salmanThe successful filmmaker – actor pair Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan have joined hands for their third collaboration titled ‘Bharat’ after previously giving two blockbuster films ‘Sultan’ and the recently released ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

Their upcoming film Bharat is a remake of South Korean film Ode To My Father (2014). In a conversation with a leading agency, Ali revealed that it was Salman Khan’s idea to do this project.

Talking more about this film, Ali expressed, “That film came to me from Salman himself. He gave me the film and said he really likes it and asked me to watch it. I saw it and really liked it. (But) You can’t make the film exactly how it is in the original. The socio-political scenario affects your story and the character. But I liked the basic crux of the film. Salman said after ‘Tiger’, you do this”.

Reportedly, the film will revolve around India – Pakistan partition story. However, Ali refused to comment on the same. Further, when the filmmaker was asked about who will be working along with Salman in this film, he said, “We will begin March onwards. I want to sleep for a month. We are at the elementary stage”.
