‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was nothing short of a masterpiece. It has grossed more than $2 billion at the box office and a sizeable chunk of that money may just be because of people watching the movie more than once.

But, even after watching what is being touted as ‘the largest crossover event in history’ twice, there are certainly going to be a few things you still don’t get. If you consider yourself an expert on the Marvel Cinematic Universe here’s a test of your knowledge. How many of these things did you notice about ‘Avengers: Infinity War?’ It took us multiple viewings to notice them:

Dr. Strange’s sword

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Yes, the Sorcerer Supreme doesn’t just rely on the mystic arts. While there have been multiple occasions in the comics when Dr. Strange has relied on weapons, this is the first time we got to see him rely on one in the MCU. Albeit a magical sword, at the very least, it’s a nod to the Strange of the comics for sure.

There are so many things happening on screen when Iron Man, Spider-Man, the Guardians Of The Galaxy and Dr. Strange are taking on Thanos on his home planet of Titan. But, if you pay close attention, you’ll notice the sword in Strange’s hand while taking on Thanos.

The Chitauri

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Yes, the Chitauri were in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ No, there were no flashbacks of the Battle of New York which you missed. There was no extra end-credit scene you forgot to watch.

Remember the flashback when Thanos met Gamora for the first time? He had ordered the massacre of half the people on her home planet of Zen-Whoberi. Who were those soldiers who did the killing? Yeah, they were the Chitauri. It’s a nice way of tying in with the events of the ‘Avengers’. The Chitauri are Thanos’ army and while they’re all dead in the present, there’s no doubt over whose command they were under.

Gamora isn’t dead

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Okay, this is a little complicated, so keep track. The Soul Stone was the one Infinity Stone we hadn’t heard or seen in the MCU till ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ While Gamora seemed to know about it all along, it’s only now that we, the viewer, got to know about its existence and location.

Thanos had to sacrifice the person he loved the most, i.e., Gamora, in order to get the Soul Stone. Everyone thought that was the end of Gamora. But, on closer inspection, we realised that Gamora is actually trapped in the Soul World. She isn’t dead. We even got to see her at the end when Thanos snaps his finger and enters the ethereal plane briefly. Remember?

Vision isn’t dead

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

The only superhero to die twice in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ there may just be something you’ve missed when it comes to this android’s death. First, Scarlet Witch kills him to prevent Thanos from getting the Mind Stone, then Thanos turns back time and kills him while also getting his hands on the Mind Stone.

But, if you remember the time in Shuri’s lab, Wakanda’s Head of Science & Information Exchange pushed some buttons just before Corvus Glaive attacked her and Vision. Shuri had already been working on separating Vision from the Mind Stone. Maybe she succeeded? Vision has proven to be quite strong in previous movies and was a shadow of his former self while taking on the Black Order and Thanos in Wakanda. Yes, he was beaten but maybe it’s because Shuri was able to extract a part of him?

Everyone who disintegrated isn’t dead

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

How can we make such an assumption? Well, we have a pretty good reason actually. Remember when Dr. Strange looked through some 14 million different possibilities and found only one in which they could defeat Thanos? We’re guessing that’s the plan they decided to stick with. I mean, why wouldn’t they? Before disintegrating, you’ll remember Strange’s last words to Stark, “there was no other way.” That pretty much means Strange has already set the one possible way to defeat Thanos in motion.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Facts You'll Eventually Realise© Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

It goes without saying that disintegration was a part of Strange’s plan. He knew that was going to be the first thing Thanos did when he got all the Infinity Stones, right? But, he can’t be dead. Why? We’ll have to go back to ‘Doctor Strange’ to answer that. Remember when the Ancient One was dying? Remember what she tells Strange? “I spent so many years peering through time… looking at this exact moment. But I can’t see past it.” She’s basically telling Strange that they can’t use the Time Stone to look past their own deaths. So, that pretty much means, Dr. Strange isn’t dead. Could it be that they have all gone to the Soul World? We’ll have to wait till 3rd May 2019 to find out.

