Dangal, Thugs fame Prakash Bharadwaj: Can't wait for Aamir to watch my film

Prakash Bharadwaj says that his film, featuring Rituparna Sengupta and Priyanshu Chatterjee in lead roles, is a result of his learnings from Aamir Khan over the years

His box-office record is proof that Aamir Khan is a whiz when it comes to films. So, it’s not surprising that Khan’s speech and acting coach Prakash Bharadwaj is keen that the superstar be the first one to watch his directorial debut, Colours Of Life. Bharadwaj, who trained the cast of Thugs Of Hindostan — including Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh — has organised a special screening of his English film for the team.

Confirming the same, he told mid-day, “We have booked the preview theatre in Yash Raj Films for the screening of my film, on May 14. So far, the entire cast and crew have promised their presence. Since Aamir sir has been on choc-a-block schedule he hasn’t had the time to watch the film yet. I can’t wait for Aamir to see it.”

Prakash adds that the drama, featuring Rituparna Sengupta and Priyanshu Chatterjee in lead roles, is a result of his learnings from Khan over the years. “He is a masterclass by himself. I have made this movie from everything that I have learnt from him on the job.”

Slated to release on July 6, the film explores two themes — the impact of technology in our personal lives, and women empowerment.

The actress is proudly flaunting it and posing for pictures with her ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘ co-stars Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan. The actress has shared pictures from the film’s set and has captioned them as #thuglife #toh”, “Dance rehearsals.”

A few days ago, pictures of Katrina, Fatima, and Aamir shooting for a song were leaked. Knowing how guarded the makers are about the film, someone will have a lot to answer about how the pictures went viral. In the past, when Aamir Khan’s look was leaked, he had insisted on stringent security and ensured cell phones and visitors were banned on the set.

Thugs of Hindostan, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, will release during Diwali 2018. The Yash Raj Films production is being helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who directed Katrina and Aamir in Dhoom: 3. It is an adaptation of the 1839 novel “Confessions of a Thug”.

From playing his daughter in ‘Dangal’, Fatima Sana Shaikh will be playing a fellow ‘thug’ in the film ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. Fatima, is working extremely hard to get in the skin of his character. Fatima, is undergoing a rigorous physical training. She is regularly posting updates on her Instagram page about her workouts. According to a report on the website Spotboye , Aamir Khan’s trainer from ‘Dangal’, Rakesh Udiyar is training Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Rakesh has earlier trained Aamir and Fatima in Dangal. He is also responsible for Salman Khan’s fab physique in Sultan. For Fatima the celebrity instructor is relying largely on functional training.Fatima has responded well to the fitness programme. Yash Raj is also extremely happy with the results.

Thugs of Hindostan stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif. It is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is produced by Yash Raj Films. It is slated for a Diwali 2018 release.

Fans have noticed how the ‘Dangal’ actress bears a striking resemblance to ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ heroine Katrina Kaif in the photo. Fatima’s snap has been flooded with comments about how she looks like a Katrina Kaif ‘clone’. While several followers have gone gaga over how beautiful the ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ girl looks, some trolls noticed the ‘scar’ below Fatima’s belly button and commented on it, with a user even going to the extent of calling it ‘operation bitemark’.

Fatima, however, has ignored her haters and silenced them by sharing a new picture on her Instagram.

Last month, too, Fatima Sana Shaikh became the target of trolls for posting a ‘shameless’ selfie in saree. In the photo, Fatima looked elegant in her simple traditional avatar and sported long locks as part of her look for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. While Fatima received many compliments for the snapshot, some netizens trolled her and left nasty comments on her photo.

In June as well,Fatima Sana Shaikh was attacked online for wearing a swimsuit during Ramzan. She had shared a stunning photo where she is seen wearing a halter neck monokini and high waist shorts. She was posing by a pristine beach in Maldives. Fatima’s pictures, however, garnered negative response from some netizens who shamed her for wearing a swimsuit and dressing inappropriately during the holy month of Ramzan.

Aamir Khan played her on-screen father Mahavir Singh Phogat. Fatima Sana Shaikh is all set to work with her ‘Dangal’ co-star Aamir Khan again in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The Yash Raj Films project will be helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who earlier directed Aamir in ‘Dhoom 3’. The movie also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. It is the first time that Bachchan and Aamir are collaborating on a film. The movie is slated to release in Diwali 2018.

Katrina Kaif not in a hurry to choose her upcoming projects

Post this film we will be seeing Katrina in Thugs of Hindostan with superstars like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh for which she has already started shooting. She also has Anand L Rai’s untitled film under her name which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.

So, Katrina’s all the upcoming projects are with the three khans of Bollywood. Now, these projects with the khans appear to be great for Katrina’s career. However, the buzz is that the actress is not in a hurry to choose her upcoming projects.

A source revealed to a leading website, “Katrina is currently busy shooting for her films and she has decided to do certain number of films with only establish actors. So she is taking her own time to decide on her next films”.

News was that Katrina was offered some films with the newcomer actors in the past but she chose to turn them down for reasons best known to her. It is also been reported that the actress is cautious while signing new projects as her latest films Jagga Jasoos, Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho failed miserably at the box office.

Rumours of Katrina featuring in Vikas Bahl’s next Super 30 with Hrithik Roshan were also doing rounds after her pictures with Vikas went viral on the internet. However, Katrina has denied signing any projects at present.

The Bollywood industry is abuzz with the news that the Amir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’ has grossed Rs 2000 crores worldwide. But , the film’s spokesperson says that ‘Dangal’ is not quite there.

In a recent report by The Indian Express, the spokesperson for the movie said,” We have been reading a lot of reports saying that Dangal has crossed 2000 crs worldwide. Just to set the record straight, we want to clarify that Dangal’s official worldwide gross collection figure as of Thursday is 1864 crores.” The 2016 sports biopic, has, so far earned Rs 1864 crores and is quickly become the highest grossing Indian film internationally and has been setting new records for the film industry globally. ‘Dangal’ is also the highest earning Indian movie in China.

The spokesperson also added, “We are very happy that our film has been so successful, and what is of most value for Aamir Khan and the entire team of Dangal is the immense love the film has got from the audience across the globe. We are looking forward for the film to release in other untapped territories to reach more audience.”

Dangal was a biopic directed by Nitesh Tiwari and was released on December 23, 2016. Based on he life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita, the movie essays the life and training that Geeta and babita go through to become world-class wrestlers. The film has Aamir Khan playing Mahavir Singh Phogat along with Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar and Aparshakti Khurana.

Aamir Khan and Fatima will reunite for Yash Raj Film’s latest ‘Hindostan’, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya .

After breaking all records in India and China, the stellar record of this Aamir Khan starrer is touching the sky now. According to recent reports in Forbes, the movie has now touched the Rs 2000 crore mark in terms of the box office revenues.

It is already the fifth highest grossing non-English movie in the world and this record is another feather in the overflowing cap of success for the makers. The movie has some extremely strong performances by Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
