SRK-dancing-on-a-mashup-of-Shah Rukh Khan has already begun shooting for his next film with Aanand L Rai. The actor will be seen playing a midget in the movie that also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

We had already told you earlier that SRK’s team at Red Chillies VFX is working on the special effects of the film and will be using the same technology as was used in Hollywood movies like The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit. This is surely going to change the use of technology in Indian cinema.

Now, if latest reports are to be believed then Shah Rukh will also be seen dancing on a hit song of Shashi Kapoor in the film. A MidDay report suggests that the film will have a special revisited version of Shashi Kapoor’s popular track Humko Tum Pe Pyar Aaya. A source close to the film’s development informed the tabloid, “SRK will be seen dancing to the classic from Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965). It’s an amusing sequence.”

shah-rukh-anushkaAs promised Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer is not going to walk down the beaten path for the promotions of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The makers are releasing mini trailers that would give us a personal sneak peek into the lives of Harry and Sejal.

The first such short clip saw Shah Rukh’s character Harry tell Anushka’s character Sejal how he looked at women in a lecherous manner and the second one saw Sejal reading him the content of an indemnity bond in case the two do indulge in any ‘sexual interaction’ with each other.

While the two trails had raised enough curiosity for the film, the third one is also out now and perhaps is the most interesting one of the lot.

In the video, Harry seems extremely irritated in Sejal’s presence as he expresses his frustration in Punjabi, with the latter just looking at him helplessly.

While Harry is all Punjabi, Sejal is also seen calling him ‘A1 character’ in the typical Gujarati accent.

She also tells him she won’t leave without the ring, revealing perhaps why the film was tentatively titled ‘The Ring’ earlier.

The film helmed by Imtiaz Ali is one of its kind and sees two people from different worlds collide. The story revolves around their journey across Europe. The highlight of this trailer and the film is the search for Sejal’s engagement ring. Amidst so much drama, this is also the story of their new found freedom, security, solace, love and paying heed to the inner voice.

The Imtiaz Ali film is set to hit the screens on August 4, 2017.

“I’m thrilled to get a chance to do this so early on in my career. And I couldn’t have found a better project than ‘NH10’ to kick-start this new phase in my film journey,” Anushka said in a statement.

The film will be directed by Navdeep Singh post his critically acclaimed debut “Manorama Six Feet Under”.

“NH10” is an action thriller about a road trip gone wrong.

Veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor feels comfortable working in a film, as it gives him ample time to work on his character.

Cinema more satisfying than TV: Pankaj Kapoor (© Varinder Chawla)

Mumbai: Pankaj Kapoor, who was part of trendsetting shows like ‘Karamchand’, says that he consciously moved away from television about a decade ago because the medium was changing and that working in films is far more satisfying.

“About eight to nine years back, I decided not to do television actively because I felt the face of television was changing and someone like me would not be able to relate to the kind of work that is done today,” Pankaj told us.

“Also, I felt that it was straining and tiring because you had long hours of work and whatever you did was lost in 20 minutes,” he added.

A movie, on the other hand, gives an actor ample time to work on his character, says the 58-year-old, who has been a part of shows like ‘Zabaan Sambhal Ke’, ‘Office Office’ and ‘Mohandas B.A.L.L.B.’, besides ‘Karamchand’.

“Your work as an actor (in TV) is almost as much as you do for any film. Films are made… within lesser hours and you get more time to research and work on your character. It is a lot more satisfying experience because whether the film does well or not, at some point it will be seen by various people in various kinds of medium,” he said.

Nevertheless, he is still open to small screen projects.

“I am open to the medium of TV as an actor, though not with the kind of face television has right now. But if there is something which is different in which the director and actor are given the independence that is required, then I will do it.

“If worst comes to worst and it becomes a matter of survival, I am being very honest about it, I might have to look into it,” said the actor, whose directorial debut ‘Mausam’ failed to evoke expected box-office response.

Asked if he would like to revive any of his old TV series, Pankaj said: “I don’t like repeating what I have done before, so it depends… If I am not doing anything and the script has really something nice and juicy and has a challenge for me, then I might consider it.”

Versatility is something he would like to maintain throughout his career.

“Even at this stage of my life, I am looking at doing more roles and different parts where I can create different people. My goal as an actor is to create different people and to interpret them for my audiences,” he said.

The repertoire of Pankaj, a National School of Drama alumnus, includes successful plays, films and TV shows. He will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, in which he has kept up his reputation of giving the audience something new every time.

The movie, featuring young talents like Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma, will hit the screens on January 11, 2013.
