Salman Khan- a household name that has the power to melt hearts of women across the planet. And if we are honest enough, men aren’t too far behind in terms of fanboying over this superstar. Time and again, the man has proved that his success is unparalleled and even at the age of 51; there’s no stopping him. 

Much to the delight of his fans, Salman has a number of movies lined up in the upcoming years. And that even isn’t the best part. The fact that he is going to star in the sequels of some of the best movies that Bollywood has seen so far, is just the cherry on top of the cake. 

Here are 5 upcoming sequels with our very own Sallu in the lead: 

1. ‘Race 3’

In the past few days, a lot has been said and done about ‘Race 3’ and for all the right reasons. When Salman tweeted, what essentially can be termed as a confirmation about the star cast of the film, the whole country sat up and took notice.

Salman would be seen opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and we’d also get to see Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem in pivotal roles. Although there isn’t a release date just yet, but his fans can rejoice as Salman himself has officially stated that the shooting has now begun.

2. ‘Dabangg 3’

It’s safe to say that when ‘Dabangg’ released in 2010, Salman’s career was catapulted to further heights. The crazy amount of success and love that the film was able to garner from fans across the world resulted in the sequel of the movie ‘Dabangg 2’ and now, there’s a third installment in the works and there is confirmation about the same. Sonakshi Sinha, who starred opposite Salman in the first two installments, will be in the third part as well. On being asked about the schedule in an interview she said, “The shoot begins probably early next year. They are currently scripting. It is in a very early stage. I am busy with my film and Salman will begin shooting for ‘Race 3’. So after that, till then, the process is on.”

3. ‘Kick 2’

Salman’s avatar of the ‘Devil’ in the movie ‘Kick’ left the audience in awe. The movie was a blockbuster and so it totally made sense to go ahead and come up with a sequel. Although there isn’t an official confirmation about the same, according to some reports, director Sajid Nadiadwala was secretly busy working on the script for some time. And apparently, the film has finally got a green signal from Salman. The sequel will kick off in 2019.

4. ‘Wanted 2’

When Prabhu Deva and Salman Khan team up, a blockbuster is bound to hit the theatres. Since quite some time now, the ‘Wanted’ sequel was stuck amid a legal issue due to copyright infringement issues. However, according to reports, the courts have now ruled in the producer’s favour and Salman and Prabhu have already had a meeting about the project. 

5. ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’

You saw this coming, didn’t you? How can we not talk about this one?

‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is the sequel to ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ that released back in 2012. The film was a major success and starred Katrina Kaif opposite Salman. And now, fans of the power pair will get another opportunity to see the duo together on screen in this action-packed film. The trailer sure looks promising. 

Now, it’s a little early to squeal with excitement and so we can only sit and wait for official announcements about certain projects. But until that happens, Salman is coming to grace your nearest theatre on December 22 with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
