‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was nothing short of a masterpiece. It has grossed more than $2 billion at the box office and a sizeable chunk of that money may just be because of people watching the movie more than once.
But, even after watching what is being touted as ‘the largest crossover event in history’ twice, there are certainly going to be a few things you still don’t get. If you consider yourself an expert on the Marvel Cinematic Universe here’s a test of your knowledge. How many of these things did you notice about ‘Avengers: Infinity War?’ It took us multiple viewings to notice them:
Dr. Strange’s sword

Yes, the Sorcerer Supreme doesn’t just rely on the mystic arts. While there have been multiple occasions in the comics when Dr. Strange has relied on weapons, this is the first time we got to see him rely on one in the MCU. Albeit a magical sword, at the very least, it’s a nod to the Strange of the comics for sure.
There are so many things happening on screen when Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Guardians Of The Galaxy and Dr. Strange are taking on Thanos on his home planet of Titan. But, if you pay close attention, you’ll notice the sword in Strange’s hand while taking on Thanos.
The Chitauri

Yes, the Chitauri were in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ No, there were no flashbacks of the Battle of New York which you missed. There was no extra end-credit scene you forgot to watch.
Remember the flashback when Thanos met Gamora for the first time? He had ordered the massacre of half the people on her home planet of Zen-Whoberi. Who were those soldiers who did the killing? Yeah, they were the Chitauri. It’s a nice way of tying in with the events of the ‘Avengers’. The Chitauri are Thanos’ army and while they’re all dead in the present, there’s no doubt over whose command they were under.
Gamora isn’t dead

Okay, this is a little complicated, so keep track. The Soul Stone was the one Infinity Stone we hadn’t heard or seen in the MCU till ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ While Gamora seemed to know about it all along, it’s only now that we, the viewer, got to know about its existence and location.
Thanos had to sacrifice the person he loved the most, i.e., Gamora, in order to get the Soul Stone. Everyone thought that was the end of Gamora. But, on closer inspection, we realised that Gamora is actually trapped in the Soul World. She isn’t dead. We even got to see her at the end when Thanos snaps his finger and enters the ethereal plane briefly. Remember?
Vision isn’t dead

The only superhero to die twice in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ there may just be something you’ve missed when it comes to this android’s death. First, Scarlet Witch kills him to prevent Thanos from getting the Mind Stone, then Thanos turns back time and kills him while also getting his hands on the Mind Stone.
But, if you remember the time in Shuri’s lab, Wakanda’s Head of Science & Information Exchange pushed some buttons just before Corvus Glaive attacked her and Vision. Shuri had already been working on separating Vision from the Mind Stone. Maybe she succeeded? Vision has proven to be quite strong in previous movies and was a shadow of his former self while taking on the Black Order and Thanos in Wakanda. Yes, he was beaten but maybe it’s because Shuri was able to extract a part of him?
Everyone who disintegrated isn’t dead

How can we make such an assumption? Well, we have a pretty good reason actually. Remember when Dr. Strange looked through some 14 million different possibilities and found only one in which they could defeat Thanos? We’re guessing that’s the plan they decided to stick with. I mean, why wouldn’t they? Before disintegrating, you’ll remember Strange’s last words to Stark, “there was no other way.” That pretty much means Strange has already set the one possible way to defeat Thanos in motion.

It goes without saying that disintegration was a part of Strange’s plan. He knew that was going to be the first thing Thanos did when he got all the Infinity Stones, right? But, he can’t be dead. Why? We’ll have to go back to ‘Doctor Strange’ to answer that. Remember when the Ancient One was dying? Remember what she tells Strange? “I spent so many years peering through time… looking at this exact moment. But I can’t see past it.” She’s basically telling Strange that they can’t use the Time Stone to look past their own deaths. So, that pretty much means, Dr. Strange isn’t dead. Could it be that they have all gone to the Soul World? We’ll have to wait till 3rd May 2019 to find out.
