Shocking! Shah Rukh Khan admits to have never seen an Imtiaz Ali film before

The Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ tanked badly at the box-office and was panned badly by the audiencess well. But defiant Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan want to still defend the film even after the debacle. In an interview with Indian Express, Imtiaz Ali said, “Some said you really need to be intelligent to understand an Imtiaz Ali film. For me that was a blow. I feel that I have never been part of any intelligent club. I wanted to make a very simple film with all my heart. I have not made this film for praise. You know I would like to be the director who can make different kinds of films. This one is made to reach the maximum number of people. Not to just get praise for myself. I have been a veteran at this. When Tamasha released, lot of people praised the film but the film was not reaching the audience,” Imtiaz added, answering a question about the reviews Jab Harry Met Sejal has got since its Friday release.

Shah Rukh Khan, who worked with Imtiaz for the first time, echoed his director, saying the magic of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ will take time to latch onto people. “I have not seen Imtiaz Ali’s previous work. I have always believed the film should go beyond the subject and create some magic. I also believe people come with preconceived notion that they have seen already,” the 51-year old actor said. This statement has shocked everyone as Shah Rukh Khan had previously given a statement that he thinks Imtiaz Ali is a current day Yash Chopra.It has to be known as to how SRK could make a statement like that, if he claims to have not seen any of Imtiaz’s previous works.

It was a special day for actor Parul Chauhan recently, when she got the chance to meet superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai produced by Rajan Shahi. The actor says that his entry was part of a sequence in the show. “He will be part of the episode. He is visiting our house and this is a surprise for Kirti which Kartik has organised,” she says.

Parul is eagerly waiting for his film Jab Harry Met Sejal, that also stars actor Anushka Sharma. “The film is going to be a hit. The combination of the three – Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali – is really good. The promos are also good and I also like all the films directed by Imtiaz Ali. I just want to wish them luck for their movie,” she says.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Although she is meeting King Khan for the fourth time, Parul says that she was still very excited. “I met him for the fourth time. I met him in 2008 when I did Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tej Hain and after that, I met him in Film City when I was shooting for Bidaai and he was shooting for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He stopped his car and waved at me and he even hugged me. That was the happiest moment of my life. I had also met him at an event in Delhi where he was there for a dance show. I am his biggest fan,” she says.

In fact, she was very nervous this time. “I was meeting him after 8 to 9 years, so when I saw him on the set, my heart was beating hard and I started to shiver. I was scared that he might not recognize me. So I went up to him and spoke and then he recognized me. He told me that I have changed a lot,” she says.

Like of other SRK fans, Parul, too, never misses any of his movies. “I like all his films and have learned a lot from him as an actor and also as a human being. I have seen all his films some 50 times,” she says, adding, “He is a damn good actor. And the best thing is even after achieving so much, he has not changed. He is very down to earth. In spite of being busy with his films, he came on our sets to shoot one scene.”

Shah Rukh Khan injures back while on way to Kolkata for press conference

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday injured his back while on his way to the city to promote his latest release ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The actor was forced to delay his arrival by flight.

“I am sorry for the delay. I had to get a dressing done as I injured my back today (Saturday),” he said in a telephonic message to waiting reporters. It was not immediately known how he suffered the injury.

Shah Rukh, Anushka Sharma and film director Imtiaz Ali are expected to visit a mall here to meet their fans and then address the media. ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ was released on Friday.

SRK Slapped With Notice of Rs 5.59 Lakh by Varanasi Police for using police security

SRK_anushka Shah Rukh Khan has landed himself in yet another controversy. According to a report in DNA, Varanasi Police has slapped a recovery notice of Rs. 5.59 lakhs on Shah Rukh Khan for using police security during the promotional event of his latest release, Jab Harry Met Sejal.

During their visit to Varanasi, the police there had deployed around 224 police personnel. The organizers, Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management had deposited Rs. 51, 132, but according to the police, the the salary of the police personnel deployed was Rs. 6.11 lakhs.

Shah Rukh Khan was accompanied by his co-star Anushka Sharma, director of his film, Imtiaz Ali and BJP MP, Manoj Tiwari.

However, the organisers of the event, Ashokha Institute of Technology and Management have a different take on it. The organizers claim that only few police personnel were deployed on their campus which was already a safe place.

Ankit Maurya, Organizer We have requested the police department to recover the remaining amount from Shah Rukh Khan and his team for providing them security for their other program in the city. Majority of the police personnel deployed from the airport to Shah Rukh Khan’s private programs and his visit to ghats and other places in Varanasi.

This was reportedly SRK’s first visit to the city.

Shah Rukh Khan Now Has A Paan Named After Him

SRK Jab Harry Met Sejal Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has a Banarasi Meetha Paan named after him.

