Maanayata Dutt and Amrita Arora Ladak have struck up a friendship, thanks to their kids who study in the same school. Maanayata’s children, Shahraan and Iqra Dutt, and Amu’s kids, Azaan and Rayaan, are classmates. The mommies often do lunch together. Recently, Maanayata Dutt and Amrita Arora Ladak were spotted together with friends at a popular restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai the girl gang was enjoying a dinner outing. Will Amrita’s bestie Kareena Kapoor Khan approve of this new friendship? Just saying.

Maanayata Dutt, whose real name is Dilnashin Shaikh, first came to prominence after doing an item number in Prakash Jha’s 2003 directorial Gangaa Jal, which starred Ajay Devgn. Maanayata Dutt and Sanjay Dutt got married on 7th February 2008. Amrita Arora Ladak is the wife of businessman Shakeel Ladak and has two sons with him, Rayaan and Azaan her last major Bollywood outing was the 2009 film Kambakkht Ishq, which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Dia Mirza is excited to work on Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt, but doesn’t want to be stressed thinking about her role. Dia will be seen playing the role of Dutt’s wife, Maanayata, in the film. “I’m excited about the biopic and my role. I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself by thinking about the fact that it might take my career as an actor in a new direction,” she says. Ranbir Kapoor plays the protagonist in the film.

Maanayata Dutt named in Paradise Papers, claims innocence

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s wife, who is named among those in the ‘Paradise Papers’ for parking their wealth in secretive tax havens abroad, says that all her financial dealings are declared as per legal requirements.

Dilnashin figures among the 714 Indian links named in the ‘Paradise Papers’, said the Indian Express in a banner story done as part of a global probe carried out by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Maanayata Dutt was previously known as ‘Dilnasheen’ before she joined Bollywood. She did an item song in Prakash Jha’s film ‘Gangajal’

Her spokesperson said in a statement: “As per the requirements of provisions of Income Tax Act, 1961, all the properties, company or body corporate or shares in any company are declared in the balance sheet.”

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been named as part of the leaks, regarding shareholding in a Bermuda company acquired before the 2004 Liberalised Remittance Scheme kicked in.

A day before the big story broke, Amitabh had penned his thoughts on being named in the Bofors scandal and the earlier Panama Papers leaks.

On the Panama Papers of last year, he wrote in a blog post on Sunday: “We were asked for reactions, for responses, for justification or not, for replies to their investigative queries… Two instant replies were given out by us… Of denial and misuse of name. They were printed… but the questions continued.

“The fullest cooperation has been extended at all hours as dutiful citizens.. And even after, if there is any more query that needs to be addressed, we shall comply.”

Why is Maanayata Dutt calling Ranbir Kapoor?

Rajkumar Hirani his making one of the most ambitious projects of his film career- the Sanjay Dutt biopic. Ranbir Kapoor has stuck out his neck for portraying Sanjay Dutt on the big screen and trying to humanise him. Ranbir has undergone several physical transformations as well. Even Sonam Kapoor shot for an extensive portion in New York for the film. She is touted to play the role of Madhuri Dixit, who had a torrid affair with Sanjay Dutt in the 90s. However, one person is clearly a bit salty about her role and portrayal. That happens to be Maanayata Dutt, third wife of Sanjay Dutt.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, we hear that Hirani has not intimated her about the screentime her character will get, or what role she will play in the film. A nervous Maanyata, we hear, has been calling all and sundry (including Ranbir Kapoor), trying to get more info on the movie. The part of Maanayata Dutt will be played by Dia Mirza and ironically she only has good things to say about her role. “I believe Maanayata is someone who has a strong sense of self. Ranbir has transformed himself into Sanjay totally but I don’t think others need to do the same. I have interacted with her over the years and I think she is the anchor in Sanjay’s life. But I have perceived Maanayata through the wonderful writing (by Abhijat and Raju) that’s been written about her.”

The Dutt biopic has a stellar star cast comprising of Manisha Koirala playing Nargis Dutt, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt and Vicky Kaushal as a close aide of Sanjay. The film is set to release in 2018. Sanjay Dutt has led quite a controversial life right from being accused of holding illegal arms and ammunition in his home during 1993 Mumbai blasts to battling drug addiction and multiple marriages.