A lot of us are still reeling from the tragic ending of ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ How could Marvel do that to us??? Don’t worry, if you’re one of the select few who still haven’t gotten around to seeing the movie, we won’t be spoiling it for you here.

Even though ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was probably the darkest Marvel movie to date, there’s no reason why the cast couldn’t have had a lot of fun during filming. Here’s a taste of what went on behind the scenes.

This is the closest thing we have to a blooper reel right now and while we’re sure they will release more behind the scenes footage over the next few months, this is the only thing we have to hang on to right now.

But, don’t worry, we’re not going to let you go without some laughs. No one is perfect and it’s pretty obvious that the actors would make some hilarious mistakes while shooting. Here’s a collection of multiple blooper reels from the past Marvel films.

If you aren’t laughing or haven’t at least cracked a smile after watching that, we apologise. Promise to try harder next time. 😀

Mr. Bachchan is the boss on Twitter and there is no one who can say otherwise. At times he blatantly trolls people and at times becomes a victim himself. The Internet is a savage place and there is no one who can escape its cruel sting, not even Big B.

Remember when Amitabh Bachchan scolded Anushka Sharma on Twitter for not replying to his text message? Or when he savagely trolled Twitter requesting it to increase his followers?

This time, taking to his Twitter he tweeted, “Achha bhai sahib, bura na manana, ek picture dekhne gaye, ‘Avengers’… kuch samajh mein nahi aaya ke picture mein kya ho raha hai !!!!!!!”

Yes, it has been two weeks since the movie released but I’m not done writing about it and seems like people are still not done reading about it. So please just chill alright, there’s no need to hate on us in the comments. Capeesh?

The Lines Improvised By The Actors In 'Infinity War'

Okay, so let’s proceed. At this point I’m just going to assume that everyone has already seen ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, so a disclaimer for spoilers is not really needed.

If you’re a Marvel fan, you know how much actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like to improvise a lot of their lines and scenes. After all, when you have such great and talented actors, you can always expect them to give everything they have and then some more.

While we already know a lot of the improvised lines from previous movies – we have a list  if you’re interested, because shameless self-promo – but today we’ll just focus on ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ because with so many incredible actors you get a lot of hilarious and heart-breaking improvised lines.

1. “Notice you copied my beard.”

The Lines Improvised By The Actors In 'Infinity War'

‘Infinity War’ was not only the biggest and most anticipated movie of the year, but it was also the big debut of Chris Evans’ beard (which has now turned into a pornstache because good things don’t last long).

Remember Thor’s epic entrance in Wakanda, after which the whole theatre started cheering? Well, after that he had a mini-reunion with Captain America, where he says that Cap here copied him. Turns out it was all Chris Hemsworth.

2. “Adults are talking”

The Lines Improvised By The Actors In 'Infinity War'

After their battle with Ebony Maw and plenty of pop culture references, Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, and Peter Parker are regrouping when Peter proclaims that he’s “backup”, and Tony quickly retorts by stating that the “adults are talking”. It was a nice comic relief moment during an intense scene, but it turns out that it wasn’t a part of the script.

Robert Downey Jr has been playing the character of Tony Stark/Iron Man for ten years now and looks like he’s reached a point where he doesn’t need small things like scripts to hold him back. He knows exactly what Tony would say or do and he’s almost always right.

3. “I’m sorry, Mr Stark, I don’t want to go”

The Lines Improvised By The Actors In 'Infinity War'

It’s not only Tony Stark who’s teaching Peter Parker well, but it also seems like Robert Downey Jr is also teaching Tom Holland a thing or two. As everyone knows, this was – 1. The most heart-breaking line in the entire movie and 2. It was completely improvised by Tommy here.

Such pure talent at such a young age, fill props to Tom Holland.

