It won’t be wrong to say that 2017 has been a rather good year for Varun Dhawan. With both of his releases- ‘Badrinath ki Dulhania’ and ‘Judwaa 2’ being blockbusters and crossing the Rs. 200 crore mark, we thought it could not get any better for him…turns out it can.

Getting immortalized in the form of a wax statue at the legendary Madame Tussauds is a huge deal for any and every celebrity. But it becomes a greater deal when your wax statue is going to break records and Varun Dhawan is doing just that. The Bollywood heartthrob is all set to have a wax statue created in his image at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong and THIS is why it is a big deal.

With this achievement, Varun is not only the youngest Indian actor to have a statue at the wax museum at Hong Kong but is also the fourth Indian face at the Hong Kong center. The other three are Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.

The actor, who is in seventh heaven, confirmed the news through his Twitter handle.

More than 200 measurements were taken and his hair color, eye color and skin tone were also closely matched. Varun himself has been working closely with the sculpting team and giving them ideas about the statue’s final look.

All’s well and done and we definitely can’t wait for his statue to be unveiled. But one thing we can’t help but think about is what pose would his statue be in?

Taking the past into consideration, Madame Tussauds’ statues, though stunning, usually include the celebrities standing in a rather stiff pose. So we thought of some poses that the Tussauds team could consider while making his statute. You know, just to break the monotony.

1. The ‘debut’ pose

Varun made his debut with ‘Student of The Year’ back in 2012 and with his first film itself; he managed to make women all over the world swoon over his charming looks and excellent physique. Although we doubt that Madame Tussauds would ever go the extra mile and consider a shirtless pose, his iconic rockstarish entry in the film definitely makes for a good pose.

2. The ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ pose

Varun, who is an ardent fan of Shah Rukh (who isn’t?) loves to imitate this classic and legendary pose of the Badshah of Bollywood and we have to say, he does it pretty well.

We’re pretty sure he would be more than happy to have his statue in the same pose as his favorite actor.

3. The ‘sitting on an imaginary chair’ pose

This one might prove to be a little difficult to execute but Varun Dhawan channeling this pose on top of a bus while lip syncing to his hit song ‘Palat’ is definitely noteworthy.

4. The ‘making a heart’ pose

We aren’t exactly a fan of this pose but it seems to be quite popular with his admirers.

5. The ‘Badlapur meme’ pose

Last but definitely not the least, this still from the movie ‘Badlapur’ went viral over the internet. Also, Varun’s intense expression gave Twitter users the perfect opportunity to churn hilarious memes.

Madhubala and Kareena Kapoor Khan

Madhur Brij, the younger sister of Madhubala, says that all the actresses of today are very beautiful but she wants Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan to play the late actress if the biopic is made on her as the “Jab We Met” heroine has the same naughtiness that the former used to have.

“There was a time when I wanted Madhuri Dixit to play the role of Madhubala in her biopic but now it has to be Kareena Kapoor Khan as she has the same naughtiness that Madhubala used to have and she is a beautiful actress too,” said Madhur on the sidelines of the unveiling of the wax figure of the late actress by Madame Tussauds, Delhi, on Thursday.

So, was the legendary actress equally naughty at home too? “Madhubala was very simple at home. She was elder but never bossy and she used to encourage all of us to come in films,” said Madhur, draped elegantly in a white sari with her head covered by a scarf.

Born in 1933, Madhubala — often regarded as the most iconic female celebrity of Hindi cinema — worked in films between 1942 and 1962.

Some of her widely acclaimed films include “Mahal” (1949), “Amar” (1954), “Mr. & Mrs. ’55” (1955), “Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi” (1958), “Mughal-e-Azam” (1960) and “Barsaat Ki Raat” (1960).

Madhubala died on February 23, 1969 after a prolonged illness.

Talking about what is the one thing actresses of today should learn from the late actress, Madhur said it has to be strength and patience.

“The one thing that film actresses of today can learn from Madhubala is to see how bravely a girl fought who knew that she had just two years left to live, she never gave up her hopes and expectations. She always used to think that she will be fine soon, will get her life back and will continue to work,” she told IANS.

“The actresses of today are very successful but they should learn strength, patience from her,” she added.

Madhur said she was overjoyed at seeing the love and respect Madhubala gets even after her death.

“Very few films of her did good business at box office while the rest of her films didn’t do well but I am surprised to see that she was called the Venus of Indian screen,” she said and added, “I feel happy looking at this figure but I am upset also from inside as I want to ask God that why he gave her such a short life. This will be my question to God all my life. A girl who was affectionate, nice, beautiful and a good soul has gone so early.”

“Had she been alive, she would have worked in much more bigger films than ‘Mughal-e-Azam’.”

Madhubala’s wax figure has been inspired by her legendary character “Anarkali” from the film “Mughal-e-Azam”. The figure has been created beautifully by the artists of Madame Tussauds.

There were many artists who worked for over six months to create the figure of the actress with fabrics and accessories sourced from India and put up beautifully by artists abroad.

Feeling like a proud father, Rajamouli shared this news on Twitter and all we are left with now is to see Moscow shout “Jiyo re Baahubali” or cry at the scene where Katappa killed him. In fact, Rajamouli is currently in Russia to attend this 8-day event that will end on 30th June.

Very excited to be in Russia for Moscow international film festival. Proud that #Baahubali2 is selected as the opening film.

This movie has already broken records at the international level and garnered over Rs. 1500 crores worldwide within 22 days. The movie is now looking forward a China release and the people are hoping for it to break Dangal’s mega records. Baahubali’s popularity is no joke and by this time we are sure that even Bollywood will agree with the charm of Prabhas, especially after he became the first South Indian actor to get his own wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Malaysia. Apart from ‘Baahubali 2′, movies like ‘Badman’, ‘A Death in the Gunj’, ‘U Turn’ and ‘Kothanodi’ will be screened at the festival too.
