George Clooney Is Taking A Break After Selling A Tequila Company For 'A Billion F– Dollars'

George Clooney can do it all. He’s an incredible actor, director, producer, and away from Hollywood, he’s also an activist and a philanthropist. But, it turns out his biggest source of income comes from being a tequila baron.

The story behind how he started out with Casamigos Tequila is actually quite interesting. A few years ago, Clooney and his long-time friend Rande Gerber were building their side-by-side vacation homes in Cabo San Lucas. Since they spent so much time in Mexico, they obviously drank a lot of tequila.

Talking about their idea, Gerber said, “After a couple of months trying a lot of different tequilas, George turned to me and said, ‘Why don’t we just make our own? One that’s perfect for us to drink?’”

The pair also brought in their friend Michael Meldman, and when they launched their brand, they didn’t really set out to make money by selling tequila. But, as luck would have it, their little adventure in exploring the world of alcohol netted them a billion dollars.

The company was recently sold for a whopping $1 billion, and while Clooney only took home his portion of the sale, it’s still a huge amount. And, this also resulted in him taking a step back from acting.

Honestly, only George Clooney can accidentally start a billion-dollar business. Why don’t these kinds of accidents happen to any us?

He elaborated more on why we don’t see him in a lot of movies these days in an interview with The Sunday Times, saying, “Acting used to be how I paid the rent, but I sold a tequila company for a billion f— dollars. I don’t need money.”

But, that’s not the only reason; he also thinks that since he’s 56, he’s not really ‘the guy that gets the girl’ any more. He said, “Look, I acted for a long time and, you know, I’m 56. I’m not the guy that gets the girl anymore.” And, before anybody disagrees with him, he also quickly added that at least he shouldn’t be that guy.

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing much of him on the big screen anymore, but he’s not done with Hollywood as of yet. Now, he wants to concentrate more on his work behind the camera, and will only take up a role if he’s really passionate about it.

“I have money,” Clooney said. “So, I can fight to make movies I want to make. If you look at what I’ve been in over the past 15 years, for the most part they weren’t going to get made if I didn’t do them. Nobody was going to make ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, ‘Michael Clayton’ or ‘Up in the Air’, and I fought to get those out there.”

Since money is not at all an issue for him now, he has full creative freedom, and since he’s so passionate about what he does, it’s obviously going to turn out well.

But, he also made it clear that his departure from acting doesn’t mean that he’s joining politics. “So many people since Trump was elected have really been pushing on me to get more involved in actual politics, specifically at the highest office,” he said. “I don’t have political aspirations.”

After getting married, they seem to be having the time of their lives with all of their luxurious holidays, be it sunbathing or swimming in the ocean or when they’re toasting to their glamourous lifestyle on a private jet.

But, good things don’t last long, apparently, and soon enough, there’s trouble in paradise. It all starts when the architect of their dream house shamelessly starts flirting with Christian right in from of his wife. Ana is obviously pissed off and fires back, “please stop speaking to my husband as if I weren’t here.”

And, that is just the beginning; the plot just seems to get more and more sinister from there. The couple realizes they’re being stalked and there’s also a car chase through a beautiful wooded area and BOY can Ana drive. Turns out, the stalker is none other than Ana’s former boss, Jack Hyde, who had assaulted her in the second movie and it seems like he’s out for revenge.

All the drama aside, obviously it can’t be a ‘Fifty Shades’ movie without their crazy S&M room, and we get plenty of that in the trailer as well.

But, unlike the previous editions, ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ is going beyond their famous kinky and violent love. Giving the viewers a different side of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, the movie will be full of wild car chases and guns. Looks quite intense, to be honest.

The movie will also see Rita Ora, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk and Jennifer Ehle, among others, reprising their roles. With so much build-up, we are sure fans can hardly wait for this one last movie, but the ‘climax’ of the whole franchise is still a little far away. The movie will be releasing on 9th February next year, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Jon Snow Cried During A Read Through Of The Final GoT Episode Because He Knows Everything Now

Jon Snow knows everything now and the world will never be the same.

Well, it seems like the last season of ‘Game Of Thrones’ show will be a rollercoaster of emotions, not just for the fans, but even the actors.

Kit Harington, who has been playing the role of Jon Snow since the beginning of the show, revealed on BBC’s The One Show that he started crying when he, along with all the other cast members, sat down for a read through of the final episode of the insanely popular HBO show.

“We had a read through last week in fact, so I know everything now,” he said. “I cried at the end! You have to remember, I’ve done eight years of it… I get a bit weepy thinking about it.”

Even though the final season will come out in 2019, just the thought of its inevitable end has everyone quite emotional, even now. The actor admitted that just the thought of it ending seems very strange to him, especially after he has given the show his everything for the last eight years.