Also, let’s move on to the next one because I’m done reliving Spider-Man’s death scene.

4.”Why is Gamora?”

The Lines Improvised By The Actors In 'Infinity War'

Yes, everyone knows about this one also, but I had to put, it’s one of the funniest lines in the movie and it increased my love for Drax and Dave Bautista tenfold.

Such a simple line yet it had the power to make everyone laugh out loud. Good job, Drax. Also, if he’s not back in the next movie, get ready for my own Infinity War with Marvel.

Also, I’m pretty sure it was at this point when Tony lost all hope of surviving.

Right now, these are all the improvised lines I could find and I’ll be sure to add more if and when we get to know about them.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was truly an emotional journey, the deaths, the defeat(?). It was more than everything we all expected out of the movie that was like a culmination of the last ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

While it was incredible and truly iconic to see so many superheroes come together for one goal – to somehow defeat Thanos – there was obviously a lit bit of confusion that came with that.

Fans left the theatre needing a little bit of emotional support and a lot of questions, and we are here to answer some of them.

1. Where The Hell Was The Hulk During The Whole Movie?

The Hulk is obviously an integral part of MCU and is also an OG Avenger, but sadly the green angry giant was missing throughout the movie and only made an appearance in the first scene. Yes, the internal war between Bruce Banner and the Hulk was quite hilarious to watch, but we still were hoping for the Hulk to make an entrance at the most crucial time and help out everyone.

But, nope, that didn’t happen. We were all hoping for ‘Hulk smash’, but all we got was apparently ‘Hulk scared’ after the giant purple grape kicked his green ass in the beginning. Only, that’s what we thought, but turns out it’s not really accurate.

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

The Russo brothers explained that they wanted to explore the relationship between Bruce Banner and the Hulk a little more. “These two beings don’t like each other and don’t like helping each other,” Joe said. “We thought it would be more interesting to explore Banner as a hero. We thought it would be a more interesting choice to take him down a path where the Hulk is not interested in helping him anymore. That these two have reached an impasse with each other and Banner has to rise to the occasion.”

“I think people have interpreted that Hulk’s scared,” Joe said. “[And] certainly, he’s had his ass kicked before and he loves a good fight, but I think it’s really reflective of the journey from ‘Ragnarok,’ that these two characters are constantly in conflict with each other over control. And I think if Hulk were to say why [he didn’t return in ‘Infinity War’], he’d say, ‘Banner only wants Hulk for fighting’. He’s had enough of saving Banner’s ass.”

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

2. Why Are So Many Scenes From The Trailer Not In The Actual Movie?

We’ve already covered a list of scenes from the trailer that never made it into the movie, and I would also like to clarify that all of them are true, even though a lot of people in the comments didn’t believe so. (Go watch the movie again before you come to fight!)

Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s come back to the question that actually has a very simple answer. Seems like the makers expected everyone to rip every little scene from the trailer apart and base theories and predictions off it before even watching the movie, so this was done to keep the actual movie kind of a surprise for everyone.

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

“That shot that you’re referencing was never in the movie in the version that you saw. It was never even created for the movie in that version. It was literally created in that version for the trailer.” If you couldn’t tell, we’re back to talking about the Hulk here.

They added, “We use all the material that we have at our disposal to create a trailer. We look at the trailer as a very different experience than the movie, and I think audiences are so predictive now that you have to be very smart about how you craft a trailer because an audience can watch a trailer and basically tell you what’s gonna happen in the film. We consume too much content. So at our disposal are lots of different shots that aren’t in the movie that we can manipulate through CG to tell a story that we want to tell specifically for the purpose of the trailer and not for the film.”

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

3. How Did They Choose Who Would Survive In ‘Infinity War’?

As much as I would like to avoid talking about that ending, we have to, as it was the most crucial part of the movie. As we all know, Thanos succeeded in collecting all the infinity stones and killed(?) half of the universe.