The paan which costs Rs 35 is being sold at the same shop Shah Rukh Khan had visited during his visit to the spiritual city of India, Banaras. He had gone for promotions of Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Imtiaz Ali had made a stop at a local betel leaf vendor’s shop to taste the flavour the city of Banaras had to offer in the form of ‘Banarasi Meetha Paan’. The trio were pleasantly surprised to learn that the shop was a 70-year-old shop, named ‘Tambulam Paan shop’. They then savored on ‘chilled meetha paan’ from the age old vendor, Satish Kumar

Shah Rukh Khan personally thanked the vendor and there was no limit to the vendor’s exultation after he met Shah Rukh Khan, Imtiaz Ali and Anushka Sharma.

As soon as Shah Rukh Khan left from the shop, there was a huge flock of people asking Satish Kumar, for the Meetha Paan that Shah Rukh Khan savored. There was immense alacrity amongst the people for the Meetha Paan.

Every passerby was telling Satish Kumar to make him the same Meetha Paan which Shah Rukh Khan had eaten.

Satish Kumar shares,”After Shah Rukh Khan has come and eaten paan at my shop, I am getting non stop requests for exactly the paan that he ate. Not just from Varanasi, but I am getting calls from other cities also to parcel and send that paan. So I decided to have that paan separately in my menu. It’s the most expensive paan that I have on my list.”

Now Satish Kumar has named a special meetha paan after Shah Rukh Khan which will be available at his paan shop, for INR 35.

Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film has released today.

Shah Rukh Khan’s spokesperson claims they haven’t received any notice on shaving cream controversy

SRKVJohn Shah Rukh Khan recently landed in a legal tangle for endorsing a shaving cream brand. Bhopal-based consumer Rajkumar Pandey slapped a case against Khan and the company manufacturing the cream (VI John) after his skin broke into a rash. In the latest development, Khan’s spokesperson released an official statement rubbishing the allegations.

“First and foremost, Shah Rukh Khan is currently not the ambassador of the said brand. The contract between the shaving cream brand and him terminated in April 2016. Also, we have not received any notice so far.”

Pandey had filed a case in a Bhopal consumer court alleging that Khan is misleading people with his ad. He mentioned that he had to undergo treatment at a hospital after using the cream. Pandey further claimed that Madhya Pradesh Food and Drugs Department tested the product and stated it to be of “bad quality”.

The superstar replied to one of the tweets of Aamir Khan, where he had shared the trailer of his new film, Secret Superstar, and wrote, “This so much yaar. & as I mentioned ur trailer Secret Superstar is sooo endearing. Let me know when u can watch JHMS”

If you are confused by the tweet then let me decipher it for you. The first part of the tweet is for Aamir Khan’s other tweet where he said this, “Shahrukh, Anushka, Imitiaz, all the very best for your release tomorrow! I’m sure it will rock!! Looking forward !!! Love. a.” And then Shah Rukh went on to praise the trailer of Aamir’s upcoming film and called it endearing. He later asked Aamir when he would be free to watch Jab Harry Met Sejal.

We often see the bromance of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, it is very rare that we see Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan sharing their affection for each other. This is one such moment. Let’s just hope the duo, who has never shared screen space apart from a cameo in Pehla Nasha, sign a film soon with full-fledged roles for each. That film will be a sure shot blockbuster.

SRK & Diplo's Song Phurrr From 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' Is Like An Expensive Champagne With No Fizz

Blame it on the maker or the music director, after creating so much buzz, the song Phurrr from ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is finally out. And believe it or not, this song is all that you never asked for.

Well, it begins and not a single moment in the video impresses you. The least you can say is that it’s a lot like a nursery rhyme but not one that we loved or remember.

For days we couldn’t keep calm; after all, Shah Rukh Khan was collaborating with popular music producer Diplo and here’s the song we waited for so long. Phurrr, just like its name should Phurrr, so we don’t have to hear it again. The song is said to be based on Anushka Sharma’s character Sejal and we really hope it is nothing like this song or it will leave tons of us disappointed.

Remember the time Akon and SRK collaborated? Boy, even now when Chamak Challo and Criminal is played we can’t help ourselves but groove to the music. The same was expected this time…but it turned out to be a champagne with no fizz.

Composed by Pritam, Diplo, and Rocky Wellseteck and sung by Tushar Joshi and Omit Chauhan, this is the biggest disappointment of the year. The only highlight of the song is Diplo striking King Khan’s signature pose.

A look at the video and you will release that it looks like a work where no one cared enough about this huge collaboration. Neither SRK nor Diplo look interested in whatsoever is being done. You have senseless lyrics, bad background score, terrible visuals and weird choreography…this pretty much sums up what we feel after looking at SRK and Diplo together.
