Hrithik Roshan has stepped in as a replacement for Ranveer Singh at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Wankhede Stadium on April 7. The Padmaavat star had to bow out due to an injury sustained while playing football.He has been strictly advised by doctors to avoid performing at the opening ceremony of the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season on April 7.

However, a statement on behalf of Ranveer’s spokesperson said that the actor will continue to shoot for his upcoming film “Gully Boy” as per its “shooting schedule which is not physically strenuous since only performance-based talkie scenes are left to be shot.”

Yesterday, Ranveer tweeted, “It’s a labral tear in my left shoulder. I intend to come back strong (sic).” As soon as Ranveer excused himself, the organisers approached Hrithik to get the crowd grooving with his moves.

Headlines were made when it was revealed that Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan will be playing a Math teacher in his upcoming next, a biopic. With the film tracing the real-life journey of Math Genius Anand Kumar, Hrithik Roshan has been filming at real locations.

Sources from the sets shared, “All the locations that we have visited, the news of Hrithik Roshan filming in their vicinity had spread like wildfire. The knowledge that the actor will be playing the role of a teacher has become the talk of the town drawing students in large numbers to the sets. Students from Varanasi educational institutions and the coaching classes of Kota flocked in large number to the sets during the Banaras and Sambhar schedule.”

Overtime Hrithik has made a mark with a number of larger than life characters, roles which showcased his masochism and Greek godly looks, in addition to some emotionally empowering characters.

However with Super 30 Hrithik will be reaching the roots as he will be playing a math teacher on screen for the very first time.

The character takes Hrithik further close to the heart of his audience in the interiors, a testimony of which is already witnessed on the sets of Super 30.

The first look of Super 30 was unveiled recently and showcased Hrithik donning a tanned look with stubble, a stark contrast to his previous screen appearances.

The look and curiosity towards Hrithik’s character have made Super 30 one of the most anticipated films of 2019.

Helmed by Vikas Bahl, Co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Sajid Nadiadwala’s NGE Productions, ‘Super 30’ starring Hrithik Roshan is slated to release on 25th January 2019.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 marks the Bollywood debut of Mrunal Thakur who is all set to play the leading lady in the film. As we all know, Hrithik Roshan will be essaying the role of the Bihari math genius, Anand Kumar in his biopic, Super 30. Hrithik and Mrunal have completed a schedule in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and are currently shooting in Sambhar, Rajasthan.

While talking about her debut Mrunal shared, “It truly feels like a dream come true and the beginning of a special journey. I am extremely excited and grateful to be working with Hrithik, Vikas Bahl, Phantom, and Sajid Nadiadwala for my first Bollywood film.”

Drawing a deep breath, Mrunal added, “Hrithik is such an inspiration. Just observing him on the set has taught me so much. The way he works is not just for himself, he is a team player and is so giving. I am absolutely loving each day of the shoot. I am so comfortable shooting with Hrithik. He is humble and dedicated, and that makes me want to give my 200 percent.”

Super 30 will showcase Hrithik in a never seen before avatar, playing a Bihari for the first time in his career.

The actor wrapped shooting for the first schedule of the film in Banaras and recently shot for a part of the film in Sambhar, Rajasthan.

Taking the Roshan family’s love for fitness to a new level, Hrithik’s niece Suranika Soni has launched a food delivery service, offering healthy meals on order. Rakesh Roshan’s granddaughter has been creating home-cooked meals under the banner Suranika’s Healthy Kitchen, which hopes to offer those watching their weight “all the flavours, without the guilt”.

She is daughter to Sunaina Roshan, who recently came under the spotlight for shedding oodles of weight. Her line has burgers, grilled foods and even desserts. Sunarika, 21, a student of Whistling Woods International, tells mid-day, “I cook the meals after returning from college, I come from classes. As of today, I cook meals from a set menu, which I keep adding to. Most people feel healthy food is boring and bland. I want to break that notion. Dieting need not be boring, restricting and tasteless. You can enjoy healthy food too.”

Sunarika has tied up with select food delivery services to deliver her meals. Hrithik, evidently proud of his niece’s endeavours, says, “Fitness enthusiasts are constantly searching for healthy, but tasty options. I had no idea that Suranika was working so hard. I am proud of her.”

On Tuesday, Hrithik Roshan was spotted shooting for Anand Kumar’s biopic – Super 30 in Jaipur, directed by Vikas Bahl. The actor was shooting in the scorching afternoon heat. He was seen selling papads on a bicycle, as he drove the vehicle in the villager avatar wearing a cotton shirt and brown pants. His rugged look has drove his fans crazy. He is portraying mathematician Anand Kumar in the upcoming biopic.

