In 2016, Pan Bahar, an Indian pan masala brand shook the whole world by roping in Pierce Brosnan to endorse their product. While, they hit a jackpot with the Hollywood makeover, our beloved Mr. Bond found himself surrounded not by criminals but by memes and jokes, which were hilarious to deal with.

When someone shifts from liking his vodka martini ‘shaken, not stirred’ to chewing a pan masala because ‘class never goes out of style’, there was obviously no way on earth that he could have escaped being the butt of all jokes.

And with the conviction he endorsed the pan masala, some of us were already considering chewing this elixir of success because this is ‘Pehchan Kamyabi Ki’. I am sure the moment you heard Pierce Brosnan and Pan Bahar, you started imagining Brosnan as James Bond, introducing himself in the movie – “Mah naeeee is Booon, thooo (spits pan masala), James Bond.”

After being trolled for this endorsement, ‘The November Man’ has finally spoken. The 64-year-old actor stated that the company Pan Bahar “cheated” him and kept him in the dark about the “hazardous” nature of the product.

After he was issued a show-cause notice, the actor sent in a written reply to the Delhi State Tobacco Control Cell. According to a report in The Times Of India, Additional Director (Health) S K Arora told PTI, “In a written reply to the Delhi State Tobacco Control Cell, the actor stated that he got cheated by the company as the latter did not disclose the hazardous nature of the product and other terms and conditions of the contract of advertisement.”

In fact, Brosnan further said that his agreement with the brand was over, and he was ready to extend support and cooperation to the department against such campaigns. Arora further said, “He has given an undertaking in writing that he would never assist any company with regard to promotion of such products or other such harmful products in future.”He further appealed to all the celebrities to not indulge in such advertisements since they adversely influence the minds of youngsters.

Under section 5 of The Cigarette and Other Tobacco Product Act (COTPA), 2003 direct or indirect advertisement of tobacco products is banned.

Not cool, Pan Bahar, not cool.

“How can you judge a movie by looking at a teaser that’s not even a minute long? 30 seconds to be precise,” was the first question that came to my mind after I watched the latest teaser of ‘Ready Player One’.

In case, you haven’t checked your notifications yet, Warner Bros. India just dropped this short-but-kickass video. And it is so f**king good that I am losing my mind here waiting for the movie to hit the theatres already.

I have watched this teaser multiple times, partly because I had to write this story, but that’s not the point. I have already bragged about how kickass the trailer was; now it’s time for me to give a breakdown of the things I loved in this one.

0:04 – You won’t have to wait for long because the moment the video starts, you know you’re in for something really good. Who doesn’t want to climb Mt. Everest with…Batman?

 0:10 – Ok that’s it folks, I am out of here because I want to find a way to talk to Steven Speilberg and get myself into one of these worlds where you can be anyone.

0:13 – 0:17 – Sheer moments of joy and let me tell you guys, this is not coming from a Chucky or King Kong fangirl. Or maybe it is. Who cares? I am in love with it already.

0:24 – Thanks for saying it mate.

It’s fine if you don’t trust my words, this teaser is proof that time or video-length does not really matter when you pack decades of pop-culture in one frame and turn it into one of the best movies of this year (We hope so).

Steven Spielberg is a genius and just like his others sci-fi movies ‘Jaws’, ‘E.T the Extra-Terrestrial’, ‘Jurassic Park’; he has worked his magic around this one too, which is an adaptation of Ernest Cline’s 2011 novel of the same name.

If our future looks even a fragment of what Spielberg shows in his movies, can someone please accept my application for the position of a time-traveler? Imagine living in a world where Chucky and King Kong co-exist. Who cares? We won’t get any attention or acknowledgment there either.   

‘Ready Player One’ is expected to release on March 30, 2018.

Unless you were vacationing in some exotic island and caught up with the Internet only now, you will have come across the post, where Sunny Leone announced the birth of her twins. In the beginning of this week, Sunny announced the news of the birth of Asher Sigh Weber and Noah Singh Weber via surrogacy. 

She posted the family’s photo on Instagram and wrote, “God’s plan! June 21st, 2017 was the day Daniel and I found out that we might possibly be having three children within a short amount of time. We planned and tried to have a family and after so many years are family is now complete with Asher Singh Weber, Noah Singh Weber and Nisha Kaur Weber.”

