his career, and he wants to do well after Tubelight has not met the expectations. He’d have cancelled his shoot and been in Mumbai any other time, but he cannot do that now,” says the source.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had reportedly agreed to work with her ex-boyfriend and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ which now stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali apparently wrote ‘Padmavati’ script keeping Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in mind. But just like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, he couldn’t make it work as the two had an ugly break-up.

Now, according to Rajeev Masand’s column in Open Magazine, SLB had approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan for ‘Padmavati’ after they parted ways. According to the report, Aishwarya had almost agreed to work with Salman, but on one condition.

The twist was she was ready to work with Salman Khan only if he played the role of Alauddin Khilji, the antagonist in the film. This way, they wouldn’t share any scenes together.

The report stated that Salman Khan refused to agree to this condition. Salman Khan was interested to recreate the magic of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But he wasn’t keen on doing ‘Padmavati‘ without having any scene with Ash.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now cast Deepika Padukone as Padmavati, her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Deepika’s husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

‘Padmavati’ is slated to release on November 11 this year.

Remember how that exquisite car passed by you the other day on the road and you literally took an automatic 180 degree turn with it to watch it as long as you can? Something very similar to that happened when Salman Khan met this social media-famous kid, oh wait, rich kid on 9th August. Talk about being relatable.

Salman Khan is juggling multiple projects at once and planning for a lot more to come. He is currently shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and has also confirmed a cameo in Shahrukh’s Aanand L Rai directorial. People can’t hold their excitement to watch them on big screen together again.

While shooting for the last schedule of Ali Abbas Zafar directorial in Abu Dhabi, he decided to meet a super-rich 15-year-old boy; Rashed Belhasa. He has posts proving the very many meetings he has had with various celebrities and has also appeared in the Vlogs of a well-known YouTuber, Mohamed Beiraghdary with the channel, Mo Vlogs. Rashed shared two clips of their meeting on his Instagram account.

Salman (with the most genuine smile) complimented the boy with the words, “Good going, bro”. Major envies. Also, an important point to discuss is how fit and charming Salman looks in the clips. The songs have been recreated, Karisma and Rambha have been replaced by Taapsee and Jacqueline but since the stakes are high, it is safe to assume that this one won’t disappoint.

The actor had been roped in for Remo D’Souza’s dance drama, Go Daddy, opposite Khan. However, recent developments suggest that the superstar has allotted those dates to Race 3, which is also being helmed by D’Souza. Buzz is that Fernandez may land a role in Race 3 as well.

Talking to mid-day, Jacqueline Fernandez reveals, “I’m doing a film with Salman, but I’m not sure which one. The line-up of the film has changed. Right now the slot is open, and Salman and Remo are debating which film to go ahead with.”

While the script may be the barometer to choose a film on other occasions, the actor says she’ll happily make an exception for Salman Khan. “I’m okay with any of the films as long as I get to work with Salman,” she laughs.

Her fondness for Khan is evident. Having worked with him in Kick (2014), she is glad to share screen space with him again in Judwaa 2, where he will be seen in one of the songs. “Having him on the sets was so amazing. He brings in so much of energy. David sir and Sajid Nadiadwala became nostalgic, it was like a mini reunion. Varun [Dhawan], Taapsee [Pannu] and I just kept listening to their stories.”

Writer, film producer and former actress Twinkle Khanna has lauded her husband and National Award-winning actor Akshay Kumar’s latest entertainer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, saying the Bollywood box-office needed it to break free from constipation.

“Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, which released last week, collected over Rs 13 crore on its opening day.

Twinkle’s post hinted at the lukewarm performance of films like “Jagga Jasoos” and superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jab Harry Met Sejal”.

“Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” is in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to improve sanitation conditions in the country, with an emphasis on the eradication of open defecation, especially in rural areas.

It also features Bhumi Pednekar and Anupam Kher in key roles.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are currently filming the final schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai in Abu Dhabi.

Interestingly, Khan’s rumoured ladylove Iulia Vantur has joined the duo on set and will stay there till the schedule ends in September.

While one would think of an obvious friction between Vantur and Khan’s ex-flame Kaif, they apparently share a close bond. The ladies spend time with each other and chat for hours between shots, we are told.

Jacqueline Fernandez’s film with Salman Khan shelved? Here’s the truth!

salman-khan-jacqueline-fernandez Just yesterday, the rumours started flashing that Salman Khan has kept the movies on hold as he isn’t convinced to play a dancing dad and feels that this role is more suitable for the likes of Varun Dhawan or other younger actors like him.

Jacqueline Fernandez was roped in to play the lead opposite Salman Khan in the dance drama. Today, we got a chance to meet her and in a group interaction with the media, she was asked that has the movie been shelved. Answering on these lines, she said, “The movie hasn’t been shelved. The movie has just been pushed. I think the lineups has been changed around a little bit. So now, we are just trying to figure out what’s going to work that is best for the team that we have existing and see how to move ahead.”

Probe her further, she said, “As far as I am concerned, it is. I know Remo wants to make this film and Salman is very keen. But, I just think just the line ups have changed. There’s been no official announcement on it. Nothing’s been confirmed just yet because people are just trying to figure it out. That’s all I know for now.”

As Salman recommended Varun’s name, the rumours started floating around that the young talented actor might be replacing the Dabangg Khan. When asked about it, Fernandez said, “I don’t know about that. I have no idea about that. It has not been communicated to me.”
