Sonakshi Sinha has lost oodles of weight, and that’s no cakewalk! The actress has literally given her blood and sweat to acquire the toned physique that she is breathing in. Sonakshi keeps posting her workout videos and yoga videos on her Instagram account to connect with her followers. The beautiful diva is currently gearing up for her release, ‘Welcome to New York’ – a comedy caper and is on a promotional spree for her film.

However, it’s her drastic transformation that has everyone hooked on her amazing fashion sense. From wearing comfy sports attire with sass to pairing up semi off-shoulder pant suits, the ‘Dabangg’ girl is slaying it with her quirky yet elegant persona.

With a mustard-coloured formal pantsuit and black pumps, she looked classy. She accentuated her look with round earrings and kept her.

At one of the reality shows, India’s Next Superstar, she chose to wear a black sequenced jumpsuit with a low ponytail and kept it minimal with nude make-up.

In another round of the promotions, she was seen wearing this powdered-blue suit, which complimented the actress.

Sonam Kapoor shared a stunning photo of her cousin Mohit Marwah’s grand wedding that took place on Tuesday in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE. The photo has Mohit and his bride Antara walking hand-in-hand while they make a grand entry to the wedding venue.

The Neerja actress wrote a beautiful caption to describe her emotions for brother Mohit and friend-turned-sister-in-law Antara. She wrote, “When your brother gets married to your oldest friend! Antu you were always family and now it’s legal! I love you guys! Bhaiya you are the kindest and sweetest person in our big Punjabi family and you deserve all the happiness the universe can provide! Have the best life #antumoh and I’m so excited for this new journey to begin for both of you!”

Mohit is Boney, Anil and Sanjay Kapoor’s nephew. Snapshots from the wedding have gone viral, which was attended by Sridevi and daughter Khushi, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Aarti Shetty, Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan. Sonam Kapoor was spotted with beau Anand Ahuja. Will the next big fat destination wedding in the Kapoor khandaan will be of Sonam and Anand?

Amidst the wedding celebrations, Sonam took a break and went on to enjoy at the beach with rumoured beau Anand Ahuja. There were also rumours of Sonam and Anand getting engaged there. However, the rumour was later quashed by uncle Sanjay Kapoor.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are now married.

After treating their fans with glimpses from their haldi, mehendi and sangeet ceremony, the couple has finally tied the knot in the traditional Muslim culture. The wedding took place in Bhopal, Shoaib’s hometown. Shoaib wore a traditional soft pink-coloured sherwani with golden dupatta, while Dipika opted for a dark pink lehenga and heavy jewellery. The couple looks gorgeous and happy.

Dipika and Shoaib, popularly known as ‘Shoaika’ found love while shooting for their show Sasural Simar Ka, where they played husband and wife. The two have now sworn in as husband and wife off-screen. Their wedding festivities, from the couple’s romantic photoshoot in ‘Sarson Ka Khet’ on a tractor, gave us a déjà vu from Shah Rukh Khan’s popular films, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Veer Zara.

Rajeev Nigam, who can be seen in the show Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai, says that Johny Lever, known for his perfect comic timing, inspired him to be a comedian as he “is very honest in his performances”. The show is a political satire which showcases a corrupt politician, Chaitu Lal in his madcap world. The story revolves around a few politicians in the nation who make promises and never deliver and are unapologetic about going to any extent to gain power.

Rajeev, who has featured in episodes of the comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, said in a statement: “When we think of comedy, we think of Johny Lever. He has been in the industry for 40 years now and has not only made audiences laugh, but made them roll on the floor with incessant laughter through his performances in films and on television.”

“Johny Lever inspires me to be a comedian because he is the best at what he does and is very honest in his performances,” he added.

It marks the first time that a GenNext Bollywood A-lister like Anushka has sought to give this genre its due. Right from its first look, to the posters, screamers and the trailer, Pari has reminded us of the arresting quality of international cinema; decidedly pushing us into a nightmare that is becoming more terrifying as the film gets closer to its release date.

Taking the Roshan family’s love for fitness to a new level, Hrithik’s niece Suranika Soni has launched a food delivery service, offering healthy meals on order. Rakesh Roshan’s granddaughter has been creating home-cooked meals under the banner Suranika’s Healthy Kitchen, which hopes to offer those watching their weight “all the flavours, without the guilt”.

