Those who have been missing Saif Ali Khan’s presence on screen lately, we have some amazing news for you. The actor is back in a never-seen-before avatar in his upcoming film ‘Kaalakaandi’.
The makers have rolled out the teaser of his upcoming dark comedy and it is going to make you fall for him all over again.

A glimpse into the teaser, and you just know there is definitely something great in store for you. The writer of cult film ‘Delhi Belly’ Akshat Verma is back this time to make his directorial debut with this dark and quirky film.
In this 37-second clip, Saif’s acting is so unerring that you can’t take your eyes off him.

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the plot and it looks pretty interesting. You see Saif doing weird things in front of a hooker. It shows montages of various scenes from the film, hinting that the story revolves around a single night. But that’s not it, there is a lot of mystery; you have cops, gun shots, robbers, car chase and Deepak Dobriyal making a menacing appearance.
However, what grabs all the attention is Saif donning a yellow feather jacket which metaphorically drops the hint that his character has various layers and shades.

Talking to Pinkvilla, Saif told, “Kaalakaandi is a film I’m so happy to be a part of! It’s a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night. Akshat has written and directed this unique movie and he is probably the only voice who tells it exactly like it actually is. Mumbai is a crazy, beautiful city and he has captured it perfectly in this very fun and very moving film.”
The film gives you a very familiar vibe of ‘Delhi Belly’ and the background score is something different because that’s not something you hear in our usual Bollywood movies.

The teaser is so engrossing that it wouldn’t be wrong to say that this might be Saif’s craziest role till date.
The film is set to release on September 8 this year and also stars Akshay Oberoi, Vijay Raaz, Shobita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Isha Talwar.

Phew, that’s a lot of places; it has to be some kind of a record or something!
An eventful Sunday has been planned for the city’s school kids on July 9, when Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will interact with them as part of promotions for their upcoming film, Jagga Jasoos.
The actors have blocked their dates to interact with kids of grades five to 12 from various schools of Mumbai at the event, which will be held at St. Andrew’s auditorium in Bandra. A few parents will also accompany them.
The duo will conduct a master class on the song Galti Se Mistake, which has caught the fancy of school-going children, given that they can relate to it.
The cast of Jagga Jasoos will conduct a quiz on the film, and will also take questions from their young audience members.
Ranbir and Katrina are extremely excited about interacting with the children. The former plays a school-going kid in the adventure drama. The Anurag Basu-directed project will hit screens on July 14.
Digangana Suryavanshi who was last seen in Bigg Boss 9 touches yet another milestone. The actress bought a new flat and like everyone knows it’s a proud moment to own a house in Mumbai.
The actress landed in Mumbai two day back from her Indonesia work trip and made a direct entry into her new house. It was a small get together at her new home on 30th June, Friday attended by her industry friends Sana Amin Sheikh, Gia Manek, Bhavesh Balchandani, Avika Gor, Manish Raisinghania and Faisal Khan.
Sana Amin said,” I am very happy that I am here to be a part of her happiness and in fact, I am proud of her that at such a young age she has achieved so much. And it’s a proud moment to own a house in Mumbai which she managed to do and I feel touched that I am here to be part of this pride.” Digangana and her parents (Neeraj Suryavanshi and Sarita Suryavanshi) are famous for their hospitality.

Actor Tiger Shroff says he is trying to become a real-life superhero, especially for children. The actor, who joined hands with a flagship corporate social responsibility programme with an aim to make a difference to the lives of underprivileged children in Mumbai, feels lucky to have a wide young fan base.
“I am not a real life superhero. I’m trying to be a real life superhero especially to the kids. I’m lucky enough to have a larger audience in the children,” Tiger told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
On the film front, Tiger Shroff has big projects like the Hindi remake of Hollywood action film ‘Rambo’, ‘Munna Michael‘ and ‘Baaghi 2‘ in his kitty.

Chennai: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, currently shooting for his upcoming movie “Kaala Karikalan”, today left for the US for “health checkup”, sources close to the actor said.
“He has gone (to the US from Mumbai) for regular health checkup,” the sources said.
Last week, the top star had left for Mumbai from here to take part in the shooting of “Kaala Karikalan”, directed by
Pa Ranjith.
The 66-year-old actor recently gave indications that he was holding discussions on entering politics.
“I have not denied it. We are discussing and yet to take a decison. Once I take a decision, I will inform you,” the
Kabali star had said.
The shooting for “Kaala Karikalan” was going on at a brisk pace in Mumbai over the last few days.
Rajinikanth, who had met his fans in May, had asked them to “prepare for war”, hinting that he might consider entering politics.

In a promotional masterstroke, the makers of superstar Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight introduced the audience to the little boy from the movie, Matin Rey Tangu, four days before the film’s release. The kid, who hails from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, and was only seen in film’s trailers shared the stage with the actor at a press meet on Monday evening. Salman Khan has been full of praises for eight-year-old Matin and we could see why at the event.
The event, which was filled with moments of wonder thanks to Salman’s little co-star, took an embarrassing turn when a reporter asked Matin if this is the first time he is visiting India, assuming he is Chinese. The journalist was corrected by another scribe sitting beside her, who told her Matin is from Arunachal Pradesh. Realising the goof-up, she changed her question to, “If this is the first time you have come to Mumbai?” Even as Matin asked her to repeat her question for it wasn’t audible to him, Salman, who had heard the first question, interrupted, turned towards Matin and asked him, “She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?” The journalist repeated and said, “Is it first time in Mumbai?” Salman, however, stuck to his question and asked Matin again, “She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?”
The boy, who had already by then left the mediapersons in awe with his sharpness, replied, “Hum India per hi baithta hai, toh India mei toh aayega na (I live in India only, so obviously I will come here),” as the crowd emerged in cheers and applause.
Tubelight is set against the backdrop of 1962 Sino-Indian war and Salman’s Chinese co-star in the film is actor Zhu Zhu, who is making her Bollywood debut. She hasn’t been to India yet for the promotions and director Kabir Khan has said that her India visit will only happen after the film’s release. Tubelight hits theatres this Friday.
