What if humans could actually be shrunk down to the size of ants? Our increasingly crowded planet would be so much more for us then. Nothing could be a better solution to the problem of space and resources. ‘Downsizing’ is a science fiction comedy-drama and the trailer will leave you feeling irrationally happy about the future!

Starring Matt Damon and directed by Alexander Payne, ‘Downsizing’ is a possible attempt at saving the earth by shrinking its inhabitants. Of course, it has its challenges. The shrinking process is irreversible; you cannot go back to the normal human size.

Matt Damon and Kristen Wiig play a couple toying with the idea of taking the plunge and lessening the burden of the planet. There are the perks, of course – the miniature world has resources in plenty. You live life king-size.

There are a lot of questions that are cropping up though: how will the downsized humans contribute to the society? There is still a huge chunk of population at its normal size. The only service the little humans could provide to the world (until they have shrunk the whole world) is intellectual and digital. Doctors, scientists, accountants, writers, policy makers – only those whose work is not dependent on physical size can probably be converted without becoming a liability. Or like in all science fiction movies with a Noah’s Ark solution – pay a fortune to go to the other side.

Would you choose to be downsized to 5 inches to live a life with unlimited resources? Tell us in the comments section below.

So it turns out that the real life ‘wolf of wall street’, Jordan Belfort actually gave him tips and lessons on how to act high on drugs while filming the famous movie. In an interview, he explained the process of rehearsing. “I showed him what it looks and feel like when you are high on Quaalude. We were both on the floor, drooling. His father walked into the room and asked us what the f*ck we were doing.” Leonardo apparently even had all of it taped on video to rehearse in person and called them ‘lost Jordan tapes”.

The commencement of his career dates back to 1978, when interning at the Great Lakes Theatre Festival in Ohio prompted him to drop out of college and follow his passion instead. During the same time, he earned its reward when Time Magazine named Hanks one of the “Top 10 College Dropouts”.

He never disconnected himself with his work since then. In the following year, though, he worked for low budget projects but later landed one of the lead roles in a TV Series titled ‘Bosom Buddies’. Splash (1984) was his first feature film which surprisingly hit the box office, following which, there was another romantic comedy known as ‘Bachelor Party’ (1984), giving Hanks a career hike.

His roles in ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, ‘You’ve Got Mail’ and ‘A League of their Own’ ensured that Hanks was there to stay. In the 2000’s he proved that he could still keep the audience captivated by his characters in ‘Cast Away’ and ‘The Ladykillers’, which are known to be the two most outlandish roles he ever played. Critics have always applauded his portrayal of character as Jim Lovell in ‘Apollo 13′, his voice over as Woody in ‘Toy Story’ as well as his Oscar-nominated performance as Captain Miller in ‘Saving Private Ryan’.

Our childhood was pretty much sorted, actually great, thanks to some uber cool cars that had the power to transform into gigantic autobots. For those who didn’t get the hint by now, we are talking about our beloved Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Barricade and Megatron. The 2007 American science fiction thriller is etched in our memories for many reasons and yes Megan Fox is a part of it. Having said that, Paramount Pictures has prepared an amazing Christmas present for all you fans out there, something that even Santa can’t gift you – the first ‘Transformers’ spinoff film ‘Bumblebee’. Yes, it’s finally happening and we can’t tell you how excited we are for this. However, what’s more exciting is that WWE Superstar John Cena is going to be a part of star cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, along with John Cena, we’ll see actress Hailee Steinfeld play the lead role of Charlie, an 18-year-old girl who discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee, only to realize it is no ordinary car. The rest of the cast includes names like Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny. The movie is set in the year 1987, in the backdrop of a small California beach town.

Christina Hodson has written the script and Travis Knight is helming this project. After its 2017 release ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ garnered mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike, it will be interesting to see how this spinoff manages to capture their attention. Steven Spielberg will be the executive producer for this film along with Chris Brigham. Remember how we told you that Paramount has prepared a Christmas surprise for us, it seems we’ll have to wait for a year because the movie will release on December 21st, 2018. However, ‘Bumblebee’ has some serious competition ahead of it, since DC Comics’ ‘Aquaman’ starring Jason Momoa is releasing around the same time.