In fact, in July last year, Sunny set another great example by adopting their first child Nisha Kaur Weber. While the couple’s friends, family and fans are thrilled with the news, it’s interesting to know how the two chose to go for the unconventional ways of pregnancy.

Last year, filmmaker Karan Johar welcomed twins Roohi and Yash. Both were born through surrogacy. A single father, Johar dotes on his kids and his Instagram speaks volumes about how he is taking his duties as a dad seriously and having the time of his life, with his bundles of joy.

In fact, this year on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Johar shared a special message for his little girl Roohi and wrote, “I was raised by a woman who had a strong mind…an independent mind and a solid soul…she taught me how to live a fearless life along with a strong sense of right and wrong! She also taught me the art of abandon! She made me the man I am….a man who is honoured to be raised by a woman of substance! Roohi my darling I hope I raise you to be just like your grandmother….#happywomensday.”

Tusshar Kapoor

No matter how you feel about his movies or his acting, there is one role that Tusshar plays just perfectly. That role is of a father to his son Laksshya, who was born through surrogacy using IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation). As a single father, Tusshar stunned everyone with his bold decision of getting a baby and treading the path of parenthood. And his Instagram is proof that he deserves the award for the world’s best dad.

Sushmita Sen

When we talk about adoption, how can we not talk about our former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen? She is not only one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood, but also a powerful source of inspiration for all the single mothers and women in the world.

At a time, when couples were still scared to go for adoption, Sushmita fought with the world, adopted a girl child in 2000 and is raising her as a single mother. She named her daughter Renee. In 2010, she adopted another girl child Alisah. Sushmita is an epitome of true woman power. 

Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun is not only one of the greatest actors in Bollywood, but also a great human being and a hero in real life. Almost every other day we hear stories of a girl child being abandoned or killed. But, how many of us actually do something to change this social evil?  Years ago, a baby girl was rescued by an NGO, after they found her abandoned near a garbage dump.

When Mithun got to know about the baby, who was extremely weak then, he immediately decided to adopt her. His wife Yogita Bali was completely supportive of his decision, and the couple adopted her and named her Dishani Chakraborty. Dishani has now grown up into a beautiful young girl who is the apple of her family’s eye. She is currently studying at the New York Film Academy. Honestly, after getting to know this side of his, we feel Mithun deserves or should we say commands all the respect in the world.

Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood’s King Khan stunned the whole world, when he announced the birth of his third child AbRam. However, what’s surprising was the fact that AbRam was born via surrogacy. Back then, Shah Rukh Khan had reportedly said, “Amidst all the noise that has been going around, the sweetest is the one made by our newborn baby, AbRam. He was born prematurely by several months, but has finally come home.”

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao also opted for surrogacy using the IVF technique to bring son Azad Rao Khan into the world. The couple was vocal about the process and even released a letter where they thanked the doctors for making it happen, and talked about the medical complications involved in their case.

Farah Khan

Farah Khan gave birth to not one kid or twins, but triplets via IVF and surrogacy. The filmmaker is not only proud of the fact she had children through IVF, but also feels that opening up about it will give courage to those who were scared to go for it. Reportedly, Farah said, “It is important that we come forward and take pride in this because it give so much courage and so much hope to people who want to do it, but are scared to do it properly.”

She even jokingly once said, “I proudly say that my children are from IVF and no, a pizza man did not deliver you.”

We believed Superheroes can do anything, but we guess when it comes to surfing, Thor still needs his strict as hell, super talented and tough surf coach. This coach also happens to be his 5-year-old daughter India Rose Hemsworth.

We guess athleticism or should we say superpowers runs in the Hemsworth family. And Chris’ daughter is nothing short of a superhero herself. How else can one explain this video where she is fearlessly riding on her father’s back while he surfs and carves perfect waves in the water.

Her confidence level and kickass surfing skills definitely makes her the new cool kid on the block, who can easily beat Taimur Ali Khan or AbRam in popularity. 

While, some of us were busy eating mud or building sand castles or just playing with water at the age of 5 or 3, Thor’s kids are already turning out to be a pro at surfing.
