If I had the power to nominate the best celebrity Instagram account, I will probably pick Disha Patani. From giving fitness goals, travel goals, dance classes, selfie lessons or casually chilling with her dog; it won’t be wrong to say that, for many of us, she’s a reason to open Instagram every five minutes. And her recent video proves why I might be right.

While we express our love for our favourite celebrities, on social media all the time; watching our celebrities do the same for others is something that always takes us by surprise. After all, it’s not everyday that you see King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan drooling over and requesting for a selfie with Cate Blanchett, Elton John or Christopher Nolan. 

Recently Disha posted a video where she paid a tribute to her idol, Beyonce, by grooving to her iconic Coachella 2018 performance.

She captioned the video, “Wanted to make this for a very long time, just for fun, a tribute to my idol @Beyonce.” Honestly, we don’t know if the rumours of her dating Tiger Shroff are true, but her perfect dance moves has me convinced that she is secretly taking dance lessons from Tiger. Seriously, can these two start their own dance classes where they teach us how to rock that difficult choreography?

Jokes apart, these moves were taught by choreographer James and Disha even thanked him for teaching her these moves. This is not the first time and definitely not the last time when Disha is flaunting her effortless moves. Earlier she posted her version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, which we still can’t get off our minds. 

Apart from dancing, Disha is currently gearing up for ‘Bharat’, where she will be seen alongside Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial ‘Bharat’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2019. First, the news about global icon Priyanka Chopra’s lead role in the film had excited everyone and now actress Disha Patani’s playing a vital role in this film has got the fans all the more excited.

Confirming about the same, Ali revealed to Indian Express, “I’m happy to welcome Disha on board. She is a promising star. For Bharat, we needed someone who was very athletic and yet possessed a kind of vulnerable beauty and Disha perfectly fit the bill. The pairing of Salman and Disha in the set-up of a 60s circus is going to be very unusual and exciting”.

Today, director Ali also took to Twitter to break out this news about Disha. He tweeted:

I cannot wait to begin my journey with the entire Bharat team, Atul sir and Ali Abbas sir, whose work I have been a big fan of”.

Actor Disha Patani says she enjoys playing dress up for traditional Indian weddings and she personally pays a lot of attention to make-up, accessories and hair colour during such occasions. “It is so much fun to dress up for Indian weddings. Not just the huge list of ceremonies to attend, but these days we also have different wedding themes — from grand traditional heritage set up to seaside affairs…we have a host of options.

“That also gives us a chance to dress up differently and experiment with our overall look. When it comes to creating a look, I pay a lot of attention to my make-up, accessories and hair colour,” said the “Baaghi 2” actress.

The actress feels it is imperative to choose the right hair colour that matches your skin tone, features and most importantly, personality.

“Dashing hair colour can even transform a modest look, and can make you look fashionable – that’s the power of good hair colour and style,” said Disha, whose favourite hair colour shades are NEW Garnier Color Natural’s Caramel Brown and Wine Burgundy, which she says suit bright-hued Indian outfits as well as with pastel gowns.

Baaghi 2 Movie Review: Rebel without a script

Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 2 is loaded with action but is completely devoid of perspective. Watch it only if you are a die-hard action-film fan

If your idea of having a good time at the movies is Tiger Shroff flexing his muscles and breaking bones, then, my friend, you’re in for a blessed treat at the movies this week. For the rest, I guess, it’s better to enjoy the long weekend bingeing on a web series. Baaghi 2 is loaded with action but is completely devoid of perspective.

The film starts in Goa when Neha’s (Patani) daughter has been abducted and she reaches out to her college love Ronnie (Shroff), now an Army officer posted in Kashmir, for help. True to any action film, Tiger Shroff makes a grand entry by pinning down three terrorists and also tying one of them to the front of his jeep, using him as a human shield. Looks like the makers decided to pay tribute to Army Major Leetul Gogoi, who had done this in real life. Shroff leaves behind his national duty so that he can help her ex-flame. And from thereon, it becomes a cat-and-mouse game. There are enough twists in the plot about kidnapping, double cross and even deceit, but the problem lies in the sloppily written script and poor execution.

The action directors deserve a mention, but the ‘Ramboesque’ stunts in the climax sequence are hard to digest. Our desi Rambo sprays bullets and hits the bull’s eye with each, but no bullet can pierce his iron body.

