Over the last few weeks, ‘Race 3’ has been making the headlines. And most of the attention it garnered is because of the star cast of the film.

Initially, we only knew about Salman Khan joining the third installment of the film series which honestly, was enough reason for the country to go haywire. We also got to know that the beautiful Jacqueline Fernandez would in a leading role.

But then Salman went ahead and revealed the entire cast of the movie and everyone was shocked, to say the least.

His tweet revealed that they will be joined by Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem in the lead.

It was rather disappointing for the fans of the franchise to see that none of the actors from the original film were reprising their roles especially Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor. Their roles in the first two parts have become somewhat iconic and it was hard to imagine the third part without them. 

But much to our delight, Anil Kapoor who played the role of a private detective, Robert D’Costa aka R.D in the previous two films, is back on board to join the film!

And yet again, it was Salman Khan who provided us with proof of this news with another tweet.

R. D’s double-meaning dialogues are synonymous with the movie series and his relationship with his previous two ‘assistants’ were extremely fun to watch. However, we don’t know which actress would be opposite him this time.

Also, seeing Kapoor and Khan onscreen together after a long time is sure to make fans go crazy as their comic chemistry in two of the blockbusters- ‘Biwi No. 1’ and ‘No Entry’ was immensely liked by the audience.

Managing director of TIPS, Ramesh Taurani also took to his Twitter to make the announcement.

We can’t agree more with his caption!

Apart from ‘Race 3’ we would get to see more of Anil Kapoor in the coming years as the actor is currently filming ‘Fanne Khan’ which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao. 

Helmed by Remo D’Souza, ‘Race 3’ went on floors this November and is expected to release on Eid in 2018.

It’s safe to say that 2017 was an excellent year for Rajkummar Rao. Despite riding on back to back hits, the actor isn’t stopping anytime soon. And same is the case with Shraddha Kapoor. Although her films haven’t done as well as Rao’s, she does have a few projects in her kitty like the biopic on Indian badminton champion Saina Nehwal, that have got us more than excited.

But the news that came in today is like the cherry on top of the cake, because we are all for watching fresh pairings in Bollywood movies.

We recently learned that producer Dinesh Vijan is coming on board to co-produce a horror- comedy with Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru. The three previously worked together for ‘Go Goa Gone’ and we all know how well that ended.

However, that isn’t even the good part. The fact that the horror-comedy would be starring Rajkummar Rao made us and his fans ecstatic as it would be the first time Rao would be starring in a movie of this not-so-common genre. The female lead, though was not finalized and the team was busy scouting.

And it looks like their hunt has finally ended with Shraddha Kapoor. Both the actors confirmed the news through their Twitter accounts and evidently, they cannot be more excited.

Honestly, the “out-of-the-box, raucous horror-comedy” part has got us hooked. But it looks like we will have to wait a long time as both the actors have way too many prior commitments.

The film is expected to go on floors in the first week of January 2018. Other details of the movie have been kept under wraps.

Shraddha recently wrapped up the Hyderabad shoot schedule for her upcoming movie ‘Saaho’ opposite ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas. She is also simultaneously preparing for the biopic on Saina Nehwal.

On the other hand, Rao is currently working on ‘Fanney Khan’ opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor and will also be seen opposite Sonam Kapoor in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’.

Looks like both the actors are on a roll!

The nation was left in shock yesterday as the news of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor’s demise came in. The actor-producer, who most regard as a legend, had been unwell for a while now and breathed his last yesterday at the age of 79.

The youngest son of Prithviraj Kapoor, Shashi left a mark in the industry and set the bar too high with some memorable roles in films like ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’ (1965), ‘Kabhie Kabhie’ (1976), and ‘Kalyug’ (1981). He started acting in films as a child in the late 1940s and eventually, went behind the production wheel too for some films.

Throughout his career as an actor, he appeared in more than 150 films and with each one, he won over the hearts of millions of people with not just his extremely good looks but also with his exceptional performances.

His iconic dialogues, one of them being the world-famous “Mere paas maa hai” from the movie ‘Deewar’, are here to stay for decades to come.

Needless to say, the Indian film industry is grief-stricken. As soon as the news was confirmed by his nephew Randhir Kapoor, tributes started to pour in on Twitter by the Bollywood fraternity and other celebrities.

Shashi Kapoor’s ‘Babbua’ Amitabh Bachchan tweeted a link to a long blog post where he has expressed his feelings.

In his blog post, Amitabh revealed how he felt that Shashi had ‘let himself go’ after the demise of his wife Jennifer Kendal.

“He had been ailing .. somewhere he had let himself go after the passing away of his dear wife Jennifer .. I had visited him on occasion in Hospital during some of the times he had been hospitalised earlier .. but I never went to see him again .. I would never have .. I never ever wanted to see this beautiful friend and ‘samdhi’ in the state I saw him in hospital …. and I did not today, when they informed me that he had gone.”

Salman Khan- a household name that has the power to melt hearts of women across the planet. And if we are honest enough, men aren’t too far behind in terms of fanboying over this superstar. 1. ‘Race 3’

2. ‘Dabangg 3’

It’s safe to say that when ‘Dabangg’ released in 2010, Salman’s career was catapulted to further heights. The crazy amount of success and love that the film was able to garner from fans across the world resulted in the sequel of the movie ‘Dabangg 2’ and now, there’s a third installment in the works and there is confirmation about the same. Sonakshi Sinha, who starred opposite Salman in the first two installments, will be in the third part as well. On being asked about the schedule in an interview she said, “The shoot begins probably early next year. They are currently scripting. It is in a very early stage. I am busy with my film and Salman will begin shooting for ‘Race 3’. So after that, till then, the process is on.”

3. ‘Kick 2’

Salman’s avatar of the ‘Devil’ in the movie ‘Kick’ left the audience in awe. The movie was a blockbuster and so it totally made sense to go ahead and come up with a sequel. Although there isn’t an official confirmation about the same, according to some reports, director Sajid Nadiadwala was secretly busy working on the script for some time. And apparently, the film has finally got a green signal from Salman. The sequel will kick off in 2019.

4. ‘Wanted 2’

When Prabhu Deva and Salman Khan team up, a blockbuster is bound to hit the theatres. Since quite some time now, the ‘Wanted’ sequel was stuck amid a legal issue due to copyright infringement issues. However, according to reports, the courts have now ruled in the producer’s favour and Salman and Prabhu have already had a meeting about the project. 

5. ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’

You saw this coming, didn’t you? How can we not talk about this one?

‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is the sequel to ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ that released back in 2012. The film was a major success and starred Katrina Kaif opposite Salman. And now, fans of the power pair will get another opportunity to see the duo together on screen in this action-packed film. The trailer sure looks promising. 

Now, it’s a little early to squeal with excitement and so we can only sit and wait for official announcements about certain projects. But until that happens, Salman is coming to grace your nearest theatre on December 22 with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
