The actress who has her hands filled with varied characters in her upcoming projects will be seen going grey in her ventures. While Radhika Apte plays a RAW agent in Sacred Games, her Hollywood venture The Wedding Guest will feature her as the first female wireless operator during World War II.

Radhika Apte’s characters Anjali Rathod and Noor Inayat Khan for Sacred Games and The Wedding Guest respectively will showcase the tough and rebellious side of the actress. In sync with her characters, Radhika Apte recently shared a black and white picture of her which is sure to add colour to your life.

Known for her remarkable performances in not just Bollywood but also regional spaces across the nation, Radhika Apte always raises the temperature with her sizzling pictures. The immensely talented actress recently shared a monochrome picture looking gorgeous as ever. Sharing a goofy picture from a fun photo shoot, Radhika Apte yet again went monochrome. Donning white formals and a quirky rabbit cap the actress looked sexy and stylish at the same time. On the work front, Radhika Apte is currently gearing up for her film ‘Bazaar’ and web series ‘Sacred Games’ both starring along with Saif Ali Khan along with her Hollywood venture ‘The Wedding Guest’. The actress will also be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Shoot the piano player’.

The upcoming episode of Neha Dhupia’s BFFs with Vogue will see Bollywood besties Rajkummar Rao and Radhika Apte making some sensational revelations on the show to host Neha Dhupia. The promo of the episode got was released on the Instagram handle of Colors Infinity channel.

When Neha Dhupia asked Radhika Apte about her perception in the industry on the upcoming episode of Colors Infinity’s BFFs with Vogue, the PadMan actress had an interesting anecdote to share. She told that people in the industry often look at her as a girl next door and traditional woman which she isn’t much happy about. She has strived to change that image by doing diverse films such as Padman, Bazaar, Bombay Talkies, Netflix in the past year. And she really hopes people’s outlook towards her changes.

The entire episode will go on air on Friday at 8 pm.

In an earlier interview with mid-day, speaking about her upcoming projects, Radhika Apte had said, “I have seven projects coming out and I have done completely different roles in all of them. In PadMan I play a village girl. In Baazaar, I play a girl, who is an extremely successful businesswoman–young, bright and independent. In Sacred Games, I play a RAW agent and in Anurag’s film (international project), I play a young teacher in a metro city. In Sriram Raghavan’s film with Ayushmann Khurrana, I play a very young, cool-vibe girl and in Ghoul (English film) I’ve played a military officer. In Bombairiya I have played a PR agent and all these characters have nothing in common with each other.”

She said, “It was my first day at the shoot and a famous actor down south came on the set and started to tickle my feet.”

Revealing further about the incident, she also stated that she was stunned as they had never met before, her instinct reaction was to slap him! She is a no nonsense girl and won’t think twice to put you in the right place if you mess with her.

She was also recently trolled for uploading a picture of hers in a bikini at the beach on Instagram. To which, she said, “Do they expect me to wear a saree on the beach?”

Radhika Apte may be missing from Padman promotional work as she locks dates for international film with Dev Patel

While Akshay Kumar‘s decision to pre-pone the release of Padman to the Republic Day weekend has averted an expected clash with his other outing, 2.0, the reshuffling has caused havoc for Radhika Apte instead. Apte, who stars in the former, a fictionalised biographical account on social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganatham, will have to skip the promotions owing to her chock-a-block schedule.

She tells mid-day, “I was looking forward to being there to support Padman. Given that it revolves around the subjects of menstrual hygiene, there would have been a lot of ideas tossed around during the promotions. However, I have a big project lined-up, the filming for which will roll this month.” While Apte chooses to remain silent about the venture, she reveals that the international outing pairs her alongside Dev Patel. “I am not sure if I will be in the country when promotional work picks up,” says the actor, further heaping praise on her co-star, Kumar. “Akshay and I come from different schools of thought, but he is more experienced. As co-actors, we learnt from one another. That’s how we created work that was new. I enjoy working with new people.”

While Padman was to hit screens in March, Kumar also has Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 in the pipeline. With production work for the latter underway, Kumar pre-poned the release of his home production to allot time for the sci-fi later.

Radhika Apte wowed the audiences with her performances in 2017. Be it Parched or Phobia, her movies made it to the headlines. Both the films were critically acclaimed and Radhika was bestowed with heaps of positive reviews from the critics and audiences alike.

