Looks like Anushka Sharma has mastered the art of being the best wife ever in a short span of time. Despite being busy with shooting for Anand L Rai’s ‘Zero’, she had her priorities sorted.

Be it standing by her husband and rooting for him during a match or even cheering on for his team, she is always there for hubby Kohli in whatever way possible. And that’s exactly what she did this time as well.

Virat and Anushka possess the rare ability to give us couple goals even when they are not together. Remember how Virat made Anushka’s birthday special. Or when Virat dedicated his win to his wife?

On one hand, Anushka is shooting along with Shah Rukh Khan in the US and on another hand, Virat is busy leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore at IPL 2018. But despite the distance, they seem to be rooting for each other strongly.

However, last month everyone was left in confusion when the couple decided to call it quits and break up. While many rumours floated explaining the cause of this sad ending, it was believed that Cena wanted Bella to sign some crazy 75 page contract before she moved in with him. Like a sore thumb, ever since the breakup, John has been pretty vocal about how he still loves her. Last night on national TV, in a chat show, he expressed his heart break in elaborate ways.

Festivities continue for Sonam Kapoor Ahuja. Barely a week after her wedding, the actor travelled to France to be part of the Cannes Film Festival. She landed at the French Riviera yesterday, and attended a gala dinner hosted by the NGO, Positive Planet Foundation.

A source close to her tells mid-day, “Sonam was the guest of honour at the gala, which included a contemporary art auction orchestrated by renowned Swiss art collector Simon De Pury. The proceeds of the auction will go towards the NGO’s programmes for women’s empowerment in Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and priority neighbourhoods in France.”

Since this year marks the NGO’s 20th anniversary, Kapoor donated an outfit from her personal collection and had dinner with the highest bidder. “Since the NGO has done inspiring work for the last 20 years, I wanted to support and encourage them to undertake more noble endeavours [to alleviate female poverty],” says the actor, who returns to India on May 17.

When contacted, Jacques Attali, president, Positive Planet Foundation, says that they decided to have Kapoor as the guest of honour because of the impactful roles she’s done in films. “She has managed to bring colourful and unforgettable characters to life. She is an inspiring, engaging and positive personality. We were honoured to have her.”

The anticipation around Race 3 trailer, which will be unveiled today, is but natural. It has been learnt that the promo of the Salman Khan starrer will be dominated by action sequences. Says a source, “It was decided by Salman and the makers that the trailer will include high-octane fight sequences. It was only after Salman gave a thumbs up to the cut shown to him last week that the makers decide to launch the trailer today.”

The source adds that Salman Khan has picked the pivotal scenes shot during each schedule. “Salman and Jacqueline shot a chase sequence in the forests of Thailand. While the sequence has made the cut, the promo also offers sneak peeks into the stunts that were shot in Abu Dhabi and Mumbai.” Producer Ramesh Taurani says, “It’s a superb trailer, you’ll see Salman in a never-seen-before avatar.”

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ is an amazing show, you don’t need to take my word for it, you just have to watch it once to realize it. You know how some people think that you can’t be funny without cracking sexist, homophobic or transphobic ‘jokes’ and you just need to ‘lighten up’ if you get offended at those? Well, these people need to watch this show to see how great comedy can be when it’s so unproblematic and ‘awake’. (you would get this reference if you watch the show)

With all the characters having their own interesting personalities to the writing being so hilarious, this is the perfect show to unwind with after a hard day. But, for some reason, the network it was on – Fox – didn’t realize how much people actually loved it and they went ahead and cancelled it after just five seasons while so many stupid and unfunny shows have gone on for a decade (I’m looking at you ‘The Big Bang Theory’). But their loss was someone else’s gain and after immense online support, which included several celebrities like Mark Hamill and Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show will be back for at least another season. Yay!

And, today I want to celebrate this incredible news with all the times this show made me laugh and all the reasons I’m so happy it’s coming back for at least another year. Also because it’s the most precious and inclusive show out there and it deserves all the love and recognition.
