If we talk about the most underrated actors in Bollywood, R Madhavan is definitely going to make it to that list. Comparing him to the likes of the Khans or the newbies in the Bollywood industry, Maddy’s Bollywood career hasn’t exactly been that great. Despite that, he has a loyal fan following who wait with bated breath to see him on the big screen.

This time, however, he is taking a different route and is coming to your TV screens. Or on your Amazon Prime account, to be precise.

Over the last few weeks, Madhavan has taken to his social media to give us small glimpses of his digital series ‘Breathe’ with Amazon Prime.

And we were beyond stoked when we read the official synopsis which says, “Breathe is a gritty psychological drama that follows the lives of ordinary men faced with extraordinary circumstances. Kabir Sawant (Amit Sadh), a brilliant but unconventional officer of the Mumbai Crime Branch, puts the pieces together of seemingly unconnected deaths that lead to an unlikely suspect – the affable Danny Mascarenhas (R. Madhavan). As Danny faces the difficult choice between morality and the slim possibility of saving his dying son’s life, Kabir will not stop till he cracks the case and delivers justice.”

We get to see some chilling visuals of someone getting drowned and a woman being hit by the car while Madhavan’s voice in the background thrills us to the core.

Bottom line being, the teaser has left us wanting for more and will do the same to you.

The show is set to be Amazon’s first trilingual digital series and will stream in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Directed by Mayank Sharma, the series also stars Amit Sadh and Sapna Pabbi and is set to release on 26th January across 200+ countries and territories worldwide.

Anyone and everyone who has seen ‘Black Mirror’ now has an extremely different perception about new technology. The science fiction anthology television series focuses on the consequences of new technologies, most of which we are not prepared for.

With every new season, it exceeds our expectations and the latest season was no exception. With 6 episodes that cover a wide and eclectic range of film genres, we couldn’t have been happier. 

But, there was one episode that garnered the most attention- ‘USS Callister’.

The wildly similar Star Trek vibes that this episode gave the audience was the reason why it became the most popular one out of the lot. And those who loved it beyond words are now in for a treat.

The director of the episode, Toby Haynes said in an interview that he would love to see it as a TV series. (Who wouldn’t really?). Here is what he said to The Hollywood Reporter,

“I was talking with Louise Sutton, who produced this and ‘Metalhead’, and she cooked up a brilliant idea of spinning it off into a TV series. I’d love to do a TV series of USS Callister — it’s probably one of the best pilots for a space show, ever. And I made it! So I’m keen to see it as a TV series. I think Charlie might revisit it as a Black Mirror. Whether I’m the one to do it, I don’t know. Being a fan of the show as much as I am, and being a part of making it, I’d love to work with that crew and cast again. It’s a gift for a director.”

Honestly, we would love to see each one of Black Mirror’s episodes in the form of a TV series but ‘USS Callister’ definitely seems like a good start.

For a lot of people, New Year’s Eve means watching a plethora of Bollywood award shows that the end of the year brings. However, over the past few years, these award shows have earned a nasty reputation for themselves due to a variety of reasons. 

You might recall that only recently, Zee Cine Awards became the butt of jokes as they awarded ‘Golmaal Again’ the “best movie of the year” and Varun Dhawan the “best actor of the year”. And just when we thought it can’t get worse than this, Star Screen Awards stepped up.

Now it’s great to see new talent being appreciated and we don’t mind new award categories being created for this purpose. But creating nonsensical award categories for actors who have been working in the industry for years now is downright absurd. 

This year, the Star Screen Awards introduced a ‘Nothing to Hide’ award and the recipients of the same were Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor.

Given that Akshay is a health freak, we are pretty sure he is taking good care of himself and he looking thinner is just because of a camera angle. Nevertheless, we definitely want to see more pictures of him and seeing that cute dog is just the icing on top of the cake.
