'Sui Dhaaga' First Look: Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma Are The Perfect Middle Class Indian Couple

Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma are among Bollywood’s most talented actors, and now they have come together for a film that has already created quite a stir in tinsel town.

Anushka and Varun have stepped into a new avatar, transporting us back to a different era for their new movie ‘Sui Dhaaga’. This is the first time the two have collaborated together.

One look at the stills and you can’t help but feel delighted at the refreshing look. It’s been a while since we have seen something like this in Bollywood.

The actors shared the first look of the film and we are totally loving it. You see the pair smiling, blushing and feeling a bit shy, all in one still.

Varun can be seen donning a moustache reminding us of actors from the 80’s and Anushka is seen wearing her shinning smile with a plain looking salwaar kameez.

Based on the ideology of ‘Make In India’, the film is directed by ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ maker Sharat Katariya.

Talking about the film, earlier Varun told PTI, “From Gandhiji to Modiji, our country’s leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this movie. Anushka and I are teaming up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”

Even Anushka loved this unique script and said, “I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. ‘Sui Dhaaga’ is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian. And, I’m really looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan and the team of Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya.”

Randeep Hooda is one of the fittest actors in Bollywood. Be it acting or other activities, the actor is known for doing everything to the best of his capabilities. Many know that the actor is quite active in sports and also co-owns Super Fighter League (SFL) team ‘Haryana Sultans’.

This time the actor has taken a new job in hand and will help train a handful of Mumbai’s firefighters in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). This will be the first-ever MMA firefighter league and his team’s captain Ranvindra Balhara will be training the five firefighters for the same.

The team will be launched next month and it is believed that even Randeep will take a personal session with them. That would be one session to watch indeed!

Talking about this step he said in a statement, “It’s a matter of honour to contribute constructively to these role models who are risking their lives for us. The Chief Fire Officer Prabhat Ragandale will be part of this league as well. As reported by IANS, if everything goes as per plans, this will be the first ever Fire Fighters Combat League.

The horse runs at a speed of 43 kilometres per hours and has aced in 19 races. Siraj had bought this wonderful horse from a fair in Rajasthan.

Since the time we saw Michael B Jordan as Eric Killmonger in the many teasers and trailers of ‘Black Panther’, one can’t help but admire the way this man keeps taking up roles that challenge him, not just mentally but physically as well.

One look at the trailer and you are blown away by his stunning physique. It all started from ‘Creed’ where he was required to undergo major body transformation, and taking up Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ just added more to the list.

The moment he signed this film, he knew that his character would demand him to take up some of the most challenging workouts ever and undergo intense training. Well, having read a lot about Jordan before I met him in person, I knew the actor went through pre-movie training programs but I was shocked to find out the process he went through to get into Eric’s skin.

The first time I noticed Jordan was when he first appeared in Ryan Coogler’s ‘Creed’ along with Sylvester Stallone. Honestly, I was watching the film for ‘Rocky’ but with an incredible performance, Jordan proved his mettle. His addiction with workout and gym started from ‘Creed’ but ‘Black Panther’ only raised the bar for him.

Talking to MensXP Jordan revealed the heights of his training. He would try to work out at least twice a day and drink a lot of water. If you thought to get that magnificent body was an easy job, let me tell you it requires a lot of dedication, hard work, and commitment.

One conversation with Jordan and you realise he is very particular about what he drinks and eat, and follows a proper regime to get into that shape that has got everyone talking about his chiselled body.

Talking about his routine he said, “There is no secret. It is hard work and lot of sacrifice. Like diet is extremely important. Eat like every three hours. And I work out once or twice a day if I can. It’s about being consistent. This is the second time I have really tried to change my body. ‘Creed’ was the first time I tried to shred up and in this one, I really want to just get bigger being the antagonist and being the bad guy. I wanted to look intimidating on screen.”

As I waited eagerly along with other interviewers in tow, we were freezing in -15 °C because Seoul was super cold! However the only thing keeping us going was the wait for Academy Award winner, Lupita Nyong’o. The freezing weather was harsh for everyone and Lupita was also not spared by the cold. We were informed that she was a bit unwell and honestly speaking, if this was Bollywood, I can say from my past experiences that the interviews would have been put on hold or even called off, but turned out Lupita was a serious professional. She was aware that people from all over Asia were there to interview her and she took it very responsibly. In no time she was present with us and all set to roll.

Thanks to her familiar face in the Star Wars franchise, the people in the geek space recognise her easily. Her entry in the Marvel universe will however, elevate her presence and ‘Black Panther’ is obviously going to take her places. She is an exceptional actress with a laugh that fills you with warmth and exudes immense confidence. She is flawless and can easily infect you with her charm. As I sat with her, I couldn’t help but appreciate her tendency of being vibrant and chirpy, despite being exhausted. When asked about how does she feel to be one of the strongest female characters in the Marvel Universe, she laughed and said, “Well, I am obviously really excited to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I love my character Nakia. I love her subtle understated strength and then her ferocity with which she fights. It feels great……just great. And how do I do it? I don’t know yet…I just don’t know except that I love acting.”

She has seen following the hashtag #BlackPantherSoLit which has been trending on social media, and these things totally get her excited as the film is about to hit the screens. If you have watched her stunts in the trailer, then you will agree that she is mind blowing in those thrilling action sequences. However, doing them was obviously not so easy. Sharing her experience about performing the toughest stunts, she said, “Which was the toughest stunt? The casino one was tough just because it was a technological challenge and it involved over 70 people. So it was a lot to take in, not just the stunt but also the timing of the stunts, it was a lot to take in.”