But, with so many characters all together in one movie, it would have been a very huge and difficult decision to decide who will die – or disintegrate – and who will clearly survive to be a part of the next one for sure. (Yes, there is a big possibility that almost everyone will be back, especially with so many billion-dollar franchises at stake)

'Infinity War' Directors Answered Most Asked Questions

“All of our choices are based on the story,” Anthony explained. “It’s based upon the road that these characters have travelled, in not only this movie, but throughout the entire entity up to this point because, again, these movies are the culmination. So, all we can say is that they are very focused story choices.”

So, it looks like they made a decision to kill off almost everyone but the original Avengers, maybe as a way of letting ‘Avengers 4’ serve as a closing to the original team’s story. But, when asked about this particular point, they only had one word to say – “Interesting”.

Avengers: Infinity War topples The Jungle Book to emerge as the highest grossing international film by hitting Rs 200.39 crore so far

Avengers: Infinity War

Even on home turf, Bollywood’s superstars have been unable to match up to the bevy of superheroes that graced our cinema halls two weeks ago. Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has become the first Hollywood film, and the only other movie after Padmaavat, to breach the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, which hit screens in January, earned Rs 302.15 crore.

With this feat, Infinity War has toppled The Jungle Book [Rs 180 crore] to emerge as the highest grossing Hollywood film in India by hitting Rs 200.39 crore so far.

Trade analyst Amod Mehra says, “It is amazing yet astonishing to see a Hollywood film doing such good business. The film has been doing well at both, single screens and multiplexes. The Indian film industry needs to pull up its socks. We need more films like Dangal or a Baahubali [to match up to their creations].”

Interestingly, Avengers: Infinity War, which entered its third week today, continues to carry promise for theatre owners. “We’ve received a decent response to advance booking for Avengers for the next three days as well.”

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was a masterpiece, no doubt about that. After all, it has been almost two weeks since it was released and here we are still talking about it, and we probably will until the next Avengers movie comes out next year.

Remember that meme about it being the biggest, most ambitious cross-over yet? If you have watched the movie, you know it wasn’t an exaggeration. The movie brought so many brilliant actors together and tied all the characters together perfectly, and when you have such incredible actors, you know they’re going to give everything they have, way more than just coming in and delivering their lines.

Drax Improvised The Funniest Line In 'Infinity War'

We already know that so many actors, who are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like to improvise their lines and ‘Infinity War’ was no different.

Last week, we got to know that Tom Holland, aka Spider-Man, came up with the most heartbreaking line in the entire movie himself. You know what I’m talking about – “I don’t feel so good Mr. Stark. I don’t want to go, please I don’t want to go Mr. Stark. I am sorry, Tony, I am sorry.”

Drax Improvised The Funniest Line In 'Infinity War'

Okay, brb. Need to cry first for just reliving this moment.

Now that I’m all cried out, let’s try to lighten the mood and look at some of the most hilarious lines in the movie, actually one particular line. We have already listed our favourite dialogues from the movie, and obviously “why is Gamora?” was a part of it.

But, the best line from the movie just got even better. But before we go further, we need to relive this one.

Drax Improvised The Funniest Line In 'Infinity War'

Peter Quill: “I’m gonna ask you this one time: Where is Gamora?”

Tony Stark: “Yeah, I’ll do you one better. Who is Gamora?”

Drax: “I’ll do you one better. Why is Gamora?”

And, this was followed by the entire theatre laughing. It turns out this was completely improvised by Dave Bautista aka Drax and my love for Drax just increased right now.

In an interview with Yahoo, ‘Infinity War’s two screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that Bautista completely ad-libbed the line, prompting Markus to recall, “OK, you’re very good at your job.”

Drax Improvised The Funniest Line In 'Infinity War'

Good job, Drax. Also, side note, if they don’t bring him back, I will start my own Infinity War with Marvel.

Now, if it turns out “I am Steve Rogers” was improvised, I will die.

