aThere is more disheartening news for the already delayed “Jagaa Jasoos”. Due to last minute post-production activities, the film missed its release in the UAE, Dubai and Singapore on Thursday.

But the good news is that the film makes it for its Friday release in the nick of time.

The film’s co-producer Bimal Parekh admits there has been a costly delay.

“We could not open in UAE , Dubai and Singapore on Thursday morning. We had a choice of opening with the evening shows. But we decided against it. Rather than taking a risk (with the release), we decided to open on Friday along with all the other centres in India and overseas.”

Normally films open in the UAE and Dubai on Thursday.

Parekh says they could manage the worldwide distribution of Jagga Jasoos on schedule in spite of the delayed “delivery” of prints only because of the producer Disney’s international reach.

“If it wasn’t for Disney’s marketing I don’t know what we would have done,” Parekh shudders.

Thursday may not be the best of days in the week; but, trust us when we say we’ve got your back. As a dose of feel good, here is something that will at the very least leave you feeling brighter than before and ready to take on the world… maybe like Spiderman…?

The Comic Con India crew recently attended Sony India’s Exclusive ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ media event in Singapore with Sahil Shah from East India Comedy. Sahil as part of the CCI Crew hosted a special conversation with the cast of the movie including with Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, the video for which is right here.

And guess what? Sahil brings up THAT topic… yeah, the one about the Desi Spiderman song and all!

Oh, and guess what else?! Tom Holland reacts to it, too! By singing it!

How awesome is this guy, anyway?

The video is part of Comic Con India’s new web series, titled Geekly which, as the name suggests, is about all things geeky. And if this one is anything to go by, then we’ve got a lot of killer entertainment coming to us from the comics universe, thanks Comic Con!

Also, I have to say it. Tom Holland is a cool kid. And ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ might be exactly the kind of redemption the franchise needs for the webbed superhero.

And till we’re waiting to see how much good Holland does to the role, we’ll take this one for now.

There are mashups and then there are mashups. Satvik B is a musician from Singapore whose latest cover of 3 songs – SoMo’s ‘Ride’, ‘Raabta’, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s beautiful classic ‘Sannu Ek Pal’ — is sheer magic. Satvik transitions effortlessly between these three of our favourite songs and by the end of the video, you have teleported back to the teenage years of first love.

While Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s original ‘Sannu Ek Pal’ still remains the best version of the song that can be,

we like this version for its refreshing new voice.

Also, while you’re at it, here’s a Bollywood medley by the singer that’s worth listening to:

“Twenty-two years ago, three of my fans who had come from their town to take part in my birthday celebrations died in an accident on their way back. This is the reason why I get out of the city on my birthday, When I was a bus conductor, I used to drink a lot due to peer pressure. When I entered films, the problem got worse, and coupled with long working hours, led me into depression. After my marriage to Latha, I cut back on drinking, but continued to smoke too much. My lungs and kidneys got affected and I had to be treated in Singapore. Now, for the past two months, I’ve been hale and hearty. That’s why I’m asking you to stop smoking.” Requested Rajinikanth in his speech.

Very recently, The superstar’s story has been included in a Syllabus titled ‘Dignity for Work’ for CBSE students as a Lesson.