Radhika Apte spoke exclusively to Mumbai Mirror about her work. Radhika has three films in her kitty currently – Padman, Baazaar and Anurag Kashyap’s Love And Lust which she has also co-written. “Pad Man for me was a start-to-finish schedule. We stayed in Maheshwar for a month and wrapped it up with Akshay working eight hours a day which was amazing. It was all quick. With Baazaar we filmed all over Mumbai, every day we were on the move, and the film took time to complete. With big films you reach more people, that is the only difference.”

Radhika Apte, also confirmed in the same interview that she is going to star in a film with Oscar nominated actor Dev Patel of ‘Slumgdog Millionaire’ fame.

Padman: Akshay Kumar reveals Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte's look

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar unveiled the first look of Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte from their upcoming film ‘Padman’, a socio-drama that focuses on menstruation and women’s health. Inspired by the life of Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who found a way to make affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village, ‘Padman’ is set to release during the Republic Day weekend on January 26, 2018. The film has been written and directed by R. Balki. While sharing Radhika’s look from ‘Padman’ on Twitter, Akshay Kumar wrote, “The REASON he became #PADMAN…find out on 26th January, 2018…” He also shared a picture of Sonam Kapoor from the film and captioned it, “The STRENGTH behind #PADMAN…find out on 26th January, 2018…”

Akshay Kumar sent shock waves in the industry when he announced that his home production, Padman will hit theatres on Republic Day 2018. It was viewed as hara-kiri by many since Rajinikanth’s magnum opus, 2.0, which also stars Kumar as the negative lead, had already booked January 25 for its release.

In an interview to mid-dayas part of the conversation series, Sit with Hitlist, Akshay Kumar finally opened up on the Padman-2.0 debate. When asked if he considers pitting two of his projects against one another a wise move, he said, “There is a lot of false information that is being circulated over both films releasing on the same day. Why would I clash with my own film? It will be either Padman or 2.0.”

Does this imply that Rajini’s mega-budget film will be pushed to a later date? Rumours had suggested that Shankar’s sci-fi drama wouldn’t be able to meet the January 25 deadline as its special effects were not complete. On being probed if 2.0’s release will be postponed, Kumar diplomatically maintained, “While Padman is a film that I have produced, 2.0 belongs to Shankar, Rajinikanth and Lyca Productions. They will decide whether they want to release the film on Republic Day. If they do, I will postpone Padman and if they don’t, I will go ahead.”

The actor added that his decision to advance Padman‘s release from April 13 to R-Day stemmed from the fact that a holiday release is an advantageous business proposition.

Bollywood couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have shared a cute video on their daughter Nitara’s fifth birthday and we bet it is going to make you smile. In the clip, Nitara is seen helping Akshay shave and the father-daughter duo will surely melt your heart. While sharing the video, Akshay Kumar wrote a heartfelt message. He said, “My favourite part of every day…my daughter shaving me at the sink, precious times, priceless moments! Happy Birthday my Princess. One request, please don’t grow up sweetheart.”

Akshay Kumar’s elder son Aarav celebrated his birthday on September 15, while the superstar himself turned 50 on September 9 this year.

On Aarav’s birthday, Akshay Kumar posted a picture of his grown-up son on Instagram. In the caption, Akshay Kumar talked about how he had taught Aarav to climb a tree, and how his son had taught him video calling. He also called Aarav his ‘favoritest human being’.

Akshay Kumar wrote, “From teaching you how to climb a tree, to learning from you how to make a video call…Happy birthday to my favoritest human being.”

For his 50th birthday, Akshay Kumar had received a precious gift from his wife Twinkle Khanna. In an exclusive interview to mid-day, Akshay Kumar revealed among the numerous gifts that he got for his big day, he said the best gift expectedly came from wife Twinkle Khanna. “She presented me two paintings she had commissioned – one, a portrait of me with my daughter [Nitara] and the other with my son [Aarav]. This is what I cherish the most,” he says, being true to the family man that he is.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar returns to the small screen after three years with ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. His last outing was the reality show ‘Dare 2 Dance (2014). He will also be seen in ‘Padman’ alongside Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte.

Kangana Ranaut makes a shocking new revelation about her legal battle with Hrithik Roshan Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan

Her over a decade-long journey in Bollywood has seen many a triumph, including her three National awards, and Kangana Ranaut says if her career ends now, she has nothing to lose as she has a huge success story for the rest of her life.