Yes, ‘Infinity War’ has already earned over a billion dollars at the box office and while I still believe it won’t be the highest grossing movie of all time, it looks like it will make it into the top 3 or 4. But, that’s money which goes into the studios pocket. What about the actors? Think they could have made deals where they got a percentage of the box office earnings of the film?

Highly unlikely given the money- making juggernaut that Marvel Studios has become today. Maybe a few of them negotiated their contracts keeping this in mind. Just imagine how much money they could earn. But, who could have predicted this? With the MCU not existing until Iron Man, and superhero movies not known to become box-office successes, it’s highly unlikely anyone would have opted for a percentage cut instead of a few million up front.

But, enough about that, we’re all here to find out how much each actor earned for the part they played in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ Now, you need to understand that this is probably the biggest lead cast in the history of cinema (at least the biggest I can remember). So, it makes this sense that this is also among the most expensive movies ever made. Director Joe Russo has said that most of the presumed $300-400 million budget has gone towards paying the cast. Maybe all of it did with a separate budget for everything else? But, who gets how much? Let’s take a look:

Captain America – Chris Evans

He’s the leader of the Avengers. But, when it comes to earnings, he’s nowhere near the top. Chris Evans earned around $8 million (reportedly) for his appearance in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ While this is much more than what he earned for ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ which was a measly $150,000 (reportedly) it’s still nowhere near as much as what some of his co-stars earned.

Thor – Chris Hemsworth

Fresh off the success of ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ Chris makes another appearance just a few months later in this one. But, while some say he earned in excess of $31 million for his role in that movie, for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ he earned a modest $12 million. If only I could ever see the day when $12 million was a modest figure for me. : (

Black Panther – Chadwick Boseman

‘Black Panther’ was a box office success earning more than $1 billion. Unfortunately for Chadwick, since this was his first lead role as the Black Panther (‘Captain America: Civil War’ was not a lead role) he didn’t earn a huge paycheck. Some reports say he learned less than a million dollars for playing the King of Wakanda. Given the movie’s success, it’s obvious that he would have got a pay bump for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ but it doesn’t look like he would have got more than $2-3 million for his role.

The Hulk – Mark Ruffalo

The green giant is known for causing the most destruction among the Avengers and that may just be the reason he takes home such a small paycheck. Ruffalo as the Hulk doesn’t have a solo movie to his credit (yet), and as much as we hope that changes in the future, it’s highly unlikely. Mark has done a lot of the mo-cap work for the Hulk in these movies. But, the amount of money it takes to bring this Avenger to life on the big screen is unlike any other. While the Hulk may be the most expensive Avenger to put on-screen, Ruffalo doesn’t earn more than a few million for his part, $5-6 million to be precise.

Black Widow – Scarlett Johansson

She’s the highest earning female Avenger. Considering the kind of power the other female Avengers have (Scarlet Witch & Captain Marvel) it would take something special for Scarlett to stand out on the big screen. She does manage to hold her own even when on-screen with many big name superheroes though and that’s perhaps why she has earned a reported $20 million for ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ This would make her the second highest earning Avenger. Wonder what Hawkeye has to say about this…

Doctor Strange – Benedict Cumberbatch

While Benedict Cumberbatch may be perfect for the role of the Sorcerer Supreme it seems highly unlikely that he would have got paid a lot for his first role as Doctor Strange in the movie of the same name. Yes, he was a pretty big name even before they cast him but that’s not reason enough for Marvel to cough up the big bucks. His movie did do well though and that may just be reason enough for Marvel to loosen those purse strings for him this time around. Still, he’s reported to have earned around $5 million for playing the character in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ That’s not too much, is it?

Thanos – Josh Brolin

Thanos has made appearances in post-credit scenes since ‘Avengers’ and has also made an appearance in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy.’ But, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is the Mad Titan’s first major role in the MCU and Josh Brolin absolutely nailed it. But, does that mean he would get paid a lot? Of course not. He got around $5-6 million and considering he has the most screen time among all the stars you could say he got the least per minute pay.