Shroff and Patani have hardly any time to show their on-screen chemistry. Tiger Shroff has already proved that he is a solid action hero. However, it’s time he stepped out of the maar-dhaad zone and shone with the aid of an actual script. Disha Patani has little to do as a damsel in distress. Of the supporting cast, Manoj Bajpayee and Deepak Dobriyal are convincing while Prateik Babbar is clearly off the mark. Randeep Hooda as a hippie chillum smoking cop who is called LSD and loves taking selfies shines with his performance.

At 145 minutes, Baaghi 2 seems so long that by the end, I started counting the minutes…. ek, do, teen just like the unwanted remix starring Jacqueline Fernandez. By the end credit, I also remembered that Baaghi 3 is on its way in a few years. This Tiger is going to be alive and kicking.

Baaghi 2’s new song, Lo Safar featuring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani redefines love

The makers of Baaghi 2 have released the third song of the film titled Lo Safar. Featuring a rugged and resolute Tiger Shroff, the song promises to unravel the emotional journey of Tiger’s character Ronnie as he goes about in search of a missing child as well as the love of his life.  The song gives a glimpse of how the college sweethearts are madly in love and decide to get married.

Lo Safar depicts how the love between Ronnie and Neha see no distance. The rebel Tiger Shroff, for love, has a story to tell and it’s sure to touch you with emotions filled with care. The rumoured couple, Disha Patani and Tiger’s heart-touching chemistry is delectable.

Composed by Mithoon and written by  Sayeed Quadri, Lo Safar is a passionate romantic track sung by Jubin Nauityal. Talking about the song, singer Jubin Nautiyal comments,  “I’m quite fond of this song personally. It is an honest love song and I’ve sung it keeping in mind the innocence of the situation. It feels great to lend my voice to Tiger Shroff for the first time and I’m pretty certain the audience will relate to it. My combination with Mithoon has worked pretty well with Tum Mere Ho song and it is always a pleasure to work with such melodic composers.” 

Baaghi 2 is a fierce, action-packed film all set to hit the silver screens on March 30 this year. Directed by Ahmed Khan the film is co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner name Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. 

Tiger Shroff has taken the action a notch higher than what we had seen in the prequel. The film brings to celluloid the charming Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani together for the very first time. 

Baaghi 2 also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Pratiek Babbar and Randeep Hooda.

Disha Patani, gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Baaghi 2, says it is tough to cope up with the energy level of her co-star Tiger Shroff. The junior Shroff is considered as one of the best dancers from the Hindi film industry. Asked about her experience of dancing along with Tiger, Disha said: “I am very excited for ‘Baaghi 2’. The trailer is coming on February 21, so let’s see. I can’t wait to see the trailer of our film. I had to do a lot of hard work because he is very hardworking and to cope up with his energy levels, is very hard. It was difficult, but we share a rapport together, and I managed it.”

Disha was present at the Nykaa.com Femina Beauty Awards on Thursday in Mumbai. On her experience working with director Ahmed Khan in Baaghi 2, she said, “He is amazing and he is such a darling. Whatever I have performed in the film, is because of him.”

Disha is known for her amazing dancing skills and she combines her dancing with her daily routine of exercise. She keeps posting her dance videos on Instagram and these are well-received by netizens. “I do it as a hobby. I like dancing and I want to learn different forms of dancing.”

Asked about a negative thing she feels she has in her personality, Disha said, “I am socially super awkward but I can fake it well.”

Disha Patani recently did a photoshoot for a magazine and she left very little to the imagination. The ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ actress posted the images of herself on her Instagram. Her unbuttoned shirt looks figuratively took the Internet by storm. 

She has also posted a picture of herself lying in a white swimsuit, that is making her look like a Greek goddess. 

She has posted another picture of herself from the shoot and this time she has gone bolder than the last time. 'Student Of The Year' sequel put on backburner?

Karan Johar announced a sequel to Student Of The Year (2012) over a year ago. To be helmed by Punit Malhotra, it stars Tiger Shroff.

In the last few days, KJo has been making announcements galore about his upcoming productions, which include Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan and Kesari with Akshay Kumar. There has been silence on the Student Of The Year 2 front.

It was said that Punit was reworking the script. Names of several star kids like Jahnvi Kapoor did the rounds, besides Tiger’s rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani as probable female actors. Nothing moved on the front and now there’s buzz that it has been put on the backburner.