When asked about what she thinks of T’Challa (played by Chadwick Boseman) as a ruler, she dropped some hints about what the new king feels and Nakia’s dilemma, though she didn’t reveal much about the film for obvious reasons. “She supports him as a ruler. When we meet him, he is a new King. He has a lot of questions about how he is going to rule, like what the future of his country is going to be with him in charge, and Nakia is the woman of the world who sees power and strength of Wakanda, but she also sees the opportunity that the country could have outside. So there are a lot of things going on and you will see when you watch the film.”

To get a better understanding of her equation with T’Challa and Kill Monger (played by Micheal B Jordan), we asked her what she likes and dislikes about them and she shared; “She loves the fact that T’Challa is a listening ruler and one thing she doesn’t like maybe his slippers (laughs). About Kill Monger, I would say she didn’t love his anger and I don’t know what she loves when it comes to Kill Monger.”

This makes us wonder that her character is going to take a different route in the film than that mentioned in the comic.

Before our interview concluded she also spilled the beans on who was the most popular guy on the sets and while recalling it, she just couldn’t control her excitement. “Winston Duke was the most popular guy on the sets. He had such swag as M’Baku in the film. He had some best lines, some of which didn’t make it into the final film but he just had a way with it. We were always making fun of it on the sets because he said those lines with so much authority and veracity, so he was definitely the most popular,” she shared.

Black Panther will hit the screens on 16th February 2018, and we are sure you are excited as we are for the film.

When he first donned that stunning black latex suit in 2016, little did Chadwick Boseman know that it was just a beginning to many bigger thing that awaited him . Chadwick enjoys the pleasure of having a Marvel movie to his name, something that many Hollywood actors dream to have, but very few achieve. So naturally, it was extremely interesting to interview a talent house who has climbed the success ladder all by himself.

Sitting in front of Chadwick Boseman and talking to him was a phenomenal experience. Within no time one simply ends up being in awe of him! He is effortless and an exceptional performer, not just because he is playing a Marvel superhero but also because he puts his heart and soul in everything he decides to take up. No amount of work is small or big for this guy, he just believes in giving it his best shot.

After getting an opportunity to observe and converse with him personally, I realised that he is not just a stellar actor, but is also an extraordinary human being. He knows he is popular but he also understands that it’s the love of his fans that has helped him earn that place. That is something that he truly values and nurtures. He also makes sure he is fulfilling the expectations that his fans have from him

While many celebrities chose to simply wave and smile as they walked past their eager fans, Chadwick made sure he was giving autographs, posing happily for pictures and smiling to all his fans out there. Obviously, his fans were rejoiced with his humbleness! It is a big deal for a big name like Chadwick to go all out and spend time with the people who give him so much love. It’s gestures like these that make you believe that an actor is meant to grow in his career.

Talking to him was a fun experience because he has the knack of making you feel comfortable and enjoy his company thoroughly. When we talked about him playing the ‘King of Wakanda’ in his forthcoming film ‘Black Panther’, the actor talked to MensXP about the response that has been coming his way. “I had a lot of different responses. I have also had people actually treating me like I was the king and opening doors for me and do certain things”.

From playing a small part in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, to getting his own stand-alone film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, T’Challa’s character was artistically developed. There are so many different layers, emotions, and sides of the character that were meticulously layered. Divulging more details about the character, Chadwick said, “This particular journey of the character in this movie, we are meeting him after Civil Wars, so technically he is still mourning the death of his father. I think some of the anger and rage he gets comes from that death. It’s not that it went away, it’s now that he is more focused and he is more focused inside himself. He somewhere agrees that he allowed it to happen, so I think he is burdened that he has to take the throne, and at the same time, it is a celebration of what he has been raised to do.”

After watching the ‘Black Panther’, the stellar sequences of him performing those crazy stunts and doing those insane back flips boggled my mind. I couldn’t help but feel that this character in Black Panther’s life seemed to be from a Bollywood film. “You are seeing him in his glory at the beginning of the story and also being burdened by the past. You also see all these people who have started to affect him in different ways than that in the Civil War. Like you didn’t see his mother and sister, you didn’t see his love interest in that movie, so all those aspects bring out a very different part of his character,” Chadwick added.

Unlike other Marvel flicks , female characters play a very strong role in this superhero film and this role has not been limited to the movie. In fact, women have a strong hand in his real life as well. Sharing more about his life, Chadwick laughed heartily and said, “I am surrounded by strong women every day. Especially, my team, it’s made up of women. Be it travelling or on sets, my team has a larger group of women. My mom, my aunts who pray for me, I can go on and on about the strong women in my life. All I can say is I wouldn’t be here without them.” Chadwick signed off this interview by happily shouting “Wakanda Zindabad!” for all his Indian fans.

The cast and the crew are literally leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film. But today Akshay Kumar has booked his entire day for one person. As we speak here, Akshay Kumar is travelling to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The ‘Rustom’ actor has a 3-hour meeting lined up with PM Modi as he has arranged a special screening of his film for him.

And Akshay is clearly excited about the same. Speaking to SpotboyE a source said, “It’s an honour for the movie, its makers and the cast that PM Modi has expressed interest in seeing what the film has all about.”

Directed by R. Balki, the film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in vital roles. The film highlights the importance of menstrual hygiene which is still lacking in several parts of the country. And as per the statistics, 82% of women still don’t use sanitary pads during their menstrual cycles.

By this film, the makers are trying to create awareness and make sure that women are not deprived of their basic rights. Well, we are pretty much excited to watch this film and are sure it will strike a chord with everyone.