Loki – Tom Hiddleston

He was the most talked about villain in the MCU till Thanos stole that thunder from him in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ Still, he has earned quite a decent sum over the years and may just end up being the highest paid super villain in the MCU overall. He was, reportedly, paid around $8 million to play the God of Mischief in ‘Infinity War’ and considering how little screen time he has in the movie that makes him one of the highest paid in terms of per minute pay.

Star-Lord – Chris Pratt

Pratt was relatively unknown before ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1’ made him a household name. Yes, he did enjoy some success in ‘Parks & Recreation’ but it was nothing compared to the global stardom he enjoys now. Even ‘Jurassic World’ may have something to do with that but Guardians will always be where it began. Pratt is reported to have been paid $1.5 million for ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1’ and even though it’s been 4 years since that movie racked in millions at the box office, Pratt is rumoured to have earned around $5 million for his role in this one.

Rocket  Raccoon – Bradley Cooper

There’s only one reason Bradley Cooper is on this list and that’s because he’s one of the two Guardians of the Galaxy who only have voice acting to do. Actually, that’s not the reason, the reason is because I want to point out the disparity between both of them. Cooper doesn’t earn more than a few million for each movie. Why is this relevant? Wait till we get to Vin Diesel/Groot.

Spider-Man – Tom Holland

He’s the youngest superhero who’s a part of the Avengers and also has a solo movie to his credit. After the success of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and the relative success of Andrew Garfield too, Holland had some seriously big shoes to fill. He made it work, though. Marvel has hit the nail on the head with most casting choices and this one is no different. While surrounded by so many big names, Spider-Man still manages to stand out. Tom Holland has many years of acting ahead of him and given that he’s started out with such a big franchise, the future is bright. He earned around $3 million for his role in ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’

Iron Man – Robert Downey Jr.

The man we’ve all been waiting to read about. Let’s face it, most of you are only here to find out how much Robert earned. Again, while we don’t have any official numbers, rumours put his earnings for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ at $50 million. Talk about disparity. Actually, considering the entire MCU would not have taken off without ‘Iron Man’ it’s only fair that Downey gets a huge number for every movie. He is supposed to be the highest paid actor in the MCU. There’s only one other man who can compete. The name will shock you…

Groot – Vin Diesel

Yup, big Vin is reported to have been paid $54 million for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.’ That’s an astounding figure when you think about it. He doesn’t even do the mo-cap for Groot. It’s just his voice that warrants that amount. Sit back and let that sink in for a minute. The only thing we can say in Marvel’s defence is that he was already a pretty successful Hollywood actor before they signed him. While most others tasted success only after their roles in the MCU, Diesel already has ‘xXx’ and the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchises to support him not to mention a number of other box-office successes. Could Marvel have signed someone else to voice Groot at a much lower price? Of course, but then he wouldn’t be Vin. Would he?

(As much as I tried to get confirmed numbers, Disney doesn’t reveal anything in terms of how much their actors are paid. So, must of the numbers here are based on rumours and confirmations from unidentified sources.)

The one main thing that ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ has done, besides playing with our feelings, is make us want binge-watch the entire thing. Doesn’t matter if you have been religiously following it for a decade or just became a fan recently after this incredible movie, everyone must feel like watching all the movies that led up to this masterpiece.

Since all the movies are linked in a lot of ways, it would be such a good idea to just have a recap of it all, and then you can maybe also figure out that when did Marvel become so sadistic.

The Perfect Order To Watch All The MCU Movies

But, the main question is what order you should follow while watching or re-watching all the 18 movies that came before ‘Infinity War’?

Well, if you’re going on a binge-spree, the most logical one would be to follow the order Marvel intended, the order they were released in, but there could be a different way, maybe even a better way.
