The meeting of ice and fire finally happened and there was a lot of steam that was let out. A scene every GOT fan has been looking forward to, the meeting of Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow was by far one of the most comical scenes in the series. We’ve lost count of the number of times Dany has reiterated her Targaryen-mother-of-dragons-heir-to-Iron-Throne identity.

As Missandei rattles on with parrot-like ease, we feel for Jon Snow and Ser Davos.

Daenerys newfound overconfidence hasn’t gone down well with fans and we are just waiting for the moment when Jon Snow’s real identity is revealed. Twitter had some hilarious reactions to Dany’s narcissist tirade.

Seriously, sistah?!

Till now, just two episodes of the seventh season have aired, and ‘Game of Thrones' is already exceeding all our expectations. With so many twists and turns, the show is keeping the audience on the edge, just like it always does. So many theories, so many developments, there's always something new related to the show every day.

The last episode saw Arya Stark finally meeting her direwolf Nymeria again, a highly anticipated reunion since the first season. But, by the looks of it, the next episode has something even better in store for us.

Some new pictures of the upcoming episode have come out to tease us, and it looks like another highly awaited meeting is about to happen. This time, it's a confrontation between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen.

The next episode, called ‘The Queen's Justice', will have the two finally meet after Daenerys called for Jon Snow to visit Dragonstone to ‘bend the knee' to the Mother Of Dragons.

Well, the kneeling part is a little doubtful, since Tyrion Lannister's letter failed to specifically mention that. This will obviously cause some tension between the King of the North and the Mother of Dragons, since both of them have their eyes on the Iron Throne.

Varys also seems to be consulting Daenerys during the meeting with Jon Snow, but we will just have to wait a few days to see what they are talking about.

The second episode of ‘Game Of Thrones' season 7 had us going back to the previous seasons. Old predictions were confirmed, worst fears came true, and some notorious warnings about a few characters hung ominously in the air. The episode had quite a few callbacks and frankly, only a hardcore fan would recall all of them. While Euron clearly established himself as the next Ramsay Bolton, more shrewd and intimidating in his wild love of violence, there were a few stray hints about how the character of Danerys might evolve, for worse.

When Daenerys Betrays A Hint Of The Madness

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

Daenerys has, by far, shown a balanced head and a steely resolve to reclaim the throne that rightfully belongs to the Targaryens. As she gets closer to her goal, acquiring allies and armies, fans noticed a slight change in her behaviour. When she questions Varys' loyalty, she tells him, “And I swear this, if you ever betray me, I'll burn you alive.” It is being seen as an ominous recall to the Mad King's command to his soldiers: “Burn them all!”

When she dictates the message that is to be sent to Jon Snow, she decides to end it with ‘And bend the knee', much to Tyrion's growing concern. Is power getting to her? Will she become like her father, the Mad King? Or will she turn sinister like Cersei?

Grandma Olenna's advice to her doesn't ring well for her fans either. The old lady tells Dany to choose to ignore her Hand, Tryrion, and conquer Westeros through force, something that'd call bloodshed and mayhem.

Snow's Confrontation With Littlefinger Is Ominous Of Things To Come

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

In what was a much awaited confrontation, Jon Snow slams Littlefinger against a wall warning him to stay away from his sister, when the latter confesses ‘love' for her, just like his love for their mother.

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

If you'd recall Ned Stark reacted much similarly, when Littlefinger took him to a brothel where he had hidden Catelyn. Considering how Petyr Baelish betrayed Ned Stark, it is a fair warning of things to come.

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

Snow has already made Sansa the ruler of the North in his absence; it remains to be seen how a conniving Littlefinger once again plays his old tricks. He could very well influence an already skeptical Sansa to take complete charge of the North and transfer power to him (do we hear wedding bells?).

That's Not You

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

Arya's reunion with her direwolf Nymeria was a much awaited event and what happened in the second episode left many fans heartbroken. Arya's remark “That's not you” after Nymeria fails to come back to her has baffled fans. Another brilliant callback in the episode, this was a direct reference to Arya's statement in season 1 episode 4 – “No, that's not me.” Arya will not be tamed and neither will be her direwolf.

