The TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List is out and guess who made it to the list from India this time?

Well, all we can say is that those who have made it to the list rule millions of hearts and have a massive fan following and deserve this space for sure.

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, Indian Cricket Team Skipper Virat Kohli, Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal and Microsoft’s Indian-born CEO Satya Nadella have been named in the list this year.

Describing the type of people that usually make it to the list, the magazine said, “TIME’s annual list of the world’s most influential people is a designation of individuals whose time, in our estimation, is now.”

Describing Kohli, Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar wrote “hunger for runs and consistency. Has been remarkable and has become the hallmark of his game.”

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has the ‘Most Followed Account’ and cricket star Virat Kohli has got the ‘Most Engaged Account’ on Instagram, according to the Instagram Awards which have been announced for the first time in India. Kohli has 19.8 million followers as on Monday. His account generated the biggest number of engagements when all likes and comments from the content that he shared in 2017 — except ‘Story’ views and video views — were aggregated.

The list, which acknowledges photo-sharing platform Instagram’s most engaging community members, also recognises Emerging Account and 20 Million Milestones.

Actor Ishaan Khatter, who will be seen in Dhadak, has been named for India’s ‘Emerging Account’ for growing his fanbase on Instagram significantly throughout 2017.

For Ishaan, Instagram is his most loved social media platform.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s recent wedding became the most talked about topic in 2018. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in Italy, in complete secrecy with the presence of only close family and friends. The couple then had two receptions in Mumbai and Delhi, which were attended by the who’s who of the glitterati across India. Top politicians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the reception to bless the happy couple.

After hosting the second and a grand reception in Mumbai, the ‘Phillauri’ actress left with her husband and his team for the upcoming series in South Africa. The couple was spotted at the Mumbai International airport late Wednesday night with the other cricketers. While the captain of the Indian cricket team sported a casual look in the Team India tracksuit, Anushka looked gorgeous in a black and white jumpsuit and black jacket. On that note, the U-19 Indian team was also spotted departing from the Mumbai International airport for their next series.

Now, Anushka has shared the couple’s first picture from South Africa.

Virat and Anushka tied the knot on December 11. The couple made a formal announcement of the same on their social media accounts by posting, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli tied the knot secretly on December 11, in Italy and hosted a grand wedding reception in Delhi on December 21, ready to meet their friends and well-wishers from their respective industries. The reception ceremony of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohliand Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma at Hotel Taj Palace’s Raja Baugh area was more of a traditional affair with a select few including Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the invitees.

The couple was expected to appear for the event at 8 pm but they turned up at a little late. With a neatly-tied bun encircled in a mogra gajra, Anushka wore a traditional red and gold saree designed by Sabyasachi with a heavy palla and jadau jewellery; chuda and sindoor in place. Virat appeared dapper in a black achkan and white churidaar and heavily embroidered shawl with golden border in black mojris. Virat helped Anushka on the stage as they posed for the shutterbugs as fans flanked the streets for the two.

However, what caught our attention was Anushka’s saree, it struck a similar resemblance to one of the earlier outfits worn by actress Deepika Padukone. Sabyasachi’s designs on Anushka offered nothing fresh.

The new bride’s wedding lehenga and earrings were similar to Deepika’s saree and earrings that she wore to one of the awards function. Anushka, however, looked breathtakingly beautiful on both of her special days.

One of the most talked-about couples in both Tinseltown and cricket pitches who tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Italy on December 11, appeared for a photo-op at Hotel Taj Palace’s Raja Baugh area. The couple were expected to appear for the event at 8 pm but like all good things take time they turned up at a little late but were a sight to sore eyes. With a neatly-tied bun encircled in a mogra gajra, Anushka wore a traditional red and gold saree designed by Sabyasachi with a heavy palla and jadau jewellery; chuda and sindoor in place. Interestingly, the decor of the alfresco stage matched with the trousseau and sherwani they wore on their D-Day in Italy. The stage glimmered with the decoration likened to a glass-studded palace in place and the burning white candles atop crystal fixtures added an old-wordly charm to the whole set-up in the fine crescent night. The reception ceremony was high on security and strictly for family and dignitaries in the city, with around a dozen of Delhi Police personnel in plain clothes guarding. The function in the capital will be followed by a Mumbai reception on December 26, likely to be attended by friends and colleagues of the newlyweds. The security detail at the Rani Baugh section of the hotel was heavier as Modi was expected to attend. Last evening, Anushka and Virat met Modi and invited him to the reception. Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal is also expected to attend. On the wedding day, the couple in a statement said they will shift to their new residence in Worli, Mumbai later this month. After the reception, the couple will fly to South Africa where Kohli will be prepping up for the upcoming series.

The actor will spend the New Year’s Eve with her husband before flying back to Mumbai to start the shooting of Aanand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan.

However, a Times Now report has confirmed that the duo has now got officially married in Italy. The report states that the couple will make the official announcement at 8 pm today.

The couple apparently started dating while shooting a commercial in 2013, and ever since they have been strong and have given major relationship goals to their fans. They had officially started making a joint appearance at major events and marriage ceremonies of Indian cricketers. They recently attended cricketer Zaheer Khan’s wedding reception and the duo burnt the dance floor.

A source had earlier revealed to mid-day saying, “Anushka Sharma’s dad has made calls to some building folks, inviting them to the wedding that is slated for next week. As everyone cannot travel to Italy, he was keen to make them aware of the developments and seek blessings for the couple.”