Talking about the biopic, Anand Kumar had said earlier in an interview with mid-day, “Both Hrithik and Vikas have kept me in the loop. They want to make the story as authentic as possible. They have taken a lot of research material from me. Vikas has promised that I will be consulted at every point during the research and writing process. I’m satisfied with the way it’s shaping up,” he says.

While he has had several takers for his biopic, Kumar is certain that Roshan is the best choice to bring his story on screen. “I understand that Hrithik cannot look like me, but that is not the point of the film. He wants to embrace the spirit of my story,” he says, adding that the actor will undergo a few months’ training before the project goes on floors.

Talking about being the subject of a Bollywood film, he says, “I was skeptical about giving out my story to anyone, but Vikas really convinced me. I could see their drive at creating something unique.”

One might suspect that his skepticism was a case of once bitten, twice shy – Anurag Basu had committed to make a film based on him, only to back out without even informing him. Reflecting on it, Kumar says, “I was hurt, but it has worked out for the best. I’m hopeful that this team will do more justice. I wanted my story to go in the right hands.”

Television actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen opposite Hrithik in this film.

Hritik Actor Hrithik Roshan says he is the biggest fan of his uncle and music composer Rajesh Roshan.

Hrithik, who was attending “Roshan Se Roshan Tak” — a musical journey of Roshan family, said: “Today, in this musical concert, I am the happiest person because I am the biggest fan of my chacha (uncle) in the entire world. My uncle looks very sweet and humble but he has the energy of a tiger when it comes to creating music.”

He said he helped Rajesh with the song “Tere jaisa yaar kahan” from the film “Yaarana” starring Amitabh Bachchan.

“In my childhood days, I remember, I never used to stay away from him (Rajesh Roshan). I used to sleep in my uncle’s room and bathe in his bathroom. Sometimes, he used to come to me and ask me about his own composition for final selection,” he said.

Hrithik added: “I clearly remember one incident when my uncle was recording music for ‘Yaarana’. That time also he asked me for advice to finalise the composition. So till date, I feel very proud that I have a little contribution in the making of my favourite song ‘Tere jaisa yaar kahan’ from ‘Yaarana’.”

Hrithik attended the event along with his father Rakesh Roshan, Rajesh Roshan, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Sudesh Bhosle on Saturday here.

The “Bang Bang!” star feels very fortunate that he was born into a family where music is an integral part their lives.

Rajesh Roshan said that the “Roshan Se Roshan Tak” was a tribute to their father and legendary music composer Roshan, who has given songs like “Laaga chunari mein daag” and “Rahein na rahein hum”.

Hrithik’s father Rakesh added: “Our father has left so much fragrance through his music that I feel still it is around us. When he passed away I was 16 years old and Rajesh was 12 years of age.

“I would like to see our fourth generation also carry forward this legacy of Roshan saab and all this happened because of love and support from the audience and blessings of god.”

Asked about his upcoming projects, Rajesh said: “We are starting our family film (‘Krrish 4’), so it will take some time because we are now in the process of finalizing things and very soon I will start work for that film.”

Hrithik Roshan to be seen in another superhero film

hrit It has been quite a few years now that Hrithik has done any superhero film after Krrish 3. However, the actor will be seen in Krrish 4 but, currently, the makers are working on the script. But, not too far, Roshan will be seen in one more superhero film that will be helmed by Rohit Dhawan.

A source revealed to the daily, “Rohit and Hrithik know each other well and had been planning to work together for quite some time. When Rohit got the basic idea of the film, he bounced it off to Hrithik who liked it a lot and asked him to develop the story at the earliest. Once the final script is in place, Hrithik will work out the modalities and sign on the dotted line. As of now, he’s okayed it verbally.”

Rohit is said to go all out for the movie and will see to it that the VFX and CGI are at par with Hollywood superhero movie. The movie will be backed by Sajid Nadiadwala who had produced Rohit’s Dishoom as well.

Regarding the schedule and the release date, the source continued, “Hrithik begins Super 30 now. Then, he will move on to Siddharth Anand’s film, which features Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. He starts shooting for it around April next year and will wrap it by October end. Rohit’s movie will happen simultaneously as the makers want to release it in 2019.”

Meanwhile, talking about Super 30, the biopic is based on ace mathematician Anand Kumar and is being helmed by Vikas Bahl and is slated to release on November 23, 2018.

On the occasion of the 50th death anniversary of legendary music director Roshan Lal Nagrath, grandson Hrithik Roshan shared a heartfelt note on Twitter yesterday.

Though he passed away before the actor was born, Hrithik’s warm post reflects the respect he had for the composer. The actor also shared a snapshot of his grandpa.
