You just can’t forget ‘Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali’ from ‘Big Bang Theory’ with his god-awful sweater vests and a naive yet kind heart. Portrayed by Kunal Nayyar, Raj’s character is just too hard to ignore. Raj is one of the five main characters to appear in every episode. For people who don’t know much about his character, Raj is Howard Joel Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) best friend, the two have an amazing on-screen presence and their bromance is hysterically awesome. However, at times things do take an awkward turn due to his metrosexuality.

Well, Kunal recently made a brief appearance on the ‘Ellen Show’ and the discussion the two had is already making waves thanks to its hilarious content.

When an actor appears on Ellen DeGeneres’ show you know what to expect. Fun, embarrassing moments, intimate topics and of course, pure insanity. And that’s exactly how Kunal and Ellen’s conversation went down.

From him admitting that he waves to literally anyone….even if he has no idea who they are, to his religious commitment to eating, the entire episode was filled with moments that leave you in splits.

However, what grabbed our attention was when the two started talking about the festival of lights. The actor went on to explain how Diwali is celebrated in India and what people usually do during those days.

He told her about ‘Choti Diwali’ and explained, “It’s like small Diwali and then today is the actual Diwali. People start partying a week before.”

Ellen even asked him if people eat or drink a certain item to which Kunal said, “No just alcohol and food.”

The concept of partying way before the actual festival began left Ellen feeling considerably jealous as she said, “You should have a small holiday before a big one, why don’t we have one before the big one?”

And later she came up with an epic idea of having Thanksgiving in Diwali style. Well, that’s an interesting take. The two are so natural and spontaneous that you can’t get enough of them.

This clip is still trending on 49th position in YouTube and just within few days has got over 3,70,000 views.

And what makes their on-screen chemistry even more special is Karan Johar’s touch, as the ace director filmmaker knows all the right spots to bring out the best from them on camera.

The earlier feud between Karan and Kajol broke many hearts; after all, they were besties. But the duo has patched up and we could not be happier. And if reports are to be believed, KJO and Kajol have even sealed a deal over a film. We are flying already!

Talking to a leading daily, a source close to Dharma Production revealed that Kajol is definitely part of his next project. Not many know this, but since the start of his career, KJO made a promise to himself that she will be a part of all his films.

However, that pact was broken when ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ was released and sure we saw SRK, but no sign of our beloved Kajol. But now that all is well between the two, get ready to see Kajol in Karan’s next.

Adding more to our excitement is the fact that King Khan will be seen opposite Kajol, at least that’s what the director plans to do.

Akshay Kumar's Diwali Gift to 103 Families of Brave Martyrs Will Win Your Heart

Diwali this year became memorable for the families of 103 slain policemen and Army personnel. While many in B-town were busy enjoying the festive season in their own way, Akshay Kumar came up with a special gesture and brought a sliver of light and joy to the families who lost their beloved ones. 

Akki who is often known for his generosity especially towards defence personnel, joined an initiative by a senior IPS officer and contributed Rs 25 lakh for this wonderful cause. The officials came up with a list of martyred soldiers and when Akshay learned about this, he decided to join hands and make a difference.

“Akshay recently sent me a photograph of a small girl weeping beside the coffin of her father. When I broached the subject of helping the slain policemen’s families, the actor promptly decided to chip in. We are happy that our initiative has made the Diwali of the martyrs’ families sweeter,” said Kolhapur range IGP Vishwas Nangre Patil to PTI. 

He not only sent a cheque but also a signed letter for each family, making the gesture all the more thoughtful and personal.

In the heartfelt letter, he talked about the sacrifice made by the martyrs for our nation, “I am aware that you must be recalling their lovely memories during Diwali. The tragedy that has befallen your family is immense and I pray to god that you overcome this tragedy with fortitude and usher in the new year. I wish to offer sweets and a small gift for the children to buy books. I request you to accept them,” he wrote. 

However, this isn’t the first time Akshay has done something like this. Even after Uri terror attacks, he went on to donate Rs 5 lakh to every family of the martyrs.

He is a true inspiration. More respect to you Akki. We need more people with golden hearts like yours.

'Student Of The Year' sequel put on backburner?

Karan Johar announced a sequel to Student Of The Year (2012) over a year ago. To be helmed by Punit Malhotra, it stars Tiger Shroff.

In the last few days, KJo has been making announcements galore about his upcoming productions, which include Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan and Kesari with Akshay Kumar. There has been silence on the Student Of The Year 2 front.

It was said that Punit was reworking the script. Names of several star kids like Jahnvi Kapoor did the rounds, besides Tiger’s rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani as probable female actors. Nothing moved on the front and now there’s buzz that it has been put on the backburner.