Euron's Ruthless Attack ‘Silencing' The Enemy

One little detail you probably didn't think too much about (or just turned your gaze away from) was this scene –

Things You Missed In Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 2 © HBO

When Euron launches a brutal attack on Yara's fleet, his soldiers are seen cutting off the tongues of some of her men. Euron has already established himself as a ruthless commander with a love for violence, he also runs a tight ship. Captured soldiers serve on his ship called ‘Silence' after having their tongues removed. Reason: no tongue, no mutiny. He doesn't kill them all; he has acquired most of Yara's men and added to his fleet.

Disclaimer: There will be some spoilers from the second episode and it’s your bad that you haven’t seen the episode yet. Now is the time to catch up, so go and watch it.

We are already in the seventh season of ‘Game of Thrones’, yet it seems as if it was only yesterday we saw Daenerys Targaryen’s badass avatar when she walked out of the fire with a dragon on her shoulder. To refresh your memories, that was in the first season. Talking about Season 1, it was special for many reasons and Arya Stark and her direwolf, Nymeria were one of them.

Arya Stark Meets Nymeria In ‘Stormborn' In Game Of Thrones 7© HBO

Let’s take you on a walk down the memory lane, in the first season Arya Stark bid adieu to Nymeria and let’s be honest, that was one of the most emotional scenes to watch, not bigger than Hodor’s death though. Now, fast forward six seasons ahead into the present time and that iconic and unexpected reunion has finally happened in the second episode of season 7, “Stormborn”.

Arya Stark Meets Nymeria In ‘Stormborn' In Game Of Thrones 7© HBO

Yes, Arya Stark finally met Nymeria (not from the Sand Snakes), which not only connected the dot left since 2011, but also gave GOT fans across the world a reason to rejoice. Now, while some were expecting Nymeria to have a bigger role to play in fulfilling Arya’s vengeance, looks like the writers brought the two together only to drift them apart after sometime. So, basically it wasn’t a reintroduction of the direwolf character, but a scene only made to appease the fans that were waiting for the two to meet.

Arya Stark Meets Nymeria In ‘Stormborn' In Game Of Thrones 7© HBO

The moment Arya was preparing to fight a group of wolves, an enormous female direwolf comes into the picture to stop them and Arya soon recognized who she was. Nymeria leads her own wolfpack now. However, when she begged Nymeria to travel to north with her, she refused and Arya was quick to notice the change in Nymeria. So, they parted their ways with Arya’s last words to her childhood pet being “That’s not you”, which is now etched in our hearts forever. You aren’t a true fan if you still didn’t get the real meaning behind this line. A small hint: the young Arya Stark had a similar conversation with her father, when she was told that she will grow up to be a lady and she had said “That’s not me”.

Apart from this tear-jerking scene, the second episode was brilliantly penned out and was really satisfying to watch. However, this episode has left us with one question. Was Nymeria’s appearance incorporated only for the fans or does she have a bigger role to play in the upcoming episodes?

The first episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ did exactly what it was meant to – tease our curiosity just enough to make us impatient for the next episode. The episode also made it quite clear that the women of GOT were here to rule and they ain’t taking shit anymore. While Arya moves on towards Kings’ Landing after a bout of badassery at the House of Frey, Daenerys arrives at Dragonstone with steely resolve in her eyes.

Much impatient as we are to see the 2nd episode, HBO has released a set of new pictures along with a brief synopsis, giving us a teaser of what is to come. The synopsis reads:

“Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon (Kit Harington) faces a revolt. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) plans the conquest of Westeros.”

Let’s look at the pictures and try to decipher what they mean:

The Pictures From Episode 2 Of Game Of Thrones S7 © HBO

Definitely a confrontation between Jon Snow and Littlefinger! About time. We wonder if Petyr Baelish will move back to Vale or if he’ll be able to change Sansa’s loyalties.

The Pictures From Episode 2 Of Game Of Thrones S7 © HBO

That looks like Yara Greyjoy and Ellaria Sand. Clearly, Daenerys is getting more allies on her side. Remember how in last season, Yara and Theon set off with a thousand ships for Mereen.

Clearly, winter has arrived. Jon Snow could be travelling in search of dragonglass, the only material that can kill a Whitewalker. Little does he know that his dear friend Sam Tarly has already stumbled upon the location of dragonglass – the map in the book says there is a mountain of dragonglass at Dragonstone.

Frankly, we are eagerly awaiting Arya’s adventures, considering her savage sequence in the first episode. From the picture, it looks like she’s still in the North, obviously because King’s Landing is a thousand miles away. But the anxious look on her face betrays a tough encounter on the way.

