The next episode of BFFs with Vogue will have the legendary actors Jackie Shroff and Juhi Chawla in a sassy conversation with the host, Neha Dhupia. Very few know that Jackie and Juhi share a very thick bond. Well, we have all seen Jackie Shroff spilling some of his intimate secrets on Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan. It would be interesting to see Juhi Chawla, who has a sweet demeanour, reveal her candid best on talk-show BFFs with Vogue.
In a conversation with Neha Dhupia during a segment called, ‘Scary Spice’ on BFFs with Vogue on Colors Infinity, Juhi Chawla made quite a revelation from her past. Neha, at her best to get the celebrities to spill the beans, asked Juhi, “Your most bitter-rivalry was with which star?” Juhi was extremely hesitant to answer this until Neha toned the question down further and called it a “healthy competition”. To which Juhi smiled and replied saying ‘Madhuri Dixit’.
In the day and age where not everybody openly talks about their rivalries, it’s surprising to see veteran actresses name their rivals from the fraternity. Should the millennial actors be learning this or are is it better to keep it shush?
These 90s actresses were at their peak during their active Bollywood reign. However, they never shared the screen space together back then but it was in 2014 that they did a film Gulaab Gang. This proved that their rivalry was only a thing in the past.
Speaking of Jackie and Juhi, they have done films like Aaina, Shatranj, Bandish, and Gang amongst others.

Juhi Chawla turned a year older yesterday. Age is just a number, so she does not like to reveal how young she is. A greater part of the day was devoted to spring cleaning.

Whatever was not needed was given away. She also paid a visit to kids of the NGO she is associated with, who sang happy birthday to her. She cut a cake with them. Later, she made merry with her besties as her folks were in Vadodara. Juhi, who has done a cameo in Aanand L Rai’s SRK-starrer, prefers to be in Mumbai on her birthday.

Reprising and recreating of old chartbusters is the latest trend in B-town. From ‘Kala Chashma’ to ‘Tamma Tamma’, many 90s hit tracks have been rehashed lately but not every experiment is successful.
Remember those famous lyrics, “Neend churayi meri kisne o sanam….Tu ne”? Well, every kid born in the 90s has grooved to ‘Neend Churai Meri’ from the cult film ‘Ishq’.
Anu Malik’s music, Kumar Sanu, and Udit Narayan’s voice were all that was needed to create a Bollywood hit number during those days. The song not only ruled the music charts for weeks but also become everyone’s favourite song.
And finally, Rohit Shetty has released the reprised version of 90’s hit song in his upcoming flick ‘Golmaal Again’. This is the first time that the same actor is seen in the recreated version of his own song. 20 years ago, this song debuted in the Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Ishq’ and now the same track has been reprised in ‘Golmaal Again’ as ‘Maine Tujko Dekha’. Though, after listening to the new track we wish what happened 20 years ago was left untouched.
Sadly, Rohit and Ajay had a different plan. What Anu Malik created once, has now been crushed by the same hands. Nor do you get Kajol’s and Ajay’s peppy chemistry and neither does the song leaves a real impact. This new track is an utter disappointment and makes you wonder why the track was even remade in the first place.
The song focuses on Parineeti Chopra as Ajay tries to woo her, and I so wish I could say this song didn’t destroy those memories, but I just can’t. Growing up listening to this epic song is one thing that will stay with many kids who were born in 90’s. Even today, when the song comes on, one can’t refrain from grooving to its beats and sing along, exhausting our vocal cords. That was the magic of that cult song!

There is nothing new that this song offers. You are presented with Ajay’s trademark steps and a train to sequence from ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’. It seems like producers these days are hell-bent on ruining every old song.
Ajay and Rohit, congratulations on royally messing up yet another 90’s song.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday issued notice to actor Shah Rukh Khan, asking him to appear on August 23 in a foreign exchange violation adjudication case with alleged undervaluation of shares linked with his Kolkata Knight Riders team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
ED sources said that the notice has been sent to the actor. Khan can present his version personally or through his lawyer before the special director of the ED.
“We will hear what he has to say,” confirmed a senior ED official.
Earlier in March this year, ED had sent a show-cause notice to the actor, his wife Gauri Khan, actress Juhi Chawla in this regard.
According to the ED, M/s. Red Chillies Enterprises Pvt. Ltd (RCEPL) formed a special purpose vehicle M/s. Knight Riders Sports Pvt. Ltd. (KRSPL) in 2008 for the purpose of acquiring IPL franchise rights of the cricket team named Kolkatta Knight Riders.
RCEPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of M/s. Red Chillies International Ltd., Bermuda, is a company owned by SRK and Gauri Khan.
Initially, the entire shareholding of KRSPL was with Red Chillies and Gauri Khan. After the success of IPL, about two crore additional shares were issued by KRSPL out of which 50 lakh shares were issued to The Sea Island Investment Ltd. (TSIIL), Mauritius and 40 lakh shares were issued to Juhi Chawla. These shares were allotted at a par value of Rs10 whereas the actual value of these shares was much higher.
According to ED, Juhi Chawla subsequently sold her 40 lakhs shares to M/s. TSIIL, Mauritius at the par value of Rs10. Thus, M/s. TSIIL was issued 90 lakhs shares at par value while the actual cost of share at the time of issue/sale was ranging between Rs 86 to Rs 99 per share. This has resulted in loss of foreign exchange to the extent of Rs 73.6 crore the government, the ED had claimed.