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is looking forward to his comeback film ‘Bhoomi’, has joked that his wife Maanayata uses his shoes to hit him.

The actor quipped about his personal life during an episode of ‘Yaar Mera Superstar Season 2’. The episode will go on air on Sunday on Zoom channel, read a statement.

He also said that some of his shoes are custom-made in Mexico.

“These are my shoes. These shoes are handmade shoes. The mochi (cobbler) of Agra would not make such shoes here. The mochi is from Mexico who makes these shoes and I have found him after a lot of difficulties. The name of the Mochi’s shop is ‘Back at the ranch’,” Sanjay said.

“He sends me catalogues and you can choose what you want, it’s not leather, it’s plastic and you can choose which one you want… I have many of such shoes which my wife hits me with, on my head,” he added.

‘Bhoomi’ marks Sanjay’s comeback after he was released from jail in Pune in 2016. It is an emotional and sensitive revenge drama that explores the relationship between a father and daughter. It also stars Shekhar Kapur and Aditi Rao Hydari.

Sanjay Dutt and Maanayata Dutt have become inseperable ever since Sanjay Dutt is home after finishing his 5 year jail sentence in a case related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The couple have been holidaying together to exotic locations and are also seen together in several social events.

Maanayata, has become quite active on Instagram and is posting pictures of herself with Sanjay Dutt and her children as well. Sanjay Dutt and Maanayata Dutt got married in 2008 and have twins, Shahraan and Iqra. Sanjay Dutt was previously married to Richa Sharma, who succumbed to cancer and later to Rhea Pillai, which ended in divorce. Maanayata, has recently shared an adorable photo of her and Sanjay in which he is hugging her from behind. The couple look very much in love and extremely adorable. She has captioned it by writing:

Sanjay Dutt, who last featured in a small role in Aamir Khan’s 2014 movie ‘PK’, will be making his comeback to the big screen with Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’ which explores the relationship between a father and daughter. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhanth Gupta.

‘Bhoomi’ releases on September 22.

Ranbir Kapoor says the upcoming biopic on Sanjay Dutt will deal with both the highs and lows of the actor’s life.

Ranbir says Dutt has been very gracious in providing insights about his life story in an honest way for the biopic being helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. “He hasn’t been a hypocrite about it (his life). So it’s not a propaganda film trying to portray him as God or something. “We are trying to show a very human side of Sanjay Dutt, his perils, his downfall, his will to fight, his time in jail, terrorism charges, his drug phase, how he handled his mother’s death two days before the release of his debut film, his relationship with his father. These were human conflicts in
his life,” Ranbir told PTI.

Ranbir, who plays Dutt in the movie, says doing the biopic was daunting initially. “He is such a relevant person even today. He is so much
loved even today. He is controversial. But when you have Rajkumar Hirani as the director and Abhijat Joshi as the writer and the character like Sanjay Dutt, you are somewhere cushioned,” he says. From getting into the skin of the character to getting the body language right, the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ star had to put in a lot of hard work to get every aspect of Dutt correct. “Getting the look right is very superficial, it is easy as you have help from make-up and computer graphics. To show Sanjay Dutt as a human being, as a biopic only works when you show the human side of a person, and not the glories but the downfall as well (was not easy).”

Though Ranbir seems to have got the look right, he is extremely nervous about the film. “I don’t know if I have nailed it or not (referring to
the film). I was very inspired (doing this film). We have a few days left now for the film. It’s a very new me, so I am excited to see how the audience reacts. It should be out on March 30 next year,” he says. There were rumours that the ‘Khalnayak’ track will be
recreated in the biopic but Ranbir says that’s not true. “We have not touched upon the ‘Khalnayak’ phase. This film doesn’t talk about Sanjay Dutt the hero, but Sanjay Dutt’s life. We have touched upon his few films like the first one ‘Rocky’, ‘Munnabhai MBBS’,” he says.

The film also features Manisha Koirala as late Nargis Dutt, Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt and Dia Mirza as Dutt’s present wife Maanayata Dutt