The Pictures From Episode 2 Of Game Of Thrones S7 © HBO

The shitty torture Samwell Tarly is subjected to still makes us want to hurl. This photograph gives us some hope he might just have been able to convince the maester of the impending danger from the whitewalkers.

Much has been said about Sansa’s new hairstyle that is strikingly similar to Cersei’s. With this grim expression in the next episode, we think there might be some hard decisions she will be seen making. There are already speculations that she might turn evil like Cersei, someone who has inadvertently taught her the ways of the world.

Winter is finally here and we bet after 13 long months, the opening episode of season 7 will leave you wanting for more by the time it ends. The GOT premiere was full of jaw-dropping events leaving us stunned and surprised. This time a lot more than just winter has arrived.

The opening scene begins between Arya (Maisie Williams) and Walder Frey (David Bradley). Donning a complete Lady Stoneheart avatar, Arya is out to seek revenge and settle the debts once and for all. We saw the head of House Frey die in last season. Arya is remorseless and you are going to love her when she says, “Tell them the North remembers. Tell them winter came for House Frey.”

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 Review© HBO

BAM! That’s one of the most sassy AF ways to begin a season. Wouldn’t you agree on that as well? Arya is cold, ruthless and unstoppable this time. We wouldn’t want to reveal what happened and how but summing it up, the man got the piece of his own meat. Just know the bloodiest massacre awaits you.

Now talking about the most talked cameo, you get a glimpse of famous singer Ed Sheeran (who plays a singing solider). Arya tells him her next destination isn’t Winterfell but King’s Landing, ‘to kill the Queen’. Cersei (Lena Headey) beware, you have no idea what destiny has planned for you.

What is winter without White Walkers? Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) has a vision that Night King is coming for them and we know Bran is always right!

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 Review© HBO

On the other side of Westeros, Jon Snow is seen discussing the White Walkers (Night King). After all, they are undoubtedly the greatest threat in the war. And we already got a coup d’oeil of what they are capable of doing in the last season. And the only way to end them is by finding Dragonglass.

The makers in the first episode itself establish the growing tension between Jon and Sansa Stark as Jon decides that to let go of Umber and Karstark and not chastise them Ramsay’s deed. That when you hear Sansa saying, “So there’s no punishment for treason and no reward for loyalty?”

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 Review© HBO

Well, well, there is going to be a tug of power between the Starks and it’s clearly evident. Wouldn’t be wrong to say that many Reddit theories already stated that Sansa might turn against her own brother, looks like this is just the start. Time for some betrayal?

And finally, what we all have been waiting to see, Cersei sends a note to Jon demanding him to bend or face the wrath of what lies ahead. You also see Littlefinger tagging along Sansa in Winterfell, after all the man wants to be repaid for saving her.

Amidst of all this, you have two Queens, who are planning to rule the iron throne and the seven kingdoms. Cersei is seen looking over a huge map of Westeros and states that she will take what is rightfully hers. While Jamie is seen wondering what are they fighting for, they have lost all that they had… Their kids and at present, they are the losing side with no allies. Jamie has got a point, you can’t win a war without an army!

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 Review© HBO

But Cersei has a plan. Wondering who is assisting her? Find it out yourself, we wouldn’t want to spoil everything for you.

Also, Sam and JORAH also get their share of screen-space. After all, Sam is working to help Jon in whichever way possible and now he knows where you can find dragonglass.

The episode leaves you on a cliffhanger as expected. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) has finally arrived home at Dragonstone. She rips off the Baratheon banner and says to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), “Shall we begin?”

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1 Review© HBO

We just can’t wait to see more of Mother of Dragons and Tyrion. And now even after this, you feel if this six seasons old show has the ability to give you goosebumps, then all we got to say it wait till you watch it.

Hold your horses, because winter is here and the bloodiest war is coming!

With the 7th season of ‘Game of Thrones’ around the corner, we can barely conceal our excitement. While we’re sure you are already revising the previous seasons, we are obsessing over the sassy insults the characters have been hurling at each other in every episode. If there’s one thing that stands out after the palace intrigues and gruesome action, it’s the clever dialogues. While we love Tyrion and Cersei for handing out the meanest of insults, there are some more hidden gems in the series that you simply cannot miss.