“I get a bit weepy thinking about it. It’s going to be to a strange year. Saying goodbye to everyone, having your last scene with this person or having your last scene with that person. Not only you’re attached to it, loads of people around the world are attached to it,” Harington said.

Obviously, he knows his character’s fate, but he has been ‘sworn to secrecy’. In fact, the makers are going to unbelievable lengths to keep all the twists and turns that are about to happen in the season finale of the show under wraps.

“[I was told], ‘Don’t tell them you’re filming. Don’t take pictures in Belfast. Don’t do all of that,’” he said. “It’s on lockdown!”

Although, the fact that his time in Westeros coming to an end is making him a little “weepy” right now, he has previously admitted that he was pleased to be finishing his run on the show, as it will give him the time to pursue other projects.

But, he can’t escape Jon Snow, and he probably never will. Just recently, his fiancé Rose Leslie made him dress up as Snow for a “bad taste” costume party.

Well, even though Kit now knows everything, we will still, unfortunately, have to wait two years for the finale.

Let’s get one thing clear – Heath Ledger was the best Joker of all time. Everyone has heard about his commitment to this demanding role, giving a phenomenal performance in the end. But unfortunately, he never got to see the massive impact he had as he died six months before ‘The Dark Knight’ was released.

He took method acting to a whole new level to portray the role of the of the comic book villain, and he was so set on getting the perfect take he actually wanted his co-star Christian Bale to hit him during the interrogation scene in The Dark Knight.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a new book called ‘100 Things Batman Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die’ by Joseph McCabe contains interviews Bale and Nolan from around the time of the film’s release, and he spoke with Ledger in November 2007 as well.

Bale said, “As you see in the movie, Batman starts beating the Joker and realises that this is not your ordinary foe. Because the more I beat him, the more he enjoys it. The more I’m giving him satisfaction. Heath was behaving in a very similar fashion.”

Since Ledger’s character had ‘a thirst for blood’, Bale said that while filming the interrogation scene, he started “egging him on”.

He said, “I was saying, ‘You know what? I really don’t need to actually hit you. It’s going to look just as good if I don’t’. And he’s going, ‘Go on. Go on. Go on…’ He was slamming himself around, and there were tiled walls inside of that set which were cracked and dented from him hurling himself into them. His commitment was total.”

Talking about what it was like working with the late actor, Bale said, “Our first scene was in an interrogation room together, and I saw that he’s a helluva actor who’s completely committed to it and totally gets the tone that Chris [Nolan] is trying to create with this.”

Bale also noted that Ledger completely embraced Nolan’s vision for the film — which was a darker drama, instead of just comic book “caricatures.”

He said, “We’re treating this as serious drama. You go into character and you stay in the character. I love that. I find that so ridiculous that I love it, and I take that very seriously. Heath was definitely embracing that. When he was in the makeup and the garb he was in character the whole time; and when he took it off he was absolutely fantastic company to be around.”

Later, Ledger was posthumously awarded the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as the Joker, which was absolutely well deserved.

The Final Trailer Of 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Is Finally Here And Halloween Just Got Creepier

‘Stranger Things’, a show that tells the story of a group of Dungeons & Dragons-loving preteen friends in 1980s Hawkins, Indiana, who stumble upon a disturbing government conspiracy in their own town, was kind of a surprise hit when it came out in July 2016. Even though the first season consisted of just eight episodes, the Netflix Original series managed to develop a huge cult following.

But, it has been more than a year since we’ve seen the gang, and waiting for the second season has been getting unbearable. With the release date getting closer and closer, Netflix has decided to gift us another trailer to get us even more excited for the next instalment. The trailer came out yesterday, appropriately on Friday the 13th.

The first season followed Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson and Lucas Sinclair go in search of their missing friend Will Byers. Will has been taken to the Upside Down, which is sort of an alternate reality where everything is the same, yet different. Although the place appears to resemble the real world, it is grey and lifeless. Moreover, it is inhabited by what the boys call the ‘Demogorgon’ — a monster that feeds on people. Though he is rescued successfully, everything is far from alright, with the season ending on a giant cliff-hanger.

The second season will be set a year after the events of the first one, showing the repercussions of Will’s stint in the Upside Down. The trailer kicks off with Eleven retrieving the waffles that Hopper left for her in the woods. They’ve also showed that Will is still quite messed up from his time in the Upside Down and keeps having flashbacks. We also get glimpses of the gigantic shadow monster that has appeared in other trailers.

The monsters are getting bigger, the kids are getting more intense, and Joyce is more frantic than ever. “These are not nightmares,” Hopper tells Joyce. “It’s happening. And it all leads back to here.”

All the episodes of season 2 will be released on Netflix on October 27.
