And now the girl is all set to make her Bollywood debut with filmmaker and choreographer Remo D’Souza. She turned out to be the lucky one and managed to get an offer from Remo himself who plans to work with her soon.

‘Race 3’ team just visited Bigg Boss 11 house to promote their film. Jacqueline Fernandez and director Remo interacted with the contestants and even played some games with them. Later, Remo asked Sapna to perform and was quite impressed with her moves. He promised Sapna that he will work with her in future. First, she was taken aback by the offer but later couldn’t control her happiness. After all, this was a dream-come-true situation for her.

Well, we bet her fans are excited about her Bollywood debut as well. And it goes without saying that she will raise the temperature on the silver screen for sure.

Even before his maiden Bollywood debut sees the light of the day, Ishaan has earned a fabulous reputation for his work. He has been awarded with the ‘best actor’ at the International Bosphorus Film Festival.

This is Istanbul’s most prestigious film festival and it surely is a big deal. Ishaan plays the character of a slum dweller in the movie and the lead actress with him is Malvika Mohan.

Akshay Kumar has been teasing his fans with a glimpse of ‘PadMan’ and finally he has shared the second poster of the film that has created a major buzz in B-town. Well, Khiladi Akshay Kumar just knows how to impress his fans. ‘PadMan’, even before its release, is making quite some noise because the film talks about the least-talked about issue in our country. It would be interesting to see how the story rolls out as the film talks about the subject that is considered a taboo in various parts of India.

Race 3: Saqib Saleem's stunt goes horribly wrong, shoot stalled in Mumbai

Meanwhile, Salman Khan has now trained his focus on his next actioner, Race 3. The film’s shoot came to a halt at Mehboob Studios in Bandra recently when Saqib Saleem was injured while filming an action scene with Khan. A source reveals, “Saqib suffered a deep gash on his hand when one of his stunts went horribly wrong. Salman immediately called for his doctor on the set and had him examine Saqib’s injuries. The actor got two stitches on his arm.” The source adds that the shooting resumed after few hours.”

The poster has a tagline that reads, ‘Super hero hai yeh pagla’. While sharing the ‘Padman’ poster, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Super hero hai yeh pagla, aa raha hai 26th January, 2018 ko: #PadMan! (sic).” ‘Padman’ is a socio-drama that focuses on menstruation and women’s health. Inspired by the life of Coimbatore-based Arunachalam Muruganantham, who found a way to make affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village, ‘Padman’ is set to release during the Republic Day weekend on January 26, 2018. The film has been written and directed by R. Balki.

Akshay Kumar sent shock waves in the industry when he announced that his home production, Padman, will hit theatres on Republic Day 2018. It was viewed as hara-kiri by many since Rajinikanth’s magnum opus, 2.0, which also stars Kumar as the negative lead, had already booked January 25 for its release.

In an interview to mid-dayas part of the conversation series, Sit with Hitlist, Akshay Kumar finally opened up on the Padman-2.0 debate. When asked if he considers pitting two of his projects against one another a wise move, he said, “There is a lot of false information that is being circulated over both films releasing on the same day. Why would I clash with my own film? It will be either Padman or 2.0.”

Does this imply that Rajini’s mega-budget film will be pushed to a later date? Rumours had suggested that Shankar’s sci-fi drama wouldn’t be able to meet the January 25 deadline as its special effects were not complete. On being probed if 2.0’s release will be postponed, Kumar diplomatically maintained, “While Padman is a film that I have produced, 2.0 belongs to Shankar, Rajinikanth and Lyca Productions. They will decide whether they want to release the film on Republic Day. If they do, I will postpone Padman and if they don’t, I will go ahead.”

The actor added that his decision to advance Padman‘s release from April 13 to R-Day stemmed from the fact that a holiday release is an advantageous business proposition.

IFFI 2017: S Durga censored version gets nod for jury screening

After being dropped from Goa fest line-up, censored version of S Durga to screen tomorrow at IFFI

After the controversy that ensued following the Information and Broadcasting Ministry’s decision to drop S Durga from the line-up of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the censored version of the film will be screened for the jury today. The development was confirmed yesterday by a jury member of the festival’s Indian Panorama section. “We have been informed by IFFI that the film will be screened at 6 pm on Monday,” the jury member reportedly said.

The screening for the 10-member panel will be held at the festival grounds in Panaji. The jury will apparently decide whether the film will be screened for viewers or not after they watch it. The festival concludes on Tuesday. The Sanal Kumar Sasidharan-directed project was dropped from the screening schedule of the festival’s 48th edition. After Sasidharan petitioned the Kerala High Court, the court directed IFFI to screen the film, after a censored version of the movie was screened for the jury.

Arjun Rampal on turning 46: Now I like my life calm

There’s no noisy birthday party for Arjun Rampal, who turned 46 on Sunday. The actor says he has walked enough on the “wild side” and prefers a calm life with a “rock-steady family life and an adventurous career”. “It’s just around 30 close friends, meeting up having a good time together. Nothing else,” Arjun said of his party plans.

“After you reach a certain age, you no longer want to indulge in wild parties. You just want to be with close family and friends. I’ve seen enough of that life. I’ve walked on the wild side. Now I like my life calm. Spending time with my wife and two daughters gives me a bigger high than anything else,” he added. At 46, what are Arjun’s thoughts on his life and life according to Bollywood’s rules?

“Do I have to be reminded of my age? But seriously, I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ve a rock-steady family life and a career that is known for being adventurous. As far as the film industry is concerned, I see a lot of intolerance within the industry and from outside the film industry towards actors, filmmakers and our work. “This is very frightening. We must stop pre-judging art before the artiste puts forward his idea to the public.”

On the career front, Arjun’s last release was his ambitious biopic on Arun Gawli. “‘Daddy’ got me what I wanted. It was meant to be a reasonably-budgeted film showing us a side to Gawli not seen before. My performance was appreciated. Everybody went home happy.” Arjun’s next release is J.P. Dutta’s “Paltan”, a war movie which the actor is thoroughly enjoying shooting.

“It’s my first time with J.P. Dutta and also my first war movie. I’ve always enjoyed films of that genre, especially J.P. saab’s ‘Refugee’ and ‘Border’. I am glad to be in one,” he added. After that, Arjun goes into a film called “Nastik”, which as the name tells, is about an atheist.

“In real life too I don’t believe in God. I believe in worshipping the Universe. The film has an interesting script and the director Shailesh Varma is very talented. It is important to work with the new enthusiastic talent. That’s the only way to take the industry forward.”
