While we are back to work mode after the holidays, it’s still vacay time for a bunch of Bollywood and television divas. Our favourite girls are having a blast by the sea and we’re stuck in our offices. Sigh! rajini_aamir A video clip of Aamir Khan talking about superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film 2.o has surfaced on Twitter. In this, Aamir Khan reveals in the interview that director Shankar had offered him the film. No, it is not Akshay Kumar’s role, but Rajini’s. Aamir explains how 2.0 is going to be a blockbuster. He said, “I am a big fan of Shankar and I am a big fan of Rajini ji and Shankar offered me that film. Super duper hit film hai wo (It is a super hit film). It is a blockbuster. It is going to break all records.”

Aamir also explained to host Komal Nahta that Rajinikanth himself thought that he was not well and suggested to Shankar that Aamir should do the film. Aamir said, “Rajini sir called me and said please do the film.” So why did he not do the film? The Thugs of Hindostan actor explains, “It is a super script. It is going to do very well. But whenever I used to shut my eyes, I used to see Rajini sir in that role. I couldn’t see myself. Emotionally, I couldn’t do that role. When I used to think of the film, or scene I saw Rajini sir. So then I told Shankar that I will not be able to do the film. Only Rajini sir can do this. He is irreplaceable.”

Aamir also spoke about how the prequel Robot starring Rajinikanth was imprinted in his mind and he loved it. This also happens to be the reason why Aamir cannot imagine anyone in the role.

Rajinikanth’s 2.0, in the meantime, is set to release during the Republic Day weekend in 2018. Before that, a grand music launch is being organised on October 27 at Burj Park in Dubai. The film also stars Amy Jackson in a pivotal role. The music for this film is composed by AR Rahman.

Recently, Amy Jackson made headlines for being the leading lady of 2018’s biggest film ‘2.0′, starring superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. But, before we see her share the big screen with them, we will be seeing her make her American television debut.

Amy tweeted about what she has been doing while in Canada these past few weeks. She revealed that she has been roped in for the popular American TV series ‘Super girl’.

She will be playing the role of ‘Saturn Girl’ and according to her official description, Saturn Girl “uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need. She was born on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, and arrives on Earth to help ‘Supergirl’ (played by Melissa Benoist) battle one of her biggest threats.”

The show’s official Twitter account has also confirmed Jackson’s involvement and along with Jackson, there will be a lot of new additions to the show in the upcoming third season.

Amy Jackson is set to make her acting debut in the US with the Supergirl series. The British-born actor will make her debut in season three as Imra Ardeen, aka Saturn Girl, a strong-willed hero who uses her telekinetic ability to help those in need.

The show airs from October 9 and is based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. On the Bollywood front, Jackson will next be seen in the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0.

Fans are already disappointed as ‘2.0’ was supposed to hit the theatres this Diwali but will be releasing in January 2018. Well, we totally get how Superstar Rajinikanth feels sad about the delay but worry not, director Shankar has finally shared a glimpse of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘2.0’.

It’s not the trailer or the teaser but something even better. We finally get to see the making of the movie. Going by this 2-minute clip, we can see that the team has gone a step further to make this larger and better film. This installment definitely appears grander than the first one.

The highlight of the video shows some amazing shots of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar on the sets, grabbing our attention. Just one look at the video and we bet fans are going to have a very entertaining time.

The clip gives us a sneak-peek of the various stages of the movie making. Well, we already know Rajinikanth will be seen as Chitti, a robot. Akshay, on the other hand, will be seen in an all new avatar as the main antagonist Dr. Richards.

In order to promote the film, the makers are coming up with new ideas. A 100-foot hot-air balloon with a huge image of Rajinikanth and Akshay will travel around the world. Recently, people got a glimpse of it at Hollywood signage in Los Angeles.

‘2.0’ is said to be the costliest Asian film ever made at a budget of Rs 400 crore. Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey will also be seen playing some vital roles in the film.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2018, in over 7000 screens. And the music is given by none other than AR Rahman. This film has all the ingredients to be Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film next year.