She is daughter to Sunaina Roshan, who recently came under the spotlight for shedding oodles of weight. Her line has burgers, grilled foods and even desserts. Sunarika, 21, a student of Whistling Woods International, tells mid-day, “I cook the meals after returning from college, I come from classes. As of today, I cook meals from a set menu, which I keep adding to. Most people feel healthy food is boring and bland. I want to break that notion. Dieting need not be boring, restricting and tasteless. You can enjoy healthy food too.”

Sunarika has tied up with select food delivery services to deliver her meals. Hrithik, evidently proud of his niece’s endeavours, says, “Fitness enthusiasts are constantly searching for healthy, but tasty options. I had no idea that Suranika was working so hard. I am proud of her.”

Dipika and Shoaib, popularly known as ‘Shoaika’ have appeared in a dance reality show together. This is Dipika’s second marriage. Earlier, she was married to her long-term boyfriend Raunaq Samson which went kaput.

It was on Saturday that the television couple left for Bhopal via train with their respective families and friends.

The next episode of BFFs with Vogue will have Arora sisters – Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora Ladakh in a candid conversation with sassy host Neha Dhupia. In the promo released today, Malaika adviced Kareena to stop gossiping. Yes, you heard that right! In a segment of the show, wherein you have to complete the sentences made by Neha, Malaika was asked to complete the statement, ‘Kareena Stop Doing…’ and she immediately said, “Kareena, stop gossiping.”

Amrita, Malaika, and Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor are close friends and their girl squad is always seen partying with each other. As she kicks off 2018 with a hit, Sonam Kapoor on teaming up with Anil Kapoor after a decade in Bollywood and being in a ‘happy space’ professionally

“It has taken me 10 years to work with my father,” says Sonam Kapoor, overjoyed to be sharing screen space with Anil Kapoor in Shelly Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The actor recalls watching him enact scenes when she would visit his film set as a child, never pausing to think that she would share the frame with him someday.

Having already shot for a week in Patiala, Sonam says of her father-cum-co-star, “I’m more excited than nervous to be working with him. We never interacted in a professional capacity, not even during the shoot of our productions Khoobsurat (2014) or Aisha (2010).”

Considering the years of experience Anil brings with him, one can’t help but wonder if he gives her advice after a shot or helps her better a scene. “My father is never critical of me. My mother is [critical], but not him. He thinks Rhea [Kapoor, sister] and I are the best, and loves the way we handle our work. Dads are usually like that with their daughters,” she smiles.

The opportunity to perform with her father aside, Sonam has much to cheer about — her latest outing, Pad Man, has set the cash registers ringing. But the actor says that success, to her, isn’t just about box-office numbers. “To me, it’s the satisfaction of a job well done. Not many people get to live their passion. I have that privilege and have never taken it for granted. It is an amazing experience to be someone else for the camera, to make someone else’s mistakes, and empathise with their joys and sorrows. I am in a happy space currently.”

She insists that her championing the cause of menstrual hygiene doesn’t end with the film’s release. “I’m grateful to the viewers for coming out in such numbers to watch a film based on a subject that is considered a taboo in India. It signifies that we are ready to talk about things that have not been easy to discuss for ages. That is what movies do. If my voice can bring attention to a cause, I will gladly use it.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets Shah Rukh, Aamir at Mumbai bash; discusses how his country can be favourable spot for Hindi films’ shoot

A prominent room in Colaba’s The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel bustled with happy faces that had collected to meet Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday evening. Even though the gathering — that saw the presence of top business leaders too — was limited in its star power, the presence of Shah Rukh Khan was enough. The ever-so-charming Khan, we hear, was humbled by Trudeau’s warmth, as the two discussed how cinematic ties between the two countries could be improved.

A sherwani-clad Trudeau, accompanied by wife Sophie Gregoire and kids, Xavier James and Ella-Grace, was also greeted by Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher and Farhan Akhtar. A guest present at the bash tells mid-day, “Trudeau seemed curious about the Hindi film industry and had some knowledge about it. He conversed with SRK and Aamir, and enquired how Canada could become a favourable hub for shooting Bollywood films.”

A lavish offering of food from across the globe — comprising sushi, pastas and risottos — supplemented a desi spread. But fitness-freak Trudeau and Sophia were apparently apprehensive of digging in. “His kids enjoyed the spread, especially the Indian desserts, with the rabdi being an instant hit. But, the PM and his wife were selective with what they tried.”

Model Alankrita Sahai, who was also present at the do, says, “I am glad that I met Trudeau. Having followed his campaigns since 2015, I was happy to notice that, in real life, he is exactly how he showcases himself to be.”