All the GOT fans out there, we know, you have watched the trailer many times, read enough theories and rumors, discussed what’s going to happen in the 7th season and probably have watched reruns to refresh your memory. We know you’re guilty of doing all that as much as I am. The anticipation is probably killing you by now but wait, wait till you read the titles and synopsis of the first three episodes revealed by HBO.

The Titles Of The First 3 Episodes Of ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Are Out

Here it is:

1. Dragonstone – Jon organizes the defense of the North. Cersei tries to even the odds. Daenerys, our beloved Khaleesi returns home.

2. Stormborn – Dany (Khaleesi) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon faces a revolt. Tyrion plans the conquest of westeros.

3. The Queen’s Justice – Dan holds court. Cersei returns a gift. Jaime learns from his mistakes (does that mean their incestuous relationship will come to an end?).

The Titles Of The First 3 Episodes Of ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Are Out

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has reportedly told his fans to prepare themselves as this season’s pace is a lot faster than the previous ones. “This season is really different than any other season because it’s accelerating towards the end, a lot of stuff collides and happen much much quicker than you’re used to seeing on thrones”, says Jon. “It’s so different than what everybody is used to. It’s quite exciting”, he finishes off by assuring that it’s going to be one thrilling season.

Not just him but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) with whom we have a love-hate relationship, also agreed with Kit: “I feel like I’d been lulled into a different pace. Everything happens quicker than I’m used to. A lot of things that normally take a season now take one episode.

Show-runner Dan Weiss, the producer-writer has given a much logical explanation of why the show has picked up speed: “Things are moving faster because in the world of these characters the war they’ve been waiting for is upon them. The conflicts that have been building the past six years are upon them & those facts give them a sense of urgency that makes ‘the characters’ move faster.”

The Titles Of The First 3 Episodes Of ‘Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Are Out

This might be also because as claimed by the directors themselves, they’re running out of good content to showcase in the following seasons, hence 8th is the last that will hit our TV screens and that too, only with 6 episodes. However sad that makes us, it’s also good news because the show is not going to be one of those series like “How I Met Your Mother” that are stretched for no reason at all!

Leaving that aside, we have numerous questions that can’t wait to be answered and that’s only going to happen on 16th of July, the premiere date.

Actor Nelsan Ellis, famous for his role as Lafayette Reynolds on HBO’s “True Blood”, is dead. He was 39.

The actor died on Saturday after complications from heart failure, reports variety.com.

“We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Nelsan Ellis. Nelsan was a long-time member of the HBO family whose groundbreaking portrayal of Lafayette will be remembered fondly within the overall legacy of ‘True Blood’. Nelsan will be dearly missed by his fans and all of us at HBO,” a statement issued on behalf of HBO read.

“True Blood” creator and executive producer Alan Ball echoed HBO’s epitaph in a statement of his own.

“Nelsan was a singular talent whose creativity never ceased to amaze me. Working with him was a privilege,” Ball said.

Ellis’s “The Help” co-star Octavia Spencer broke the news on Instagram on Saturday morning, saying: “Just got word that we lost (Nelsan). My heart breaks for his kids and family.”

Born in Harvey, Illinois, in 1977, he and his siblings moved to Alabama to live with their aunt before Ellis decided to move back to Chicago at age 15. At 17, he joined the Marines, but quit shortly after. After studying at the Illinois State University, Ellis went on to get his B.F.A. from Juilliard, where he just so happened to be a class above his eventual “True Blood” costar, Rutina Wesley.

After a single season on Fox’s “The Inside” opposite Rachel Nichols and Adam Baldwin and an episode of “Veronica Mars,” Ellis was then cast in the role that would define his career — gay short order cook Lafayette Reynolds.

After 80 episodes over the span of seven seasons, Ellis walked away with a handful of sought after awards: Two Satellite Awards, an Ewwy for best supporting dramatic actor, and a NewNowNext Award for actor on the brink of fame.

Following the success of “True Blood”, Ellis moved from TV to film, landing key roles in movies like “Get On Up”, “The Stanford Prison Experiment”, “Little Boxes”, “The Butler” and “The Help”. The actor was seen in a lead role on the just-wrapped fifth season of “Elementary”.

“Crushed today by the loss of my friend and castmate Nelsan Ellis,” said “True Blood” co-star Joe Manganiello.

Manganiello added: “He was a wonderful person, a pioneer, and a one of a kind artist. RIP.”

Ellis is survived by his grandmother, his father and his son, Breon, as well as seven siblings.
