Richa Chadha Might Star In Her Own 'Dirty Picture' As Malayalam Adult Star Shakeela
Richa Chadha is perhaps one of the most under-rated actresses in Bollywood. From ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’ to ‘Fukrey’, she has tried her hand at different roles and has always excelled at whatever she does. And once again, her bold personality will come to the forefront as she is all set to play the role of adult actress Shakeela.
Fuzzy Hun main. Fuzzy Hun main. Mujhe na Chhooona. Fuzzy Hun main.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Richa has been roped in to star as Shakeela in her biopic. For those who don’t know, Shakeela, who hails from Kerala, was one of the biggest actresses of the 90s who acted in several adult films in various languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
She made her debut in the film industry at the age of 16 and took the world by storm. Her films were such a raging success and her fanfare knew no bounds which was surprising, given that the film industry was dominated mostly by men during that era. That resulted in her films being dubbed in languages across India and also in languages Chinese, Nepalese and others.
According to the report, Richa’s spokesperson has stated, “The film is the story of Shakeela, one of the most famous actors from Malayalam cinema from the 90s who rose to a spectacular amount of fame. Her fans were spread across Asia and she earned fanfare as a woman which back then was unheard of. The film’s script was exciting and is a great story to tell and the story will make for a great watch for the audience. The preparations will begin soon and the film should be going on floors in end April or May.”
Richa’s versatility and her no-f*ks given attitude is what sets her apart from her contemporaries and her fans are always excited to watch this bombshell on screen. Given her personality and her skills, we think she would do a kickass job in this role and undoubtedly, the film would become a blockbuster.
The film will have Indrajit Lankesh behind the director’s wheel and if it does go on floors this April, it’ll be set for a release in early 2019.
