Diljit Dosanjh might be two films old in Bollywood, but he has already proved with his acting prowess that he is here to stay for a really long time. After winning our hearts with ‘Phillauri’ and ‘Udta Punjab’, the actor is all set to don the hat of a hockey player and not just any player, but former captain of Indian hockey team, Sandeep Singh. Earlier, speculations were rife about who will play his leading lady, but now all those doubts have been put to rest as actress Taapsee Pannu will be reportedly seen romancing Dosanjh in this movie, which is being directed by Shaad Ali.

The shooting of this film will apparently start in October in Punjab. Both Diljit and Taapsee will undergo extensive training by professionals for their respective roles. Also according to a report in The Times Of India, Diljit might get training from none other than the legendary Sandeep Singh himself. Yes, the ace player is expected to help the actor gain more knowledge of the game and might show him some of his key on-field moves. In fact, Sandeep has earlier trained some actors for a Punjabi movie. The two are expected to meet soon t discuss further about this project, however, the discussions are still at a very nascent stage.

The film which is yet to be titled is not a biopic on ace hockey player Sandeep Singh, instead it will focus on his love life and apparently Taapsee Pannu too will be seen in the role of a hockey player. Diljit has already floored us all with his portrayal of a police officer, entangled in the growing abuse of drugs in ‘Udta Punjab’. Taapsee has already impressed us with her impeccable acting in ‘Baby’, ‘Naam Shabana’ and ‘Pink’ and is now all set to sizzle on the silver screen with her upcoming movie ‘Judwaa 2′ which also stars actors Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. He is sharing screen space with Taapsee for the first time and we are really excited and looking forward this movie because both the actors are extremely talented.

Jacqueline Fernandez doesn’t like to talk about her private life. But when she is asked about her relationship status, the actor insists that she is only committed to her work.

Discussing the traits she like to see in a partner, she says, “I’m not driven by looks. I’d like my man to be susheel [cultured] and someone who takes risks. He should be a balanced person, someone who is worldly-wise, aware of his tradition and culture, confident, adventurous and full of life.”

The actor, who awaits the release of ‘A Gentleman’ this week, says work is keeping her busy. “But things can change with the snap of a finger. I might meet someone who I would want to be with for the rest of my life. I don’t plan anything. Everything just happens spontaneously and that’s how my life has shaped up,” says the actor, adding that she isn’t averse to commitment.

“Commitment is not an issue, but I don’t want to be in a relationship just for the heck of it. I’ve always been a risk-taker. I entered Bollywood without knowing anyone. I wasn’t even familiar with the language. But that didn’t scare me. I need someone who is likeminded and understands me and my work,” says Fernandez.

The actor had been roped in for Remo D’Souza’s dance drama, Go Daddy, opposite Khan. However, recent developments suggest that the superstar has allotted those dates to Race 3, which is also being helmed by D’Souza. Buzz is that Fernandez may land a role in Race 3 as well.

Talking to mid-day, Jacqueline Fernandez reveals, “I’m doing a film with Salman, but I’m not sure which one. The line-up of the film has changed. Right now the slot is open, and Salman and Remo are debating which film to go ahead with.”

While the script may be the barometer to choose a film on other occasions, the actor says she’ll happily make an exception for Salman Khan. “I’m okay with any of the films as long as I get to work with Salman,” she laughs.

Her fondness for Khan is evident. Having worked with him in Kick (2014), she is glad to share screen space with him again in Judwaa 2, where he will be seen in one of the songs. “Having him on the sets was so amazing. He brings in so much of energy. David sir and Sajid Nadiadwala became nostalgic, it was like a mini reunion. Varun [Dhawan], Taapsee [Pannu] and I just kept listening to their stories.”

Sidharth Malhotra’s Kiss Scene with Jacqueline Fernandez has not been cut

At a song launch event here on Wednesday, lead actor Sidharth Malhotra and co-director Raj Nidimoru clarified: “The kissing scene is there. It has not been cut.” Sidharth features in the movie with Jacqueline Fernandez.

Raj added: “I don’t know what is the big deal about the kissing scene. But the fact is that it is not cut from the film. Most of that reports aren’t right. When you see the film, you will see it.”

Directed by Raj and D.K., the film features Sidharth in a double role.

Asked if he would like to work more in the action genre, Sidharth said: “I love the action genre. As someone who loves watching action, I can’t believe I am a part of it now. So I am really excited about a film that will entertain people with action, give them a two-hour masala picture and still look extremely cool.

“After a long time we will see an entertaining action film which has a lot of comedy in it, thanks to Raj and D.K.”

The team got together to launch a new song “Bandook Meri Laila”. The film will release next week.

As per media reports, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez’s long smooch has been cut from the film, because of course, our ex-CBFC chief doesn’t approve of lovers kissing each other on screen.

Apparently, the CBFC asked the co-directors Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru to reduce the kiss timing. “The lead pair’s kiss just went on and on unnecessarily, just like the smooch in the James Bond film and Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We’ve asked them to take it easy. The film is titled A Gentleman, but the hero seems to forget his manners while kissing,” revealed a source to a leading daily.

So as per our understanding, what Mr. Nihalani means to say is that a gentleman can’t kiss his beau for a long time. Just wondering: how you kiss someone decides whether you are a gentleman or not? Haha!

Back to the film, the viewers are already excited to watch the two sizzle the screen once again. ‘A Gentleman’ is slated to release on August 25, 2017.

salman-khan-jacqueline-fernandezJust yesterday, the rumours started flashing that Salman Khan has kept the movies on hold as he isn’t convinced to play a dancing dad and feels that this role is more suitable for the likes of Varun Dhawan or other younger actors like him.

Jacqueline Fernandez was roped in to play the lead opposite Salman Khan in the dance drama. Today, we got a chance to meet her and in a group interaction with the media, she was asked that has the movie been shelved. Answering on these lines, she said, “The movie hasn’t been shelved. The movie has just been pushed. I think the lineups has been changed around a little bit. So now, we are just trying to figure out what’s going to work that is best for the team that we have existing and see how to move ahead.”

Probe her further, she said, “As far as I am concerned, it is. I know Remo wants to make this film and Salman is very keen. But, I just think just the line ups have changed. There’s been no official announcement on it. Nothing’s been confirmed just yet because people are just trying to figure it out. That’s all I know for now.”

As Salman recommended Varun’s name, the rumours started floating around that the young talented actor might be replacing the Dabangg Khan. When asked about it, Fernandez said, “I don’t know about that. I have no idea about that. It has not been communicated to me.”