Kangana, who made her film debut in 2006 with “Gangster”, says during her journey in the film industry, she has been able to discover herself and conquer her fears.

In an interview to PTI, Kangana says, “I have acted upon my fears when I was struggling and trying to discover myself, who I am. But now I feel extremely satisfied with my discovery about myself, my inherent nature, about who I am as a woman and what my tendencies and capabilities are. I left home with none of the knowledge when I was 15 but at the age of 30 I know a lot about me.”

“And there is a sense of accomplishment, I am a three-time National Award winner, I have shattered box office records. Even if my journey ends here right now right, I have nothing to lose. I still have a huge success story in every which ways for the rest of my life.”

Kangana, 31, fails to understand why she should be fearful about anything in life as she is not scared of anyone.

On if she fears not getting work, the actor says she has already achieved more than what she had set out for.

“Why should I be fearful now? When I left home I wanted to be independent, now I am a megastar, I am a household name, I am a woman who knows herself which was the biggest challenge for me. If I am going to be fearful now, I am going to be fearful my entire life.”

Kangana is not worried about her career ending in Bollywood and says she has complete faith in her abilities and knows that she can try her hand in some other profession.

“What is it that this industry can give me? This industry can only take from me, it cannot give me anything. If my journey ends here, then too bad. If it continues, then good for them. I will do something else in some other field. I have a lot of faith in my abilities and I am not scared. I am not enamoured by this world and no one can pull my spirit down.”

Kangana seems to already have a plan in place post her career in Bollywood.

“I have built a beautiful house in Manali and I look forward to spending time there, write books and once in a while direct a film,” she quips.

The actor was embroiled in a controversy with Hrithik Roshan, after she called him her “silly ex” in an interview, followed by the two stars slapping legal notices on each other.

On if she expects a public apology or an admission of their affair from Hrithik, Kangana says, “I have said everything on this matter. This matter was over for me in
2014. It has ended… you can’t do anything about it. It was a fake case. There is nothing to expect from it.”

After her recent appearance on show “Aap Ki Adalat”, where she bared her soul about her relationship with Hrithik, the “Krrish 3” actor’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan came out in his support on social media.

On this, the “Queen” star says, “I don’t want to comment on it as it is none of my business.”

Kangana had also attacked Aditya Pancholi, an unnamed actor’s wife, filmmaker Karan Johar, writer Apurva Asrani, director Ketan Mehta and the Women’s Commission on the show.

Post the candid interview, she was hailed by several women on the social media for taking up on the biggies of the film industry.

“It is for them (women) that I speak. When Karan Johar or Hrithik Roshan say anything about me and when I am shooting, I don’t have time to react. I don’t react for months. And because I am working, I never abandon my character for my personal gains.”

“And whenever I get the time and I meet media, I talk. I am going to speak up for them who care, who write long open letters and write loving stories of faith and women empowerment. I speak for them.”

She insists she does not speak for those people who run her down or accuse her.

“For me they have lost the battle, for me they are losers. But those with undying spirit, who are thriving and surviving, have a collective consciousness, I speak for them.”

Kangana’s next film “Simran”, directed by Hansal Mehta, is set release on September 15.

Saif Ali Khan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui To Be Part Of Netflix's First Indian Star-Studded Series

Many of us miss Saif Ali Khan’s presence on the silver screen. The actor was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s period drama, ‘Rangoon’, which crashed big time at the box office.

Though many criticised the script and the director, Saif’s acting was appreciated by the critics. And for all those who love him, let us tell you, he already has some amazing projects coming our way. So we have his film ‘Kaalakaandi’, ‘Chef’ remake and ‘Bazaar’ coming up, but what has caught everyone’s interest is his web series Sacred Games.

This is Netflix’s first star-studded Indian web-series, which is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name. We will see Saif playing a cop and now even Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are roped in this project.

The news has made us all so excited! After all who wouldn’t want to see a series where we have these three wonderful actors all ready to entertain us. We already saw Nawaz and Radhika’s chemistry on-screen in ‘Manjhi’ and ‘Badlapur’, but we can’t wait to see these three together for the first time.

As per reports, Saif might fall in love but nothing much is revealed about the other two, making everyone more curious about their part. Well, all we can say is that this definitely looks like one hell of a series.
